Any apprehension about placing grandchildren in a nursery was rapidly alleviated. The Ofsted report and parents’ feedback is very positive.
In an adapted church, it’s a marvellous facility caring for babies and up to preschool age. Professional, approachable owner, friendly staff and SEN staff. We’re
impressed by the standard of provision and age-appropriate learning.
Activities are in separate, age-appropriate groups. There’s an additional huge room for supervised play - with a bouncy castle (every child’s dream) and larger play equipment - where children can run off steam. Toys are regularly updated.
Various topical and seasonal themes eg King’s Coronation, charity food bank visit, dress up days, harvest, Xmas songs with craft session - to name a few.
Home-cooked, healthy food.
Each child’s birthday is ceremoniously celebrated.
Adopting a Forest School approach, outdoor play is strongly advocated. Children are regularly accompanied in the popular Daisybank bus to sites of interest.
