Our daughter just adores nursery and we can’t say enough good things about it.
All the staff are attentive and professional and look after the children’s needs with care and attention, going out of their way to make them feel happy and content.

We will be very sad to say goodbye in a few weeks when she starts school but we are safe in the knowledge she is prepared and ready for the new experience.

The Little People of Willow Vale nursery is so friendly and welcoming. My son is now 3 years old and has been attending for the last 18 months. He has benefitted so much from his sessions at the nursery in terms of his language development, social skills and learning good routines. All the ladies who look after the children are so caring and nurturing, they really get to know the children well and make them feel loved and supported.

My wife and I liked this nursery very much when we visited and have been consistently happy with it throughout our twin daughters' time there over the last year and a half. There is a low staff turnover, and the staff are caring, fun and interested in the children, building important relationships with them over time. There are all sorts of great activities in a relaxed, nurturing environment.

Nice homely nursery with caring staff. Both my children attended and had a great time, learnt new things and made friends.

The head of the nursery is very experienced and manages the nursery really well. She welcomes feedback and has been very supportive when we needed extra help.

An excellent nursery! My daughter started at the nursery in September 2016 and she settled in well due to the love and attention that the staff provided her with. Each staff member is pleasant, professional and strives to put the children's needs first. There is good communication between the staff with parents and they do their best to ensure that each child is happy and safe.

My daughter loves coming to nursery and doesn't want to leave in the afternoons! She has progressed significantly since beginning her attendance at the nursery and it's great to hear how well she is doing each day.

All the staff is very helpful and caring. As a first-time mum I was very nervous about leaving my child in the care of strangers, but after meeting all the lovely people working there I felt really comfortable and knew that my child would be in safe hands.
Since attending Little People he has blossomed into a super confident little man.

I would like to express a special thank you to all the staff for all the wonderful care and teaching. We'll miss you seeing you every week! Thank you!

My son is very happy at Willow Vale. He was 3 months premature and we first tried a much bigger nursery, where he got lost. We found Willow Vale a totally different atmosphere. He's now been there a year. Willow Vale's great asset is it's size and relative informality. That's been just what my son needed and he has come on leaps and bounds. Because it's a relatively small building the nursery doesn't take too many or really little children, I've never worried about my son getting lost or overlooked. I get the impression all the staff know all the children and genuinely seem to care and although there's a nominated key worker, it doesn't matter too much who the children go to for cuddles etc. My son's shortly moving into the Montessori room and I'm pretty confident he'll continue to flourish there.

I am very happy with Little People. My little boy has made excellent progress since starting there 6 months ago but more importantly he really enjoys being there. The activities are so varied and staff are so warm and affectionate with the children and very encouraging. My son had a speech delay and was very shy when he started, and his teachers' gentle approach has really helped him to gain confidence and come out of his shell over the months - he has now made some good friends. I've also always felt that if I had a concern the staff and manager would take time to listen and discuss my concerns in depth. Overall this is such a lovely nursery with such caring staff - I (and I'm sure my son) will miss it when we start school in September!

I think the nursery has aided my son's development greatly.
Head teacher always available to speak to.
My son really enjoyed the outdoor activities.

Would be good if they could be more choice of days for activities such as soccer/yoga/dance.

Reply from Jane Gleasure, Director at Little People of Willow Vale

We try to arrange our extra curricular activities throughout the week to offer different experiences each day. These include, Ballet, French, Yoga, and Football. We have recently received a Bronze award for Healthy Eating as part of the Healthy Early Years Partnership initiative at the nursery, and are now working towards the Silver award.

Anisah Bahar Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2022
Anisah Bahar

Anisah started working in childcare at the age of 18 and quickly found the greatest joy in being silly with the children and sharing cuddles. She started out as an assistant and worked her way up through learning and practice, and joined our nursery in Shepherds Bush as manager in September 2022. Her experience as SENCo and accreditation in the ‘curiosity approach’ influence her practice to date. Anisah is passionate about the use of natural resources in learning and is keen on the inclusion of Forest school in the curriculum, giving the children the opportunity to extend their classroom learning outdoors in the beautiful nursery garden, under the open sky.

Anisah enjoys being a role model to the staff who share her deep love of the children. “I’m also an illustrator, and I hope to one day write and illustrate a book for children.”
