Kids & Co Day Nursery was established in 1990 and is a privately-run day nursery in the Blackheath area of London.

The nursery provides care for children aged nine months to five-years-old and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

Their vision is simple, every child is unique and their individual talents are nurtured. They actively encourage “learning through play” by providing a wide range of experiences to support each child’s education and Early Years development.

Staff work in partnership with parents to ensure they are informed of their child's progress and are supported to manage the transition between home and nursery for all new children, assisting with each child's development.

Both of my children attended Kids & Co Day Nursery nursery over the last 8 years and I wouldn’t wish for a better place! We chose it for the outdoor space but very quickly discovered what a great nursery it is. Engaging indoor and outdoor activities, football and dance classes, small playground and
forest school, own chef - they have it all! The nursery has very strong leadership and all staff are very experienced, kind and fun!
They have very quickly adapted to the pandemic situation and have provided a lot of support for children and families during lockdowns.
My children will miss this wonderful nursery and I wish Kids & Co all the success in the future!

Kids and Co have become a second home for our child and it's with a bit of sadness that we now have to move on to primary school. Frankly, everything was great during those years, from the caterpillar to the tractor and the rocket room. Every stage came with great care from the teams and team leaders,
we felt the dedicated attention and also help for the parents was there. The odd incident was diligently taken care of, activities were varied and management was helpful and professional, also during the challenging times of covid. I put good only for space and for equipment simply because it is the only aspect I saw as limiting the staff and the nursery, but we felt all was adequately provided and well organized. All the staff were fantastic in caring for our child. Overall the staff is what makes the biggest difference for this outstanding nursery! Definitely recommended if you can get a place!

Our son attended Kids & Co for 2 years and flourished in this time. He loved it and always looked forward to his next day there. We always felt like he was in a very safe and loving environment. He developed tremendously and we were very sad when it was time to leave.

Our three-year-old daughter had a great time at the nursery. Very clean, organized and lovely environment. Lots of activities and a really great outdoor space. Our girl learned a lot and loved her time there.

Both of our children attended Kids & Co and spent several very happy years at the nursery.
During that time we found the care and education provided by Kids & Co excellent. Our children were able to both learn and play in ways that really benefitted their development. The staff really made a huge
effort to engage them in subjects they were interested in (such as space or numeracy) and encourage them to expand their knowledge.
The atmosphere at the nursery was great. Everyone was very friendly yet children were encouraged to be responsible and behave considerately towards other children.
The physical environment was very good and the outdoor space was something which very much attracted us to the nursery. The forest school was a nice bonus feature.
Communication and administration was also extremely efficient so, as parents, we never had issues with invoicing or not having the information we needed.
We would have no hesitation recommending the nursery to others.

My two children have been to Kids and Co from 2 years, through to the start of school. We have been so pleased with the nursery and the staff there. They have loved and cared for our children, providing them with a stimulating and friendly environment for their early years of education. Many of the
staff have been at the nursery for a number of years so there is a stable environment for the children to go to every day. We have recommended the nursery to many friends already, we sincerely hope they continue to be successful long into the future.

Both my kids attended Kids and Co Nursery in Blackheath. The overall standard is good and my kids have been very happy there. They were both well looked after by the staff with many opportunities to learn and grow. The only two areas I think that can be improved on are food and management. Meals could
be more balanced and healthy. Management communication could be friendlier and more empathic to parents.

My daughter started Kids & Co 6 years ago and my son has just finished after 3 wonderful years. They have had the most incredible start to their education and have thrived in the loving supportive environment that the nursery engenders.


The staff are extremely dedicated to the care and stimulation

of the children. The building, classrooms and garden are beautifully maintained and also used in innovative ways to aid their learning. It really has been a home from home.


Both my children have left nursery confident, sociable and ready to start school. I wholeheartedly recommend Kids & Co as an outstanding nursery.

My daughter enjoyed going to the nursery and really improved in her social skills. Staff are very experienced and reliable. I never had any concerns. My daughter has had an amazing one and a half years at Kids & Co. Learning through play, outdoor visits and the extracurricular activities i.e. football and Diddy dance. The activities arranged for the kids to be engaged on a daily basis were very innovative and good fun. I specifically like the Tapestry
online journal to track your child's daily activities and progress based on Early years foundation stage. Also, the hot meals prepared at nursery making sure kids get all the relevant nutrients. We have had a great experience at Kids & Co and sad to leave.

My son has just left Kids & Co after nearly four very happy years. He joined in the baby room and will be starting school in September. As with my daughter before him, we feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a wonderful setting for him. The staff work really hard to ensure the children receive
excellent care; they are nurtured and challenged in equal measure. All within a beautiful, friendly family atmosphere.
The nursery has excellent values and the staff put a great deal of effort into providing the children with a wide variety of interesting activities and fantastic day trips. My son has left with a bunch of really close friends.
The management and administration team are efficient, helpful and transparent at every stage.
Overall, we can’t recommend Kids & Co enough. It is a special place with a wonderful team and we will definitely be popping in to keep in touch!

Both my daughters attended the nursery. My eldest started at 12 months and finished at 4.5 years. For me, the nursery’s strengths were their staff and homely setting. Most staff have been in childcare and with the nursery for a long time. They are extremely kind, patient and attentive carers. The younger
staff are just as wonderful, cheery and attentive. The outdoor space has been very thoughtfully designed. It facilitates a mud kitchen, forest school, jungle gym and enough space for rotating exercise classes such as football. My children spent some very happy and secure years at the nursery and I am very grateful!

Our daughter has spent the last two years at this wonderful nursery. She started at just one year in the then fairly new baby room and has just moved on into nursery school. We highly recommend Kids & Co and as parents could not have wished for a better arrangement for our daughter. What makes this
nursery so special is its wonderful staff and outdoor space. It’s a small and very personally-run place where everyone knows everyone. Staff turnover is very low, which speaks for itself in my view, and they all build special relationships with the kids. Parents are also well connected. The nursery benefits from a lovely outdoor garden which is very regularly used, including a forest school and mud kitchen. Another plus is the food which is prepared on-site every day. Kids & Co has set a very high bar for all of our daughter’s future education providers!

Our daughter attended Kids & Co, 7 years ago, and loved it - so we were very pleased when we got our son a place too. We've just moved out of the area, and moving away from Kids and Co may well be one of our greatest regrets about leaving. The staff go out of their way to treat each child individually,
helping them to learn and progress their skills at just the right pace for each child. Our kids built relationships with several members of staff and I think it speaks volumes that when my daughter was dropping off my son with me, years after she left, there were still members of staff who remembered her. I can't recommend Kids & Co highly enough.

Kids & Co is a fantastic nursery where our daughter thrived. The staff are very professional and caring. It is clean and the children are very well looked after. It is a lovely nursery, I could not recommend this nursery more. We feel part of a very special community as the nursery is not massive and you get to know everyone. The little ones feel that this is their second home. My son started there when he was 2 and is now 3.5 and he loves it. Top 3 characteristics
in my view:
- The staff they are all highly qualified and they stay. They know every child and they treat them individually valuing their particular interests and likes.
- Facilities, fantastic outdoor area with forest school, mud kitchen area for messy play etc. During the summer the little ones spend a lot of their time playing outside with water etc... which is lovely.
- The family feel of the nursery is something that it is rare to find. everyone is friendly and welcoming. They also organise events for parents so we get to know each other.

We have seen our children develop into confident, happy little girls under the care and guidance of the staff at Kids & Co which is exemplary in every respect.


Kids & Co offers structured EYFS-focused learning, monitored through good quality regular reporting and ad hoc observations via the Tapestry

online journal. There is a strong emphasis on having fun.


The excellent staff are experienced, knowledgeable, sensitive to issues at home, caring and fun.


Facilities are great and staff make use of the local environment for trips out, including to Greenwich Park. Forest school, dance sessions, and football training are firm favourites.


The involvement of parents is encouraged strongly, including through Tapestry observations (which provide focus for discussion and activity) and dedicated mum/dad mornings (enabling working parents to experience the monkeys in their natural habitat).


Our children always look forward to going to Kids & Co, which is without doubt an excellent nursery.
