Our daughter joined the nursery when she was One & half year old and the nursery has made such a positive impact on her, and it's wonderful to see how well she's adapted and thrived there! It's amazing how much young children can learn and grow in such an environment, especially when they have supportive,
caring teachers. It must feel great to see her improving in communication and bringing what she's learned into daily life. MMI really is a special place for her!

I couldn't be happier with our experience at MMI Croydon! The staff in the baby room are absolutely wonderful, so caring, attentive, and genuinely loving towards the little ones. It's clear they enjoy what they do, and it makes me feel at ease knowing my baby is in such good hands.
The management of
the nursery is fantastic, always approachable and supportive, and they've created such a warm and welcoming environment. I also love getting the daily updates, its' so lovely to see what she's been up to.
A big thank you to everyone for making it such a happy place for our little one!

Our daughter started in the baby room and is now in the toddler room. Our youngest will be starting in the baby room in September. We are extremely happy with the nursery. Our daughter really settled quickly, now she runs in. She has learnt so much and is always bringing home things she has made in
the daily activities. There's good communication between teachers and parents and lots of events to attend so you feel a part of the nursery community. All the teachers and staff are lovely and you can see they really care about the children. The facilities are great, the space and the rooms are bright and welcoming. We are very happy and have recommended it to others.

My two children, ages 3 and 1, attend this nursery 5 days a week. My oldest has been attending little over 2 years at this nursery. It is a wonderful nursery that I often highly recommend to parents. The staff are amazing, really look after the children and care for them greatly to make them feel safe
and at home. It's more than a place for children to spend time in, there is an ethos of learning through play and children grow and develop wonderfully through this continuous work that the staff do with them. Everything from learning to eat with cutlery, to reading and loving books, using various tools, and putting on their own coats and shoes, to name a few things. Both my children love going and always talk about their peers and staff with affection. The staff use an external catering company that is great and serves fresh food, menu always looks very good. Facilities are great, outdoor space good, given 4 stars due to lack of nature access, there are great toys but no grass, trees.

They make an effort to understand the kids holistically and share tips on how to help overcome challenges outside of nursery too. We decided to send our daughter to MMI on the strength of the testimonies of several friends who send their children there and our impression after meeting the nursery manager, seeing the facilities and learning about the MMI approach.
We are so pleased with our decision and can see that our daughter
is thriving in this environment, is well cared for and enjoys herself. The staff are friendly and accessible, communication is excellent and we feel involved as parents.
We are very happy with the Montessori ethos and the nursery itself so would definitely recommend it to any parents looking to send their child there.

I'm happy with this nursery because I've seen a big change in my daughter. She developed even more her talking specifically English language. She's become more independent and wants to do everything herself. And I'm very happy because she's a very happy and bright kid and I think most of these changes
are due to the nursery.

I highly recommend MMI Nursery.
My son joined at 2 and stayed until he started school. He can be anxious in new settings but MMI was like a 2nd home for him and he couldn't wait to go in. The Montessori setting meant he could explore what interested him and he developed interests and passions that
have stayed with him. He also formed very strong friendships that have lasted years after leaving. My daughter started at 9 months and will stay until school. At the gates, I barely get a goodbye as she runs in to see her friends and she comes home each day with stories of the games she's played and conversations she's had. She can be quite stubborn but all the staff have gone out of their way to try to accommodate her, especially her fussy eating! She had a severe dairy allergy when she started and the team were extremely cooperative in making sure her needs were met to avoid or manage flare-ups.
I'm very thankful to the manager and her wonderful team for all they do to create such a warm and fostering environment.

My daughter has been at MMI for one year now and I genuinely don't think you can find anything better than MMI (having also come from another nursery). From the manager to every single member of staff, the facilities, the support and communication, everything is fantastic. They really know how to keep
the focus on the children and don't get lost in frivolous stuff, they keep communication short, confident, informative and they lead the way. I am so grateful for the comfort of knowing how well my child is looked after and how much she enjoys nursery. Settling in was easy and over a year she has flourished enormously; even joining the preschool class more recently has been such an easy transition. Also, parents can get involved in plenty of activities and I love that! I can't recommend MMI enough!

Our daughter started in MMI in March 2023 when she was 15 months old. In the last five months, she’s grown much more confident and comfortable with the nursery. She is excited to go and comes home happily, often surprising us with the things she learned there, including speaking phrases.
The teachers
and managers are friendly, and they are efficient and effective in their communication. We are kept updated on her daily activities, injuries and development through their app.
Overall, I would recommend this nursery and feel very relieved to have found a great nursery that provides a safe and secure environment for my daughter while we are at work.

We love MMI. Our eldest has been there for almost four years and will leave for school soon, and our youngest for a year. Our kids always enjoy going and have made some good friends. MMI teaches independence, respect and enjoyment - we really like the wider MMI philosophy. The nursery communicates well
with us; they have nice events, run lots of great activities with the kids, and generally, all really nice, caring, professional people. We always recommend it to other parents looking at nurseries.

We joined MMI about a year ago after about two years in another nursery where the attention and communication had gone downhill. A year on, we are still delighted with MMI. The staff, including the manager, genuinely cares about the children; they adapt to their needs, and they partner with us, the
parents. There's very little staff turnover, which suggests the employees are happy there. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

My twins have been at MMI since they were 11 months old. Aged 18 months, one of my children was diagnosed with leukaemia.
MMI was instrumental during that period in supporting our other child’s needs whilst being incredible in terms of our needs. They have been nothing less than wonderful at welcoming
my son back one year later post-treatment whilst working in a strategic way to help him catch up from so much time off without overwhelming him. We were due to move away, but we opted to stay local just so our children could stay at MMI. I’m a very particular mum, and I would say I’m not easy to please; however, I recommend MMI to all my friends and people we meet. Incredible nursery. Thank you, team, for everything.

I love this nursery. We have to travel from the other side of Croydon to get here, but it’s worth it. My son absolutely loves it here. He’s been coming for a year now, and we have seen how much he has developed in that year - a large part of that is down to the staff at this nursery.

In my opinion, MMI is a fantastic nursery and preschool. My child has flourished in their care and they have introduced many amazing things. It's managed well, always feel comfortable bringing up issues or suggestions and all the staff and children are extremely polite and kind.

This is our very first experience with a nursery and we are very pleased with the result we can see in our daughter. Aleksandra

Aleksandra Garaloska

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2019

I started my journey at MMI in 2010 as a placement student. Over time, I worked my way up to become the Room Leader in the Preschool Room. After gaining experience in other settings, I returned to MMI in September 2019 as the Nursery Manager, and I’ve been proud to lead the team ever since.


I’m a Montessori-trained teacher, holding a Level 4 qualification in Montessori Philosophy, as well as a Froebel diploma from Roehampton University. I also hold a SENCO diploma from Best Practice and a Level 5 NPQ in Early Years Leadership from Ambition Institute. Currently, I’m continuing my professional development by studying for a Top-Up Degree in Teaching and Learning at Kingston University.


Since returning to MMI, I’m proud to say we’ve become a recognised leader in early years education in our community. We've participated in research projects on spirituality in early childhood in collaboration with Roehampton University and have been invited to speak at conferences to share our practice. We also work closely with the Croydon Early Years team, including delivering a talk on how we work with babies.


In May 2024, we were awarded a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted, a reflection of the team’s dedication and passion. We are also proud to be Early Years SENCO certified and recognised as a NASEN Early Years SEND Reviewer.

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner Level 3 Joined: 2019

I joined the MMI team in 2019 as an unqualified practitioner, and from the very beginning, I received incredible support from the team around me. With their encouragement and guidance, I trained and qualified as an EYE Level 3 Early Years Educator and Montessori Practitioner.


Learning about the Montessori philosophy has been a truly transformative journey for me. It has shaped not only my teaching style but also the way I view children, learning, and development. I’ve gained valuable knowledge and grown both professionally and personally. Over time, I’ve built my confidence and developed into a reflective, thoughtful educator.

Job Title: Montessori Practitioner Joined: 2025

I joined MMI in September 2024, and what a journey it has been so far! Before this, I spent several years teaching in a Reception class at a private school, but returning to a nursery environment has been a refreshing and rewarding experience.


I’ve truly come to appreciate the ethos and values we hold at MMI. I love the positive culture within the team and the way we consistently place children at the heart of everything we do. Being part of this environment has helped me grow professionally, and I continue to learn every day with the support and encouragement of my colleagues.


I especially love teaching in the Preschool Room, where I have the joy of preparing children not just for school, but for life. Helping them build confidence, independence, and a natural curiosity for learning is the most fulfilling part of what I do.
