The staff are absolutely amazing and that’s what really makes it special. My son learns, plays and gets to go on outings to the local park, library, soft play and market.
We feel very lucky that we’ve had such a great experience.
And the chef is brilliant...beats my cooking by some distance.
Both my daughters have attended Brixton Community Nursery so we've been there 2.5 years now. The team are great, the food is exceptionally good (the head chef for LEYF is based here) and the location is super convenient.
There isn't much outside space but being in the Rec the kids can use Play Zone and studio spaces. I've recommended the nursery to several friends and they are all very happy here too.
A great nursery, where my daughter is very happy and I feel she gets good quality care all day. The staff really seem to care about her. The food is interesting and they do lots of stimulating activities. Unfortunately, they don't have much outdoor space.
Our son really enjoys going to nursery and has a great time playing with the other children (and the staff!). The chef is excellent and my son is now more interested in food. Children aged 3+ get taken to the swimming pool on a Friday which is brilliant. Great location with friendly and helpful staff.
Great crèche, great staff! Our little one has been there since she was 8 months old; she is now 2 years and 5 months. She loves going to the crèche every day and the atmosphere is brilliant. Would definitively recommend it!
Couldn't ask for a better nursery! Everything from the staff who are absolutely brilliant, to the location and resources available for the children. The varied activities really give them a chance to try a bit of everything and the relationships formed with the staff and my son have been fantastic, he's always up and ready for nursery to see his favourite teachers!
The nursery is a wonderful, warm and nurturing environment for my son. He loves going to play with the animals and his friends. The staff have been amazing at settling him, and we have seen excellent development in his language and social skills since he has been there. He often comes home singing a new song- the latest was Zoom Zoom Zoom.
This nursery is great! My son has developed wonderfully and built great relationships with the staff.
He started at the age of six months and I feel he has developed greatly from the interaction with the staff and kids at the nursery. I love the fact that a number staff speak different languages and my son has the opportunity to learn these languages.
The staff are attentive to my son's needs and they keep me informed of his progress. I like the fact that the chef takes the time to get to know what the kids like and don’t like and try to offer the kids different food to expand their taste in foods.
The staff is what makes the nursery such a great place, and I could not have hoped for a better nursery.
Excellent nursery, my daughter really enjoys attending and even wakes early on Saturday mornings asking to go.
We have been delighted with our daughter's progress since attending Brixton Community Nursery. The staff are extremely attentive and committed to her welfare and development. The team also go out of their way to build a community, arranging regular family events to make us feel included. We would unreservedly recommend Brixton Community Nursery to other parents.
I would certainly recommend this nursery to anyone! It has such a happy atmosphere which is down to the lovely and very dedicated staff. They always go the extra mile to make both you and your child feel welcome. As a parent, I really appreciate the feedback I get on a daily basis. This lets me know what activities they are doing to help facilitate my child’s learning. An added bonus for me is the food that’s provided - it perfectly caters to children’s taste whilst limiting sugar and salt.
A truly fantastic Nursery!
This is a great nursery in an urban location. The staff work very hard to create varied activities for the children, often taking them out to the park, to the soft play and swimming activities in a nearby recreation centre (where it is situated). My son really enjoys it, the staff create a very caring, relaxed environment, and he is developing very well. They have there own chef preparing fresh meals on site every day, who responds to there needs and creates a great menu!
My son enjoys coming. We don’t get any of that “it’s not a nursery day today” moan that I hear from parents with children at other nurseries.
Good food is always prepared on-site. The nursery kitchen currently only has four hygiene stars but they lost one when their chef was away and I expect them to get it back at the next inspection.
Great location at the rec, and while there is only limited outside space, the children often get taken to the playzone which my son loves. He will shortly turn three and start swimming once a week.
They go on real-life outings the market and library and learn about each other's interests and diversity.
The chef is brilliant and she eats a vast range of foods and flavours (better than she does at home). I think the nursery is great.
The nursery's greatest asset is their staff, who are truly caring, attentive, joyous and work as a close-knit family. The frequent events for parents, seaside trips and outings, their emphasis on arts and crafts activities and story time are also a plus! Our daughter - and her parents - thrive on those. Food provision is another highlight as the chef is highly committed to offering the best, and cooks with love. The nursery is not big in terms of space and I am somehow let down by the lack of windows too, but I feel the staff are attentive to children's needs and take them out to explore the world often. They have been making use of local parks and facilities, including their play zone and the pool. Keep up the excellent work!
I would say the only downside is for older children (3+); I feel like there isn't enough indoor space for them to run/exercise their motor skills and the garden (small terrace) is also tiny.
The walls are covered with pictures from recent trips and activities and the outside space is amazing! Huge for an Inner London nursery.
We are very happy there.
Our son has been at Little Angels since he was one and we all love it. The staff and facilities are fantastic, with an amazing outdoor space. Our son is now there and is very social and confident and loves learning his letters and he has just got a sticker for doing well in his phonics. He has lots of lovely friends and is very happy at Little Angels.
All of the staff in my grandchild's area are kind, considerate and caring. I have been very impressed.
I have had an outstanding experience with Little Angels Nursery School. From the day I took my daughter in to settle down until now has been great. I can't fault the nursery at all. The facilities are lovely as is the staff. Its a great place for my daughter to attend every day.
