Alpha Steps Nursery

We are so happy with the care and love both children received. Teachers are so warm and loving, my children skip into nursery. So happy.

We are very pleased with the safe and caring environment that has been fostered at Alpha Steps Nursery. Our son settled in very well at the nursery and is excited to go in the mornings. He responds well to all the staff and his key worker has really taken the time to get to know him and is invested in engaging the children in various stimulating activities throughout each day. Our son also very much enjoys his sessions with the external sports coach and Makaton teacher. The parent coffee mornings and term newsletters have been a welcome development and we are pleased with the overall communication. We would definitely recommend Alpha Steps to other parents looking for a reliable and caring nursery.

This is the second year that my daughter is attending this nursery. She is enjoying her time there. The staff are very professional and friendly. I like the facilities that this nursery has. I want to underline the outside area; children are excited to play outside, especially when it's nice weather. The rooms are newly renovated and very clean too.

The staff are very nurturing and welcoming. The environment feels very homely, with stimulating activities around the room. My child has progressed very well and enjoys the walk to the nursery every morning. She has built very good relationships, and I am pleased with the overall communication and the care my child receives at Alpha Steps.

My daughter went here from 2020-2022, and my son is currently here from the baby room and moving up into the toddler room. Both kids were and are incredibly happy there and have been stimulated, made good friends and are always happy to go in. Would highly recommend it as a place to send your kids!

My daughter has attended Alpha Steps Nursery since last year November 2022, I must say as a mother I was quite sceptical about placing her at nursery at first, however after our first show around, I had no doubt about placing her straight away at Alpha Steps. The staff are amazing and supportive and always have a great smile when greeting my daughter in the morning. My daughter comes home happy and loves her nursery. Happy mummy here x

Our son has been going to Alpha Steps Nursery for 6 months now and absolutely loves it. The staff are so friendly and you can tell they really care for him. He is very happy at drop off/pick up and enjoys being there. They do a variety of activities and have lots of outdoor play which is great. We get daily updates as to what he is up to, his naps etc. We couldn’t fault our experience with the nursery and would recommend. Could potentially do with having some more nutritional snacks/dinners on the menus but understand this can be difficult

We love and especially our son loves going to the nursery. The teachers are amazing One of the staff members is very passionate, professional and a kind soul. Good communication and daily feedback provided.

Over the course of our being involved with the nursery, communication has improved materially - to the extent that I would now say it is good. They use an app for updating parents on each day's activities, food, toileting, etc.

It's a caring and respectful nursery, where my kid is nurturing healthy and happy. The staff is reliable and attentive, they know all the kids well, and respect the kid's own pace, adjusting to their needs and requirements.

Very friendly and welcoming. My daughter is always excited to go to nursery and whenever I pick her up I would ask questions how was her day and she will respond fine. I am guessing this is due to the support she’s getting from all the teachers.

My child joined Alpha Steps last September in the baby room, the staff have been very helpful to us and my partner and I see the progress in motor skills, social skills and the confidence gained in new spaces. We are very happy with the teachers, they are lovely and it seems our child is very happy to spend time with them too. Also, we highly appreciate we are able to see through the app what our child does, eats and how long they sleep. We are very happy with Alpha Steps.

Overall, happy with the nursery and the staff. My child is happy there and that’s what matters. Also loving the app where I can see what my child has done during the day, what he has eaten, etc

My daughter has been at Alpha Steps since she was 16 months old and is now about to graduate from the preschool room to start reception. We have been, on the whole, very happy with the care she has received at the nursery. The staff are warm and lovely, plus the nursery is on the smaller side so it seems very familiar and like a close-knit community. My daughter is due to leave preschool knowing her letters, how to write her name and basic maths, so completely ready to start school. The recent refurb means the nursery looks great, bright and airy, and like a fun place to play. The only issue we've had over the years is communication which can be up and down - a lot of this was due to Covid and staff shortages, however, staff have always been very responsive when I have chased specific things. On the whole, I would highly recommend Alpha Steps.

My son attended Alpha Steps Nursery, he had the best care, he thoroughly enjoyed coming to nursery. The staff were fab, they were so caring and were able to cater for his needs. I would definitely recommend this nursery. He was in preschool and he was able to have 1 to 1 sessions with a maths and French teacher who prepared him for reception.

My daughter has been at the nursery for 6 months now and really enjoys herself there. The staff are very personal - it seems like a tight and close-knit community between the staff and children. The nursery is currently undergoing a complete refurb - we are excited to see the new space and the new outdoor area for the children to use.

We have had both our children at Alpha Steps for a total of seven years. One of the most important things for me has always been the attitudes of the staff and how happy my children are. Alpha Steps seem to have a knack for hiring caring staff who you are confident leaving your children with. Some of the staff have been there for many years so they too must be happy with the family-like atmosphere. My children have always been well attended by staff who know them well and care about them and most importantly they always seemed very happy at Alpha Steps.

My daughter attended Alpha Steps for 2 years before she went to school. I must admit the nursery has come a long way, there has been a dramatic development in the staffing and management from when we first started. My daughter was extremely happy at the nursery and was able to develop beyond her initial developmental stage. She received great care and I will be bringing my new baby to the nursery in November. I would definitely recommend it.
