My son has been attending the nursery since September 2025. He joined as a shy boy and couldn't communicate his needs clearly, and was showing signs of SEN. With the support of the amazing staff and SENCO he has grown into confident little boy. His speech and communication has improved, he is now joining
in the group activities, and starting to make friends. We are now being supported with potty training. I get regular development updates from his dedicated teacher.

We moved my son to Ampfield when he was almost 2, following declining standards at another setting, and I couldn't be more pleased! For starters, the setting is beautiful and the forest area is a real bonus. I love that they spend so much time outdoors.
The care staff are a cut above what I have
experienced at other nurseries. They are energetic, dedicated, positive, and appear to have real bonds with the children. My little one always talks about how funny his key person is. Their approach is caring and supportive, with appropriate boundaries and expectations. For example, they are currently working with him in preschool on following instructions such as tidying and lining up when asked.
My only gripe is that the doorbells are often not working properly. However, I would still highly recommend.

We have felt so fortunate to have both our children attend Ampfield Childcare Hub. They have been so supported in a very personalised way, with lot of care and attention for their individual needs, and with clear communication regularly. It really does feel like part of our community supporting our
kids' development. The setting is also amazing with a big forest area and lots of outdoor space. The staff are great and the kids love them so much. There are some amazing standouts (Mariona is wonderful), but overall they are fantastic with the kids. We have felt very supported and happy with our kids attending, knowing they are having lots of fun, making friends, and being supported in their development. We will be sad when our oldest leaves for school, but thankful for the support in getting her ready for that transition. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Hursley Childcare Hub enough. My daughter joined about a month ago, and she has already come on leaps and bounds in both her physical and mental development. I want to give a special mention to her key person, Iris. Even though Iris is new to the setting herself, she clearly knows
her stuff inside out. It puts my mind at ease knowing my daughter is in the best hands with her.

I would recommend this nursery. My children have been/are very happy here. It has a very homely, close knit feel, the staff are always friendly and are genuinely interested in the children and supporting their development.
I particularly like how the children of all ages mix together, it's nice for
siblings to see each other and play together, but also good to help teach big children to look out for little ones.
The space, particularly outside, is small compared to other local choices but really don't let this worry you, the children don't mind at all, they have tons of fun and it adds to the feeling of safety and home.

Brilliant nursery, great at understanding and caring for my grandson. Also excellent at communicating with us. Our grandson loves going to nursery. The staff and management are superb. The activities arranged are varied and stimulating. Great to receive online messages and pictures.

I was originally recommended the nursery by another local allergy mum when it was formally known by another name and my son went for a year as a baby. My son returned here after a gap and I cannot rate the nursery highly enough. He has been supported with as many settling sessions as needed, encouraged
to play in areas that interest him. His wide variety of allergies have been so carefully accommodated by their chef and staff and changing their food policy to keep him safe. He feels safe to go to his key person for emotional support when needed and is coming out of his shell beautifully and having so much fun, expressing this both at nursery and at home. Any concerns I have are addressed in a timely manner and staff are happy to give advice on matters if asked.

I would like to say a big thank you to Ampfield nursery for being so supportive to my little girl. A big shout out to three members of staff for welcoming our family to the setting, keeping us updated on her progress, and offering so many incredible experiences, such as playtime in their forest area,

Really lovely nursery, we moved from another setting and the difference that we saw when moving was exceptional, the staff are so caring, no matter what room your child is in all the staff from different rooms will also make such an effort towards your child! There are always so many activities that
take place, the outdoor areas are great if your child enjoys being outside! My little one always talks about the activities hes been up to, the yummy food he has and mentions a lot of his friends and staff! It was the best move for my little one and it's so lovely to see him so happy to walk into nursery!

My twin boys have attended Hursley Childcare Hub for a while now and I couldn't be happier with the level of care they have received. The staff are fantastic and create genuine bonds with the children which creates a nurtuing and stimulating environment. My kids regularly come home talking about all
the fun they've had that day and I would recommend Hursley to anyone looking for a caring, independant day nursery for their little ones.
Something that has been especially pleasing is that there always seems to be regular investment in more resources and activities for the children, so there are always new things for them to do and new toys for them to play with. A well run outfit all round :)

Our daughter has been attending Ampfield Childcare Hub since it opened and we have always been more than impressed by every aspect of the care she receives. As an EYFS teacher myself I am incredibly picky about nursery settings and I can only say positive things about Ampfield Childcare Hub.
The
setting boasts an incredible forest area and the children spend most of their mornings in nature exploring. This is very important to us as a family. We are regularly invited into nursery to take part in learning alongside our children. All members of staff are highly experienced or being trained up and encouraged to thrive.
Our daughter has allergies and we have never felt anything less than 100% confident that they can keep her safe.
Staff genuinely seem to love our daughter and enjoy feeding back about her day.
We actually live in a different town but would not consider changing our daughter's nursery for the convenience that one closer to home would provide.

Staff at the nursery are constantly delivering an engaging and fun nursery environment. They genuinely care about the development of all the children.
The nursery has an amazing outdoor forest space as well as a playground. It's quiet and away from the main road and offers a safe environment.
My
children have been at Hursley (and later Ampfield) for the past few years and they have shown significant growth and emotional development in their time there.

Amazing staff always looking out for every child. Great communication my daughter had a really hard time settling in but the staff here all made it so easy for not just her but me as well. Always kept up to date through out the day really helped with things like potty training and making friends too.

We couldn't be happier with Hursley nursery. From the very first day, the staff have been welcoming, caring, and genuinely invested in our child's wellbeing and development. The atmosphere is warm, safe, and nurturing, and it's clear how much effort goes into making every child feel valued.

The activities
are creative and varied - from outdoor play to arts, music, and early learning - all designed to encourage curiosity and independence. We've seen real progress in our child's confidence, language, and social skills since joining.
Communication is excellent: we're kept up to date with daily routines, meals, and milestones, and staff are always approachable if we have any questions.
It gives us great peace of mind knowing our child is in such capable, kind hands every day. We feel very lucky to have found Hursley Nursery (I should say found us) and can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a disappointing experience with this nursery. When we raised several concerns about our son's wellbeing, the responses felt dismissive. One key issue was that our son repeatedly said he wasn't allowed to play with his old friends. We shared this with his key person, but were told he had "new
friends" and it wasn't a problem. We later found out that the same child he struggled with was also stopping him from playing with others, which we felt needed better support. We also raised concerns about staff language and tone, but these were met with firm denials rather than open discussion. One written reply even included "lol," which we found unprofessional. We were encouraged to move him to another setting, which didn't feel like a resolution. Overall, we didn't feel heard or supported and, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this nursery.
