Children's Corner (Valley View)

I couldn’t be happier with this nursery. They came recommended by a friend as I was so overwhelmed making a choice about childcare. The staff seem to genuinely care about all the children. My child settled quickly due to their support. They come up with such creative activities. The food menu is excellent and my child has always eaten well. I also really appreciated that they seemed to understand the challenges of working parents.

I brought my baby here after returning to work early from maternity leave. I was so nervous, however, I didn't need to be. I was put at ease straight away and my baby settled with the baby room staff really quickly. They are so lovely and caring and the updates and photos I get daily really make my day at work so much easier, knowing how happy she is. It really is home from home.

I can't praise Valley View enough; it really is a wonderful nursery.

My son has been at this nursery for about six months now. This is his first experience of being in childcare (he is now 3) and he has settled in so well and I am very confident that he is receiving an excellent standard of care. He is deaf and wears cochlear implants. This means the staff have undergone deaf awareness training and need to be aware of his additional needs, including weekly visits from his support workers. They have risen to this challenge with such enthusiasm and have made every effort to ensure that his needs are met. My job requires me to work with a degree of flexibility and the staff are always so accommodating. If I need to add on additional time they will endeavour to make it work. My son is very happy here and I feel he is very well cared for, including making him a sandwich when he doesn't eat the lunch as he is quite fussy at the moment. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.

The staff at the nursery are fantastic, they’re excellent with the children and my son loves attending nursery. The nursery always posts about the activities the children are doing during the day. There’s an atmosphere of real love towards the children that attend the nursery and the staff turnover is minimal. Which can be stressful for children. I can’t recommend this nursery enough.

My baby started nursery in October 2021. Having a baby during the pandemic I was uneasy about leaving her when I went back to work from maternity leave. We were still able to look around the nursery before her starting, after nursery hours. Which most nurseries still weren’t allowing this. So we got a feel of the baby/toddler room. The nursery manager always welcomed with a warm smile. The deputy manager and nursery practitioners are always jolly and happy when dropping/picking up my child. Drop off is still a little emotional for my daughter but with the photos and updates I get during the day I know she is having lots of fun. They let her do her own thing really which I love, if she’s asleep through meal times they don’t wake her they let her sleep until she is ready to wake up. Nothing feels forced. I love the different varieties of meals. I love it when I collect my daughter from nursery and her clothes are dirty as I know this means she has had a fantastic day, whether it be glitter in her hair or spaghetti bolognese - I love it.

My son started at Children's Corner (Valley View) Day Nursery in January, at first he found it difficult to settle but the nursery manager suggested splitting his days which is now working really well. The app the nursery use to keep me updated whilst at work is brilliant, I enjoy seeing all the lovely photographs of the activities he is doing and I can see what he is doing in the time he is there which includes meals and naps. All the staff are really friendly and you are all doing such a wonderful job at helping with his development. He loves playing outside with the sensory items and cars. Thank you for all you do!

All of the staff and managers are great. They are always looking to improve and try to find new ways of operating. They do lots of activities with the children. The app is also a very good idea and is always great to see pictures and how our son is progressing.

The staff and managers at Children’s Corner (Valley View) Day Nursery are so helpful and have always tried to support with any requests that I have had. They are very caring, warm and friendly. My son absolutely loves going to nursery there and I feel that they genuinely want to get the best out of him. They do lots of different activities to keep him stimulated and he gets so much out of his time there. Would highly recommend!

I cannot fault the care Children's Corne (Valley View) Day Nursery provides for my daughter. It is clear the staff are passionate and genuinely care about the children. I always feel completely reassured she is getting the stimulation, play, interaction and attentiveness she requires to help her thrive and develop. The staff are amazing with her and all clearly love their job. The management is efficient and thoughtful, they always go above and beyond for the children. My daughter has been going here since she was 6-months-old and will be 3 in June and has loved every day.

I would recommend this nursery.

The teachers are amazing and the quality of care is out of this world. I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else.

A wonderful nursery where the staff are extremely attentive, friendly and bring out the best in the kids. Both my children look forward to attending which is the main thing. They come home happy and always with stories of what has been learnt. Class sizes seem perfect, food and activity variety is vast. I am extremely happy that we chose Valley View for our kids.

My son is now 4 and has been at Children’s Corner Valley View since he was 10 months old. He has always loved going to nursery here - he settled in amazingly from the start. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming. It is a big relief going to work knowing my son is happy at nursery.

They do daily updates including pictures of activities they’ve done that day, which is lovely to see and it’s a real pleasure leaving my baby here.

Since starting the nursery at the back end of July my 2-year-old's development has come on leaps and bounds, all the staff are fantastic and he really enjoys his time at nursery. I just wish I’d have known about this place when my now 4-year-old daughter started nursery many years ago can’t fault the care they give and the extra effort that is put into every child Thank you.

Amazing nursery. Feel very happy and comfortable having my two kids there and they love it. Staff are really welcoming to my kids and myself and approachable if any questions. My boys often talk about there tome there.

My daughter has recently joined Childrens Corner ages 12 months. She is a particularly clingy baby and I was very worried about the settling process. They agreed extra settling sessions and have been very sensitive with her (even if that's meant cuddling her all day). She had settled in very well and got really attached to some of the staff within the setting. Also she has some food allergies which they have coped with very well and ordered specific food alternatives in for her.
