Both our three year old and one year love their days at nursery here. The recent settling in process for our youngest was carefully managed and he has taken to nursery so well, thanks in no small part to the highly personalised care and routines that have been established. The nursery feels like an extension of home, with adults who take time to get to know you and we all feel cared for. I cannot recommend the nursery highly enough.
Lovely nursery, with very dedicated teachers and staff, lots of creative activities, big garden. Our son really likes it here, feels connected to his key persons and his friends. We like to know that he is in good hands.
My son has attended London Fields nursery since he was thirteen months old and having viewed a lot of other nurseries and actually accepting a place to start elsewhere, I came and saw London Fields on a whim after a friend mentioned the Leyf group to me and I never looked back! From the first show around, I knew that this would be the best environment for my son and also for my own piece of mind - as a parent you always worry right? So London Fields felt like a home away from home, with such wonderful 7 strand social learning ethos.
A year on, they have not disappointed! My son has gone from a baby to a thriving, confident, caring and chatty toddler. He loves all the staff at London Fields and has made some wonderful friends who he talks about endlessly. The nursery team are full of care and love for our little boy and it really does show and I am so grateful. The outdoor space is fantastic and the home-cooked healthy menu is the best I've seen! Thank you London Fields, we love you!
My child absolutely adores London Fields Nursery and Pre-School. Since starting 3 months ago he's advanced so much, in such a short space of time. Really worth every penny; I'm so glad we were able to send our son here.
All my interactions with staff have left me so impressed. The staff are proactive and caring and always well organised and coordinated. The talented management staff have promoted a caring and nurturing environment all based on the LEYF pedagogy.
I sent my son here full time aged 14 months after enduring 3 months of challenging mealtimes where he had zero interest in weaning. I didn't know what I was going to do. Then, within his first week of nursery, he started coming home with a strong appetite and eager to engage with mealtimes. I am truly grateful to London Fields Nursery for this breakthrough!
London Fields Nursery and Pre-School is a rare gem of a nursery with a wonderful community; we are so lucky!
I’m kept up to date with all her activities, learning and play and feel very listened to.
I feel like I’ve found ‘my village’ of support in the City. We couldn’t be happier.
My son has been attending London Fields nursery since he was seven months; he is now three. The staff are brilliant. They are professional and caring. The place has been recently refurbished and the rooms are spacious, clean, airy, and bright. I highly recommending this place!
Our 3 year old son has been taken care of by the wonderful staff of the London Fields Nursery (previously Market Nursery) for a little over two years now, and we couldn't be happier with his development, and with the relationships he has formed with the other kids as well as the carers.
The nursery in itself is lovely, and since its very recent refurbishment, it's even more of an amazing space for the children to strive in. Our son particularly loves the playground, and the activities organised by the staff (that we can follow with the parent app) are stimulating and fun.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a warm and cosy nursery in East London.
A fantastic settling in period considering the covid guidelines, still ensuring I felt reassured, being caring towards my child and offering brilliant play experiences. I love the garden, the building and the interaction and updates from teachers.
Market Nursery have taken great care of my children during their early years. They have gained a great foundation in their early year's education and developed key social skills. The team are a very caring and supportive group of individuals, who take a genuine and keen interest in all the children that attend.
When she speaks about Market Nursery her memories are of the friends that she made (who she is still close too now) and many trips that she attended.
As a parent, my child started her school journey as a confident, happy, positive, eager to learn little girl, which I strongly believe is due to her time spent at Market Nursery.
Now that my Son has gone to "big" school, it is my daughter's pleasure to go to Market Nursery. The most important thing for us is the Staff, and here at Market Nursery, they are absolutely fantastic, while so many Nurseries feel clinical and institutional, this is a home away from home for the children and babies alike. Both of our children have loved every day they have been at Market Nursery, they always come home happy and fulfilled.
They have taken amazing care of our son, and now our daughter. They have a really nice space, a great back garden, and just the most caring staff.
In general, children at any age feel welcome and happy and they learn and progress through play with the dedicated and friendly staff and with their peers. Their activities are very stimulating and imaginative - for instance, my daughter is now a great cook, which I wouldn't have expected from sending her to nursery!
The place is a charming old building, surrounded by a primary school, in a very quiet street. The building has three floors and a big garden/playground. The nursery is divided into three sections - one per floor, babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers - and is very mixed and inclusive, which benefits to all the children.
The nursery is a charity, and there are also plenty of opportunities for parents to get involved.
The Market Day Nursery is caring, supportive, friendly... just what you want for the first steps in your child's education. Both my children have built strong relationships with the staff and are always cheerful going to nursery and on collection. I often remember my daughter wanting to stay for longer to finish an activity when she moved into the 'bigger' children's rooms.
The other children and parents are also very warm.
I would recommend Market Day Nursery as a fantastic start for any family.
Our twin boys have been attending this nursery full time for almost 10 months. They started when they were just 6 months old and from the beginning, they were really well taken care of.
The staff is truly lovely and they very quickly created close bonds with the boys. The nursery offers a warm, friendly and stimulating environment. The boys smile every morning when they see the entrance of the nursery. We would not hesitate to recommend it!
This is a very happy place and I admire the creativity with which the staff does all sorts of arts activities and events.
The buggy shed and garden need some upgrading, but I know the nursery is looking into ways to finance some improvements.
I can highly recommend this nursery.

Hello, my name is Caroline and I am the manager of London Fields Nursery & Pre-School. I have been working in the Early Years sector since 1989. I spent several years in Europe and then in Asia, teaching Early Years education in a local government school. I find Early Years education fascinating, especially ensuring that children are empowered to be independent thinkers.
