Poppits Day Nursery

Leaving is bittersweet, but we are forever grateful for the memories and the strong foundation Poppits has given her. Highly recommended to any parent!

Poppits has been brilliant! I've had 3 children successfully go through from baby room through to graduating to big school. The nursery has always felt like family, with all children getting close, personalised care and tailored support for their development. The staff are absolutely wonderful, working as a team to look after all of the children. As children progress there are wonderful extracurricular activities, including ballet and swimming. The nursery really drives children's development and socialisation. The outdoor spaces are great, with the mud kitchen being a favourite! Highly recommended for babies, toddlers and preparation for preschool.

Overall we have been very happy with the nursery team and we will really miss all of them!

My wife and I are extremely happy with Poppits Nursery. Our now 3.5-year-old started in the baby room at 18 months, before progressing to the toddler group and then preschool. In each group, he has had a key worker we have been able to speak in detail with about his development. They have really helped to nurture him in so many ways, he has so many great friendships there and loves all of the staff. I think the features that make Poppits stand out from others we have learned about in the area are: 1. The really solid group of staff who you can tell all really enjoy their jobs and love the children. There has been very little turnover of staff since he started so we have developed strong relationships over time. 2. Great outdoor space, opportunities to use the swimming pool, bouncy castle and studio all within the leisure centre. 3. Really amazing events such as sports day, Christmas nativity play and graduation which help bring the parents together too. We will cherish these memories forever!

Our daughter started at Poppits in January 2024. The staff were very flexible with her settling in taking into consideration her needs as well as ensuring I was kept up to date with her progress. They have supported her allergies well. The staff are extremely dedicated and come up with creative ways to foster creativity and development. She is very excited to go to nursery each day and has bonded well with staff and peers. It is a wonderful nursery where each child is known so well individually and their care is tailored as such. It is a fantastic family feel and we are so pleased to have chosen it.

I feel we hit the jackpot with Poppits Day Nursery - both our children love it. The staff are very caring, and for myself and my husband, not having close family in London, they have felt like an extended family to my kids.

Our son has been at Poppits for coming up to eighteen months now and we are so glad we sent him there. He was extremely premature (born at 25 weeks) and so there was additional fear about him going to a nursery around the time of his first birthday but the staff have created a stellar environment for children to feel - and be - safe and to flourish. They are always undertaking productive activities to help the children develop, especially when it comes to group play for those without siblings and some of the messier things like painting, glue, etc which most of us just aren't in a position to manage the consequences of at home. All of the children are happy to go in the door each morning and barely give a glance back which I see as a great indicator, as is the fact that there are so many 'repeat customers' who come back with the new additions to their families.

Such a great nursery, we could not be happier. The staff are engaging, interesting and fun and are clearly selected very carefully. Our two children could not be happier and run in every day. Excellent facilities not available at other nurseries in the area including a bouncy castle, great outdoor area, swimming lessons for the preschool children and aircon. Do not be put off by this nursery being in the leisure centre - it's an asset!

I can't recommend Poppits Day Nursery enough - they are brilliant in every respect and my son is so happy there! Every single person working at Poppits is kind, nurturing and supportive of the children, and they are all incredibly friendly and communicative at pickup and dropoff as well as on the app they use to share information with us. My son has been at Poppits for a year now and he has done so many fun activities and formed bonds with so many different team members so much so that when we see them at the leisure centre on non-nursery days, he waves and wants to go see them. They focus on what matters and what I love most is their ethos - they help our little people learn to be empathetic, kind and all-round lovely human beings, thank you Poppits.

I cannot recommend Poppits Day Nursery highly enough. The manager and her team are caring, skilled and fully engaged with all the children. My daughter was there for just over eighteen months and her development in that time has been amazing. They teach, they nurture and they promote kindness and empathy amongst the children. I was sad when the time came to leave but confident that my daughter was ready for school thanks to the wonderful experience she had there. There wasn't a day when she didn't want to go in or a day when she came home anything other than positive.

We couldn’t be happier with our son’s experience at Poppits Day Nursery and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We have found Poppits to be a nurturing, stimulating and friendly environment for our son, who has flourished during his time there. The staff do an amazing job planning activities that develop and engage children. Thanks to the app, it is easy to see what our son is doing during the day and we’re always impressed by the varied and imaginative activities: from arts and crafts to learning about numbers and letters, to discovering different cultures. He also enjoys playing in the well equipped garden. Alongside the app, there is also great in person communication between parents and Poppits. All the staff are fantastic and are happy to take the time to discuss and provide feedback. They really know and care about our son. It’s also great that the manager is so hands on and clearly knows all the children very well, her experience and knowledge are much appreciated.

Poppits has been an invaluable part of my life for the last 6 years. The teaching and learning provided by Poppits is wonderful and prepared both of them for their next stage at school. The Christmas play, Sports Day and Graduation Day are exceptional. The staff work hard to provide care and work together as a team. All of the staff members knew both of my children very well. The extras like tennis, swimming, ballet, bouncy castle (pre-Covid) and mindfulness are great extras for building their skills and confidence. The outdoor play, celebrations, the handful of art coming back, and imaginary play are things they still talk about. The staff are approachable and give daily feedback. I had no hesitation leaving my children under their care and I would highly recommend Poppits Nursery. Both my children are sociable, happy, academic, and confident due in part to their time there.

We love Poppits Day Nursery. Our son started at three years old, he had previously been at a childminder and this was his first nursery experience. It took less than a week and it was as if he had always been going. The teachers are great! They really get to know your child, they are kind and caring. The thoughtful lessons on family, phonics, letters and creative arts meant that our son came home within a week and knew the letters in his name and was learning how to hold a pencil and write letters. Something he had no experience with before Poppits Day Nursery. We love the app, getting to see daily pictures of activities and his learning journal that really focuses on his development. The variety of crafts, sports and activities despite Covid-19 has been fantastic. Our son loves it and runs in everyday. He comes home worn out, in a good way from the day’s activities. We would highly recommended Poppits Day Nursery.

Our son attended the nursery for almost four and a half years until he started school. He absolutely loved it! I can not recommend Poppits Day Nursery enough. The staff were very friendly, supportive and caring and it is good value for money. Special thanks to the preschool staff and the manager for all that they do to prepare the kids for school. He is doing exceptionally well at school. Thank you to all the team!

My son has had attended Poppits Day Nursery since he was seventeen months old and it took some time to settle but due to the care received and the very friendly staff, this transition happened very smoothly. The quality of care is exceptional and the facilities are great. They’ve got a very nice garden to play in and they do a lot of interesting activities outdoors, like cultivating vegetables and learning about the plants' development. All staff are very professional and helpful, they provide the right care for every child. My son really enjoys going to nursery and takes part in all the activities during the day. As parents, for us, the nursery app is very useful to use, be in touch with the staff and be updated daily with useful information about the meals, activities, photos and everything regarding our son. I really appreciate all the efforts made to keep the nursery open and all the children safe during this difficult pandemic situation! I highly recommend!

I cannot recommend the Poppits Day Nursery highly enough. My child has grown from a baby into a confident toddler over the years, so has met with most of the competent, caring and friendly staff. They know each child's strengths and weaknesses, provide solid advice or make recommendations. They pick up on small things, that may turn into bigger issues and always have an open ear, even during stressful times and they are personable and sincere. Food and beverage is excellent, their approach to menus is outstanding and they are very thorough when it comes to safety. The management is well organised, supporting parents and children alike, communicating efficiently and they keep every tiny detail on the radar, making everything easier with the app! They do a lot of activities like swimming lessons, bouncy castle and tennis. They also have a great garden to enjoy the fresh air every day! I’m very happy choosing Poppits Day Nursery, which for my son is a second family! I highly recommend!
