If you are looking for a kind, caring, fun, nurturing environment for your child, this is the place. I have sent one of my children here and have another one currently here. The staff are very knowledgeable and supportive. They are great at settling in all children especially the nervous ones. The best part is seeing how happy my son comes home.
There is lots for them to do, and we get updated often with what they are up to and the things they are learning.
I would highly recommend this nursery as I have done already.
The setting has undertaken a lot of changes over the past year and as a result, has improved massively. My daughter has excelled this year in becoming more independent and getting over her attachment anxiety. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and keep you in date with child/rens progress reports and various day events they hold for the children or charities. Highly recommended.
Both my daughter and son go to this nursery. Daughter at Skylark and my son at Spoonbill. (Next door to each other). My son started coming here when he was still only a little baby and took to it straight away. My daughter had started about 2 years old and took to it straight away after leaving a different nursery! The staff are always there if you need a chat. You get constant information about what they have done that day or what's coming up! They have a farm come to the nurseries and my kids love that! But not only do my kids love this nursery, so do I!
Also really looked after as a military family too!
Love this nursery, my little boy always enjoys going and has a lovely time and has come along so much since starting. The manager and team have always made you feel welcome. They are always friendly and they support my child really well while his dads away on deployment, would definitely recommend.
My child moved up to Skylark from the nursery next door, and he absolutely loves it there. He had outgrown the babies in the nursery, and he needed to be around more children his age and older. Since starting Skylark in September, his speech has blossomed so much and with their support, we have finally gotten him potty trained. The staff are always lovely and make great efforts to communicate with me, either in person or via the app, to let me know about his day to day activities and how he is progressing.
My son started at Spoonbill when he was 8 months old and was there until just before his 3rd birthday as he’s now moved on. The staff have become like family to him and have always been so accommodating and supportive. As a navy wife, my husband has spent a lot of time away and with no family around to help they were always there for me to give advice or to even offer a cup of tea and a listening ear. They have a huge garden and really believe that children should spend as much time exploring outdoors as they can, which I love and encourage the kids to express themselves through art and fancy dress. I’ve recommended Spoonbill to everyone I know that has had a baby after my son joined them!
My first daughter started at Spoonbilll in May 2017 and they were fantastic with her. She has just moved next door as she turns 3 next week. She loved her time at Spoonbill and loves all the staff! My second daughter started in September. She has adjusted well, with the support of the team. I cannot recommend the nursery enough. The staff, the setting everything is just perfect. They treat the children brilliantly and all the children have a great connection with the staff. They are approachable and ease any worries you may have. We have done many stay and plays as well which are great.
They allow me to check in on how my little one is doing and really eased me into leaving her with them too. Can't recommend enough!
My little boy goes to Spoonbill and has done since he was 6 months old. He thrives and learns so much. The whole setting's staff are lovely and so flexible. No set sessions which is so helpful with my shift work. Nothing is too much effort for the staff and they go out their way to accommodate. Most of the staff are parents themselves and this was a big thing for me because not only are they qualified through qualifications but also and in my opinion, more importantly, qualified with experience. I am an anxious mum and suffered terribly with postnatal depression and anxiety and I trust these ladies completely with my son.
My daughter started when she is about a year old. Very accommodating staff, nice environment and nice big garden for the children to play when weather is nice. Highly recommended.
