LEYF - Carlton Hill Nursery & Pre-School

Our son absolutely loved his time at Carlton Hill - as a very active boy, he benefitted immensely from the access to the garden (they spend most of the day outside in the summer months), bikes, and learned a lot more than he would have at home about plants and gardening! The staff are patient and attentive. The nursery also invited parents every few months to come in for a themed event which allowed us the opportunity to see the children interact with their friends. They excel at small personal touches - for example, when I gave birth to our second child, they sent my son home with some art and a lovely little card to welcome the baby home. We all teared up, it was so sweet. Even though our son has gone on to school, we continue to see some of the great friends he made there for play dates on the weekends. We loved the nursery so much that our baby will be starting there soon! Highly recommend.

We have 3 children and all of them have been, or still are, at Carlton Hill Nursery. Our kids have always loved being there because of - among others - the caring staff, the great facilities, the lovely garden and the yummy food. The staff are very professional and we trust them 100% with our children. Every day new activities are set up for when the children arrive, which gives them every time an opportunity to explore new things together with their little friends. The management team and key workers for our kids have always been like family.

We couldn’t be more happier with Carlton Hill Nursery to be honest. They’ve put us at ease from day one. They take such good care of our daughter and she loves it there. The ladies are amazing and the nursery manager is simply great when it comes to being on top of things! She keeps everyone in check and knows every baby/child by name and she is always hands-on.

Carlton Hill has been a wonderful nursery for us. Our son joined when he was a baby and through the guidance, love and support of his teachers gained the confidence to develop a strong and loving personality. The place is beautiful, the garden amazing but most of all it was the people who made the difference; the unique, caring, professional and personable personnel who were there for him and us throughout all stages. We love the nursery and would love to return at some point.

Two of our children went to Carlton Hill and both went on to excellent schools. The outdoor space is second to none and the staff is caring. The management is excellent and we have noticed continuous improvements to the nursery and the program they implement over the seven years our children were there. The nursery could do with a refurbishment, but everything is kept clean. We feel that the comprehensive program really contributed to our children’s development.

We have absolutely loved our experience at LEYF Carlton Hill Nursery & Pre-School. It has been a caring, supportive and stimulating environment for our child. We appreciate the variety of activities: reading of books in literacy, planting in science, messy play, water and sand trays. My son especially loved the big garden at the back of the big building with lots of bicycles, tricycles and scooters. I was pleased he did not have to walk anywhere to enjoy outdoor play. The food is also well balanced and nutritious. The teachers are all excellent and have an in-depth knowledge of children in the early years. It was always so nice to enter the school where all the teachers greeted my child by his name. My child developed in leaps and bounds - a child who came in with separation anxiety to leaving feeling happy and confident and well prepared to move on to a new school. Words and reviews cannot say enough about this nursery. If you're lucky enough to get a spot you won't be disappointed!

My son had an amazing experience at Carlton Hill Nursery & Pre-School. Staff are friendly, caring and professional; varied and interesting activities; healthy menu and incredible garden for this area of London. Unfortunately, he only spent seven months at Carlton Hill due to us relocating to a different city. It is hard to find a nursery like this. Highly recommended!

Carlton Hill Nursery also provided regular feedback and information: photos and descriptions of activities on an app and a detailed one-to-one meeting with the main teacher every year. We were amazed at everything our daughter learnt there!

Our son was at Carlton Hill Nursery & Pre-School for 3 years, starting at 9 months. The team at Carlton Hill, in all the different rooms, have been caring and kind and have made our son into the happy and confident boy he is today. Throughout his time at nursery, he loved the garden where they did playing, gardening and even marshmallow toasting. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

A very warm and welcoming atmosphere for our little one. The setting itself is in a beautiful building, and a big garden and lots of space outdoors. The staff there works with passion, and there is not a big turn over like some other places, and there is a continuity with key person for the child. I could see a good range of resources and activities. Lovely staff, lovely place.

My daughter is extremely happy going to Carlton Hill nursery every day. She is engaged in multiple activities with the teachers and other children. The environment is super clean and the outdoor space is brilliant for children this age. The care she receives from the staff is excellent and she is flourishing in that environment.

Carlton Hill Nursery is a fabulous little nursery in St John’s Wood area. The staff and teachers are extremely kind, nurturing and receptive to your children’s needs. Our son attended when he turned 1 year old, and the transition was seamless. It soon got to a stage where he was excited to go every morning and sad to leave at the end of the day. They also offer healthy meals, which is really convenient, and have a really nice outdoor space for the kids to play around so they don’t have to leave the nursery. Overall we were very happy with the development we saw in our son, and most importantly, he appeared to be happy every day and well-nourished and taken care of. Special mentions to his key worker, and the head of the nursery for always keeping an eye out for him. Overall we would highly recommend this nursery to anyone living in the area. We, unfortunately, had to move our son after a while due to practical reasons and were quite sad about it. We wish the team all the very best!

The nursery is located in a close distance to our home, which makes pick-ups and drop-offs very convenient. The outdoor space is a massive plus, given the fact that no other nursery really can provide that.

Would happily recommend joining this nursery.
