Montessori by Busy Bees Green Gables Shadwell

My 19 months son goes to Green Gables Busy Bees. For him it's a home away from home and we sense that with the smile and hug he gives his carer every morning and the run he makes for his breakfast. There are plenty of activities daily with good outdoor time in spring / summer. The food is well balanced and the carers are extremely loving. Could not recommend this day care enough so that one can go to work and stay assured your little one is well looked after. At the same time you know what your little one is doing through the day with timely updates via a well managed app.

My son has built a great relationship with the staff and the nursery Practitioners give their best to the children, providing different range of activities and teaching them the montessori theory and making him independent. The outdoor space is beautiful and amazing and my son really enjoys playing, it feels like a park playground, but a safe and secure place to play with his friends.

Shadwell Busy Bees is brilliant. The are always so supportive of my child and their needs. They are always incredibly friendly every morning and the app is brilliant to see what you child has been up to. They have an amazing garden away from the road which is an oasis for the children. The chef has been there for years and does a brilliant job!

We're very happy with our daughter's nursery. The staff are kind, caring and attentive, and she clearly feels comfortable there. There is a great range of activities, and we especially appreciate the huge garden and the amount of time the children spend outdoors. It's a lovely environment for children to learn and grow. Also really appreciate the daily updates from the team, including photos of our little one.

I've had really positive experience with this Montessori nursery. The environment is calm, well-organised, and thoughtfully set up to encourage independence and curiosity in the children. The staff are warm, attentive, and clearly well-trained in the Montessori approach, taking time to understand each child's individual needs and pace of learning.

I've especially appreciated how they focus on practical life skills alongside early academics, which has really helped build confidence and self-discipline. Communication with parents has been consistent and reassuring, with regular updates on progress and activities.

The garden is easily the best in the area! It's rare to find such a massive outdoor space, and the kids just love being outside. The nursery has always been good, but their new app is even better! It's so helpful to see exactly what my son is doing throughout the day-what he's eaten, when he's been in the garden, and his sleep times. Being kept so well-informed really helps you feel at ease knowing your child is happy and ok. I can't recommend them enough.

The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and always make our child feel safe and loved. It's wonderful to see how much confidence and joy our little one has gained every day.

The environment is clean, engaging, and full of fun learning activities. We really appreciate the regular updates and communication from the team-it gives us great peace of mind.

I'm so happy we found Busy Bees Shadwell Green Gables. The staff are brilliant, very caring, kind and good at communicating. We also really like how various and healthy the food is, and that the kids spend time in the lovely big garden most days. Our child loves it there and we really feel she is being looked after by people that care about her.

The whole team at the Green Gables nursery has been great from start to finish. They're friendly, helpful and take great care of our daughter, who absolutely loves going there! They share a daily debrief of what she got up to during the day along with a few photos which is really nice.

Our daughter started nursery at Busy Bees GG shadwell in February and we have been very happy so far. She adapted quickly to the environment and she is really happy when we drop her off and she sees her carers. The baby room is clean and well organised. The food menu seems healthy and balanced (and she eats it all which is a good sign). They also keep you updated regularly on their improvement and daily activity. So far we are very happy with our choice. Would recommend

We are so happy with Busy Bees Shadwell and our 16 month old toddler absolutely loves it. The nursery staff and management were amazing during the tough settling in period for our daughter, they were so supportive, very caring, kind, helpful and experienced in knowing what would help, and communicating. They manage to get our breastfeeding co sleeping baby to nap independently. Our toddler loves going there, they do loads of fun and educational activities, and we love the app with the daily photos and updates. The food is yummy and caters for veggie babies, there is a lovely outside play area with lots of space, the staff is experienced and they get to interact with staff from other rooms and bring together children of other ages sometimes. We have really appreciated flexibility for accommodating to our baby's needs - eg. On naps, elimination communication, drop offs, etc. They do special activities for certain dates which is fun (eg dressing as their favourite book character).

He just loves it there with the great food and doing tons of activities.

Our baby is incredibly happy at this nursery. All the staff members know her by name and she has a big smile each time she comes in and sees familiar adults. The children spend lots of time outdoors and the environment is very safe for them to explore their surroundings autonomously. I like the fact that different age groups sometimes mix, which allows our little ones to observe older kids. The staff are all very attentive to the children's needs and I feel there is great back-and-forth communication with the parents. What I particularly enjoy is the nursery's app through which I know what our daughter has eaten, and how much she slept and at the end of the day we get a written report of what she has done during the day with some photos, which always brings a big smile on my face, as I get a glimpse of her day without having been there!

Our little one started in the baby room and is now really enjoying the toddler room. She loves her key worker, rushing in every morning to give her a cuddle. She's always happy to go to nursery and talks about all her friends at home. The activities are varied, with lots of themed days. The garden is amazing. We can see from the app that she eats and sleeps well at nursery. She comes home remarkably clean given all the messy play. We feel she is very well cared for and feels safe at nursery. Pick up and drop off are flexible which is very helpful. It makes our lives a lot easier knowing how happy she is to be at nursery.

The nursery has a great garden in which the kids spend most of their days (a massive bonus for central London). They celebrate a diverse range of religious and non-religious events throughout the year learning about different cultures and topics. My daughter particularly enjoys the regular Spanish classes on Thursdays. She has made lots of great friends here and I highly recommend it to others.

Highly recommend this nursery, my child has been attending since October 2023. This nursery offers longer session times than other nurseries we were looking at for the funded 2-year-old places. And supply nappies/breakfast/lunch/snacks which other nurseries do not provide. The app that is available is very useful as the staff update me on my child throughout his time with them. I feel my child has grown in confidence due to attending this nursery and the activities offered to him are very varied and well thought out.

My twin boys have been attending Green Gables Shadwell since January 2023, when they were only six months old. The baby room staff have been very welcoming and have attended to both boys' needs. My twins come home happy and are always learning something new. We get daily photos of what they have been up to at nursery, and I can see that the nursery food must be tasty as they always eat all! We are so lucky to have this nursery right on our doorstep, especially with such a large garden (which is difficult to find in central London). We look forward to the new things they will learn as they are moving to the toddler room in September.

Montessori by Busy Bees Green Gables has been fantastic for our little one, she took a little while to adjust but the staff were fantastic and she now goes in and shouts 'bye mummy!' as she runs into the class. We always get prompt response when we have a question. It is always clean and they have been great with potty training. They also have a big garden where the kids spend a lot of time outside which is great.

We also enjoy the flexibility of the staff, which really suits our needs.
