Kindred Harlow Nursery and Pre-school

There has been such a positive change in the nursery over the past year. My son loves his teachers and friends in the preschool room and they're always doing lovely activities. If I ever need to speak to staff about anything I know I can message via the app or call the nursery which gives me peace of mind.

My Little boy has been going here since May 2025 and I am so grateful for the support and care they gave to help him and me when he settled into the nursery. They are understanding and provided lovely updates about his day and update the app promptly to update about meals and naps. The children are provided with many fun activities alongside educational resources and I have seen him flourish!

They prioritise safeguarding and the well-being of every child which makes me feel at ease that my kid is in a safe environment whilst i work. In comparison with other nurseries, i really like that they have a user friendly app to update me with daily activities related to my child such as meals, nappy changes and accidents. They also cater adjustments if needed for late pick ups. Recently they also have a book borrowing scheme which i find very resourceful and a smart way to have less books to waste!

My son has developed massively in areas that he struggles in with the support of staff, he has made beautiful bonds with the staff at Kindred and dropping him off in the mornings is peace of mind for myself knowing he is surrounded by lovely people that enjoy him as much as his own family. It is very much a home from home for us now and I couldn't be more greatful to Irene and all the lovely staff at there for all there support over the last 14 months.

When my daughter first started at the Kindred Harlow, she was very nervous and used to cry at drop-off, but the staff were so kind, friendly, and patient that they helped her settle in quickly. Over time she became so comfortable, made lots of lovely friends, and actually looked forward to going every day. The staff are always warm and engaging, and we really appreciated how they gave us updates as often as they could about her day and progress. The current manager was also very approachable, always ready to help and quick to answer any questions we had. We're really thankful for all the care and support given to my daughter, it's been such a positive experience for her and for us as parents.

My little boy has been going for just over a year now! And he's come on leap and bonds thanks to the amazing team at Harlow! best nursery I know and they are so lovely and always smiling! Friendly, caring and always there to help when needed!

My little girl, started at Kindred Nursery when she was just one year old, and now she will be starting Reception this September. It is a little sad for us because she has really loved her time at the nursery, made so many friends, and built such happy memories here. I am so grateful to the wonderful teachers, the great care, the opening and closing times that work so well, and the lovely food provided. Kindred has truly been a great nursery for my child, and we will always remember it fondly.

Our overall experience with Kinderd Nursery has been absolutely wonderful. The level of attention and genuine care shown by the team has made a huge difference in our child's development and happiness.

Since the manager took over, there has been a noticeable positive shift in the nursery. Her leadership is warm, effective and clearly focused on the well-being of both children and staff. She has brought fresh energy and structure that has truly elevated the setting.

The learning opportunities are well thought out and engaging. There's a great balance between fun and educational activities, all tailored to the children's needs and interests. We've seen our child grow in confidence thanks to the supportive learning environment.

Communication with parents is excellent. We're always kept in the loop with updates, photos and feedback.

We feel incredibly lucky to have Irene and a fantastic team behind her.

My daughter has been attending Kindred for three years now. While there have been quite a few changes during that time, I'm pleased with the direction under the new management. Issues are dealt with promptly, and although there are a lot of new staff members, they've built strong bonds with the my daughter.

A few months ago, when there was frequent staff turnover, it felt unsettling - both for me as a parent and for the children. However, things have since stabilised, and I can see a more consistent and nurturing environment returning, which is really reassuring. My daughter looks forward to heading into nursery which is a good sign!

Kindred Nursery have been amazing with my daughter. They always communicate with me about my child's day, what she eats and how she's been. Staff are so friendly.

My son has been going to Kindred since he was 1year 5 months and he s just graduated now ready for the next step to Big School. The support and love my little one received there is priceless. He will definitely miss the staff and the friends he made, and I will miss going to work without feeling anxious or worried and knowing he is well cared for.The manager has done wonders since she started and you can see her passion, how close she is to all kids and the positive impact she has on the whole team. My girl loves coming here and has a great bond with the teachers in her room. She has come on so much recently all thanks to all the learning at Kindred. Communication has changed significantly between nursery and parent since the new manager started!

Childs medication wasn't given, children running around doing as they please even if that puts the safety of the other children at risk. My children attended from 2020-2023 where the nursery was rated outstanding, following on from an incident at the nursery, it was downgraded from an outstanding to a good with 3 recommendations less than 3 years after the inspection which got them an outstanding. A lot of the long term staff have now left, leaving the nursery with mostly new faces and inexperienced staff where children and my child came into the setting not knowing who the staff were let alone a key worker assigned to each individual child. The setting doesn't even hold the standards it use to let alone the management, would avoid.

There is a lot of love in this nursery!

My experience has been very good with the nursery they have been understanding towards my child's needs and deal very well with his behavior. All the teachers are lovely to talk to and easy to get along with.

The nursery staff have really helped reduce our anxiety about having our first child in daycare. They provide a lot of detailed updates on children's progress and how their day was and their safeguarding procedures appear robust. They go to great lengths to develop fun learning activities for the children. The food offered is varied and our child enjoys it. Overall we are happy with the choice we made for our child with Kindred Harlow.

Despite this not being a large nursery and they do not have a large outdoors, but they make it all work and come up with different activities every day. I like that every Monday they have a music lady (as I call her) come in who brings in lots of musical instruments for children, they sing and dance, on Wednesdays they have football/rugby activities. There have been changes in management and the current two top ladies are amazing, very attentive, receptive to feedback, involved and approachable. My boy was in a different nursery and then we moved to Harlow, so he started at Kindred in January, staff were very accommodating as he was settling in. Overall really happy with our choice. He has plenty of opportunities to be active and creative, his language continues to develop well and they all had a trip to the local library. It feels that management and staff really care about the children and I feel confident leaving my boy there.

Absolutely outstanding, preschool team are fantastic and they helped to boost my son's confidence. I am highly impressed. Thanks to the entire team, especially one staff member in particular. They are very caring and every day during pick up and drop off, they make us feel welcomed. We and our son are happy to be at the nursery.

Wonderful nursery, my little girl attended for 3 years and my little boy has been attending for almost a year. They both love/loved coming here. Staff are amazing, attentive and really helpful. Puts my mind at rest knowing my children are really happy when coming to nursery!
