This is our very first experience with a nursery and we are very pleased with the result we can see in our daughter. She has learnt a lot from the day she joined and has become confident and independent. The way the nursery takes care of her has ensured that I can focus on my work without being worried

My eldest daughter joined the baby room at MMI when she was 1 year old and stayed right up until preschool. She absolutely loved it! Every day she learnt new things, she made some fantastic friends and her confidence and ability to take on new challenges was incredible to watch. The teachers are friendly,
honest and open - my daughter formed close bonds with many of them. As a mother, I never had to worry about sending my daughter there. I also loved the fact that it's so spacious there and they do little fun trips to the shop or the park with the kids when they get a bit older. All in all, a great nursery. They do tend to be closed for more days than other nurseries though, so that is something to consider when looking around.

My daughter has been attending MMI Day Nursery Croydon since March last year. She absolutely loves coming every time, the nursery has a lovely, warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and I get a great report with pictures every time. They really care about the children's development
and ensure the parents are involved too. The admin team are extremely supportive. I would definitely recommend MMI to anyone.

I do not regret choosing MMI for our child to attend nursery and pre-school. The staff are very friendly and warm. They are always communicating with us as parents, and it is always a comfort to see how much they care about the children's well-being, safety, education and social interactions.
I also
like that they allow opportunities for parents to get involved whether it's just to read a storybook to the children or to play with the children.
Our child always comes home learning something new, if not a few things. Their facilities are clean and well fit for purpose for the children to use, as well as ample choices of activities. Their Montessori approach is also very well suited to the philosophy we use in raising our child, to be confident, independent and kind. I would definitely recommend MMI.

What a great team, making the perfect place for my child's education!
Fantastic staff, great use of space, and excellent support offered.
The staff clearly have an absolute passion for what they do.
I love that the staff try in every way to involve parents/carers in the style of teaching, the daily
experiences, and the curriculum.
So often my son comes home with new speech and learnings, that I didn't expect possible yet.
He has grown into a confident, independent and clever little human since joining MMI a year ago.

Amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset. It's wonderful seeing our son get excited about going to daycare here. The teachers really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way. The management has been very flexible and could accommodate our various different
requests.
Since joining the nursery, 3 and a half years ago, our son has grown into an independent little boy. Overall, we are very happy with our choice.

We started our son as a 3-year-old during the pandemic and so we had to place a lot of trust in the team at MMI. They did not let us down at all.
He built great relationships with all his key people and we really appreciated the time and dedication as it came through with his development. All his
teachers did a fantastic job looking after him. We put in a lot of time teaching him before he started nursery and MMI responded by matching his pace to keep him engaged and enjoy learning. He always ran straight into nursery and walked out with a smile on his face.
Thank you so much MMI for everything, his time with you has fully prepared him to do his best at big school and we will miss you all.

Both my children attended the preschool room and they both loved it. I absolutely loved the building, there was so much room and it was full of light. Cost wise for a purpose-built nursery it's very competitive (I thought it would have been more expensive being Montessori).
I really liked the assistant
manager, she always gave me great advice if I was ever struggling with how to help my child develop in a particular area, or if I didn't know how best to deal with my child's behaviour, she would always give me thoughtful, insightful advice.

MMI Croydon is so much more than childcare. My son and daughter have both learnt and developed a great deal during their time there, and it is clear that the staff genuinely care about the children. They love being dropped off in the morning, which has made the transition of going back to work after
maternity leave so much easier. My son is now ready for school in September after being fully prepared academically and socially by the amazing staff at MMI.

MMI is an excellent nursery. The children receive an enormous amount of personal attention and heartfelt caring. The daily activities are numerous, varied and fascinating. The children learn so much about science, health, maths, nature and the world around them. They also spend plenty of time playing,
creating art and doing sports. Every day is well planned out and the systems are very deliberately put in place to assist the children with their development.
The teachers and manager are very intelligent, diligent and communicate well with the parents.
I feel extremely lucky that my daughter was able to attend MMI.

My daughter joined the baby room at MMI Croydon in 2019, from a non-montesorri setting. It’s safe to say MMI have done a fabulous job at seeing my daughter through to the end of her time in preschool. My daughter has thrived over the last three years. She has a well-developed language, numeracy and
phonics skills all thanks to the setting for their hard work and learning through play/child-led stance. My daughter’s emotional intelligence has also grown over the last few years and that is owing to the safe space staff at MMI create for all children in their care to thrive and be their best. I can’t say enough to applaud this setting, family and friends constantly compliment my daughter’s strong development and I must say all the credit (most!) goes to the fantastic setting that MMI is. I know my daughter will miss it when she moves on at the end of next month.

MMI is an outstanding nursery where carers and management go the extra mile in order to support the children development and their parents. The staff really care for the children and provide the best, holistic care and education. The nursery is very well resourced and is very clean and organised! There
is also excellent communication between staff and parents and I always felt informed about both my sons' progress and learning goals etc. I have visited many, many nurseries in Croydon and this by far is the best one! Cannot praise the nursery enough and would recommend. Our boys just started their new nursery and miss their teachers back at MMI so much - big thanks to the manager and all team for all their hard work. We miss you all.

My daughter has been attending MMI since she was 1 and she is now 4, soon about to leave and start reception. The nursery itself is very spacious, with a lovely outdoor area, which gives all children space to move around more freely. Most of the staff have been with my daughter since she started and
they really are an asset to the nursery. She has a couple favourites that she will always come home and talk about. They do teach the Montessori method of teaching, which I wasn’t very familiar with before, as my mum has been a manager at a nursery for over 30 years and has also worked with Ofsted, so I had/have a slightly different way of thinking when it came to teaching methods, but as soon as she started I could see the difference in her and all of the new things she was learning, they really do encourage independence. Overall, a lovely nursery, I would definitely go back and the staff working with the children are amazing.

After a wonderful experience with MMI Croydon and our first child, we decided again to send our 4 year old this year. As before the experience was fantastic. We saw a growth in confidence in our child and his day to day skills improved. MMI offer good support and report on a regular basis, highlighting
any issues and working to resolve them quickly.


I felt a genuine passion for their work from the staff and they foster a caring and safe environment for the children. Our little boys teacher was outstanding and full of love and care for the children. We could see how close our child had become to her.


The food is very good, interesting and healthy. There are a large variety of tasks set for the children and plenty of space indoors and outdoors.


I would highly recommend MMI Croydon and cannot praise them enough for looking after our little boy these last few months. It is wonderful to see him flourish, especially after so many months in lockdown.

Aleksandra

Aleksandra Garaloska

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2019

I started my journey at MMI in 2010 as a placement student. Over time, I worked my way up to become the Room Leader in the Preschool Room. After gaining experience in other settings, I returned to MMI in September 2019 as the Nursery Manager, and I’ve been proud to lead the team ever since.


I’m a Montessori-trained teacher, holding a Level 4 qualification in Montessori Philosophy, as well as a Froebel diploma from Roehampton University. I also hold a SENCO diploma from Best Practice and a Level 5 NPQ in Early Years Leadership from Ambition Institute. Currently, I’m continuing my professional development by studying for a Top-Up Degree in Teaching and Learning at Kingston University.


Since returning to MMI, I’m proud to say we’ve become a recognised leader in early years education in our community. We've participated in research projects on spirituality in early childhood in collaboration with Roehampton University and have been invited to speak at conferences to share our practice. We also work closely with the Croydon Early Years team, including delivering a talk on how we work with babies.


In May 2024, we were awarded a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted, a reflection of the team’s dedication and passion. We are also proud to be Early Years SENCO certified and recognised as a NASEN Early Years SEND Reviewer.

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner Level 3 Joined: 2019

I joined the MMI team in 2019 as an unqualified practitioner, and from the very beginning, I received incredible support from the team around me. With their encouragement and guidance, I trained and qualified as an EYE Level 3 Early Years Educator and Montessori Practitioner.


Learning about the Montessori philosophy has been a truly transformative journey for me. It has shaped not only my teaching style but also the way I view children, learning, and development. I’ve gained valuable knowledge and grown both professionally and personally. Over time, I’ve built my confidence and developed into a reflective, thoughtful educator.


From starting as an unqualified team member, I’m proud to now be the Third in Charge at MMI. It’s been an incredible journey of growth, and I take great pride in the progress I’ve made. Being part of the MMI family has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and I’m honoured to contribute to such a passionate and inspiring team.

Job Title: Montessori Practitioner Joined: 2025

I joined MMI in September 2024, and what a journey it has been so far! Before this, I spent several years teaching in a Reception class at a private school, but returning to a nursery environment has been a refreshing and rewarding experience.


I’ve truly come to appreciate the ethos and values we hold at MMI. I love the positive culture within the team and the way we consistently place children at the heart of everything we do. Being part of this environment has helped me grow professionally, and I continue to learn every day with the support and encouragement of my colleagues.


I especially love teaching in the Preschool Room, where I have the joy of preparing children not just for school, but for life. Helping them build confidence, independence, and a natural curiosity for learning is the most fulfilling part of what I do.
