Coat of Many Colours Nursery in Uxbridge offers quality childcare and early education for children aged 3 months to school age. The nursery provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and develop through play and structured activities.
All staff are qualified, experienced, and DBS checked, ensuring a safe and nurturing space for children to thrive. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, covering all seven areas of development and supporting school readiness through communication, social skills, and creative learning.
Children benefit from a secure outdoor play area, accessible year-round, promoting physical development and curiosity. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (Dec 2022), the nursery is committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), working closely with families and professionals to provide tailored support.
The nursery provides healthy, freshly prepared meals daily and offers free meals for all children accessing 15-hour funded places. The setting accepts funding for eligible 9-month-olds, 2-year-olds, and all 3 & 4-year-olds under both 15 and 30-hour entitlements, with flexible hours to meet the needs of working families.

My daughter has loved this school from when she was a baby through preschool. Everyone has been very helpful, from the admin team who always listen when you have concerns to the teachers who are very supportive in and out of school. Our family has gone through struggles, and this school has been one of my daughter's foundations. She and I feel safe here. My daughter has learned a lot, especially through the monthly country and culture themes. She learned how to write her name, spell her name, and even name the capital of each country. She also made her best friends here.

I am very happy with my child going to this nursery. He's enjoying the time there very much, almost that he doesn't want to come back home! All the staff is welcoming, professional, very open to questions and concerns, and most importantly, they do their best to help the kids during the most important part of their development. Me and my wife could not ask for a better place to leave our beloved son for many hours a week! We definitely recommend this nursery if you want your child to be safe, entertained, and generally in good hands.

Our daughter has been attending Coat of Many Colours for almost two years, and we could not be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, the nursery team has provided a warm, caring, and stimulating environment where she has felt safe, supported, and encouraged to grow.
The staff are dedicated, professional, and genuinely attentive to each child's individual needs. They communicate regularly with parents and always make us feel involved in our daughter's learning journey. We have particularly appreciated their structured yet nurturing approach to early education, combining creative play, outdoor activities, and early literacy in a balanced way that keeps the children both engaged and happy.
We've seen remarkable progress in our daughter's confidence, communication skills, and curiosity since joining the nursery. She loves attending every day and often talks fondly about her teachers and friends.

Overall Experience
From our open day visit to the nursery, we knew this would be the place our child would have blossomed in to the ray of sunshine she is.
The staff are truly amazing and have really allowed us to feel at ease as a full time parents knowing she is supported, encouraged and developing to meet her...
From our open day visit to the nursery, we knew this would be the place our child would have blossomed in to the ray of sunshine she is.
The staff are truly amazing and have really allowed us to feel at ease as a full time parents knowing she is supported, encouraged and developing to meet her milestones in the nursery setting from age 1 to the point she is now ready to move on to reception school.

Love this nursery, everyone is very helpful and very kind. My son loves this nursery and he learns a lot from everyone and has made a lot of friends and always looks forward to coming to nursery everyday.
