Overall Experience

Prior to April 2025 I had happy Children attending this setting, they were progressing and enjoying their days at the nursery. Then from about mid April Key staff members of many years left leaving children without Key workers until July 2025. Children have regressed in key milestones and fully potty

trained children are now wetting themselves several times throughout the day. Worryingly poor management have caused trauma and distress to many children and parents to the point of a group complaint being devised submitted. The settings appealing aspects such and yoga, meditation and nature walks have stopped. Different staff every day and impatient and not friendly permanent staff have contributed to a serious decline in the safeguarding of children in the setting.

We hope your children get the support we believe they need and which we have been trying to secure for them. We know it can be hard for parents to accept when their children (or the family) need extra help. We also hope that there will be no more episodes of aggressive and harassing behaviour towards our staff from your family-we have a zero tolerance policy for that. We dismissed two members of staff in the last few months-our safeguarding processes have worked exactly as they should. As an employer we cannot share more details on that with parents. We had to rely on some cover staff for a few weeks, as it takes time to find good people and to complete pre-employment checks. Safer recruitment is paramount. We have now filled those two gaps with experienced, highly qualified people. Our usual high quality activities and curriculum are in still in place and have been throughout-while short of staff, we did not have a lot of time to write details newsletters. We wish your family well.

Overall Experience

The nursery was taken over by new owners 2 years ago and parents were encouraged to post a review, which I gladly did and rated the nursery 5 stars. The nursery was fantastic, and we were assured that the existing staff would remain, and the nursery would go from strength to strength.

In recent

months, all of the long-serving staff have been pushed out, and the quality of care has deteriorated dramatically. The nursery now runs on minimal staffing, often relying on staff brought in from other nurseries within the chain. Unfortunately, these individuals appear overwhelmed, unfamiliar with the children, and unable to manage effectively.

All of the fun activities that the children enjoyed like nature walks, cooking and yoga have stopped. The atmosphere has changed, and the children now seem unsettled and unhappy.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We had to dismiss 2 members of staff in the last 2 of months and our deputy was off sick. This caused a temporary disruption while we hire replacements. We have acted responsibly and before those staff members could do any harm-our safeguarding processes worked as they are supposed to. During this time, we increased our usual staff levels and senior staff have been providing additional support. We appreciate that during these few weeks, there was a disruption to our usual curriculum, as cover staff are not fully familiar with our way of doing things. Our deputy is now back from sick leave and we are in pre-employment checks with a couple of staff who are of high caliber and keen to start, as soon as safer recruitment processes are completed. Once they are in place, we look forward to resuming our usual exceptional early years education and hope parents have a little bit of patience and understanding during this time.

Overall Experience

I cannot speak highly enough of Alba - Little Me Pre-School. From the moment we enrolled our son, we knew we had made the right choice. The staff here are absolutely fantastic - warm, nurturing, and deeply committed to the well-being and development of each child. Our son is truly thriving at this preschool.

We've seen such incredible growth in his confidence, communication, and curiosity. The environment is filled with happy, engaged children, and it's clear that the kindness and care shown by the teachers play a huge role in that.
What really sets Alba -apart is their child-led approach to learning. Every teacher is attentive, supportive, and genuinely passionate about helping each child discover their strengths and interests. The atmosphere is one of encouragement, exploration, and empathy.Trusting someone else with your child is no small thing, but I feel calm, confident, and incredibly grateful knowing that my child is in such loving and capable hands.

Overall Experience

My daughter loves nursery, forming wonderful connections with the staff and her peers. The team has been amazing from day one, and after seeing the care our son received, we knew we wanted the same for our daughter. The staff nurture each child individually, ensuring they feel heard and valued. It's

incredible to see her growing into such an independent, confident little person. The team supports her well, maintaining great communication about her interests and home life, making her feel truly seen. She enjoys playing with older children, and the staff help her navigate different age groups. The outdoor space was another deciding factor, with a manager who is a passionate gardener, that enthusiasm is passed down to the children. Recently, the children have been learning about different cultures, and the staff make every effort to ensure inclusion. We can't thank the manager and her team enough, knowing our daughter is happy, safe, and excited to go each day brings us so much joy.

Overall Experience

This is a fantastic nursery. Each and every member of staff is invested in the development of the children. The nursery has a great ethos and the outdoor space is unlike any other. My child has attended this nursery for just over 2 years and has come so far with her development milestones, social skills

and academic ability. The staff devote much of their personal time to making each day a new and exciting experience for the children. Events and trips are regularly organised to give the children something to look forward to in addition to gaining independence. The staff actively ask about and implement feedback from parents regarding their children, working as a team to meet each child's needs. I thoroughly recommend this nursery.

Overall Experience

We are so glad we found this nursery. It is a truly nurturing place. The small team are caring and dedicated, they really know the children and want the best for them. And it is the same team every day, providing stability and consistency. This was such a relief after moving from another setting in

the area which relied heavily on temps.
Our daughter has grown in confidence and comes home every day happy and talking about all the things she did at nursery. She's very keen on the array of Montessori activities, which has really supported her development, and enjoys the multitude of other activities and varying themes. Every day there is something new.

An absolutely incredible nursery. My daughter walks in happily every morning and I feel so lucky to know she is loved and given opportunities I couldn't provide myself. The staff are incredibly experienced, kind and nurturing. It follows the Montessori way whilst we are lucky to have forest school on

a Friday where the children have such fun! I could not rate this nursery any more highly and recommend it to everyone I know.

Overall Experience

The nursery has rendered quality care since my daughter was enrolled there. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. They are supportive and helpful in raising the little ones under their care. The children are empowered to be well-rounded and not only learn about the standard and basic classroom lessons

Overall Experience

For us, my child and me as well, the nursery is more than just a place. This place is like our second home. The staff knows and wants to always know more about my child so it progresses well. My child is a SEN child and I've been welcomed with a pure heart. The staff provided everything for my child

so he felt safe and happy. My son goes and comes from the nursery with a huge smile. Always happy. The staff tells me everything that is happening during the day as my child does not communicate yet as he should in his normal age. I never had any worries even when he started a year ago because I had my two older daughters in the nursery too. Same great experience this time. I am overjoyed with the staff and this place and I am recommending the nursery to whoever asks for a good place. The Alba is the best place with outstanding facilities. I love the staff and the things they do for children. I can see how my child progresses from week to week. Thank you Alba!

Marlow Montessori at Bovingden Green Village Hall is a wonderful, peaceful nursery setting in which children learn, grow, explore, and develop. Staff are loving and kind, and they develop strong relationships with each child and their family. My child has grown in personal confidence, literacy, numeracy,

mark making and letter formation, play and social skills, as well as cooking and a huge amount of painting. Independence is a priority for the Montessori approach and this has given my child a secure foundation from which to start Reception at School.
Forest school is the highlight of the week for everyone involved- absolutely outstanding and a joy to behold.

Overall Experience

My son recently finished at Marlow Montessori which he attended from just after he turned 2 until he left to start Primary School. He absolutely loved it. The challenges, learning, and activities kept him engaged and he was beyond ready to start Primary School, I believe this was because of the structure

and learning at Montessori. The staff are dedicated, nurturing, and fully invested in each child's success. The beautiful additional setting of Forest School is an incredible bonus. It is an incredibly unique and magical experience that my son enjoys every week whatever the weather!
We have been so pleased with the setting that my daughter has now begun at Marlow Montessori too and despite only being there a few weeks has settled very well and comes out with a beaming smile every day. I have no doubt Marlow Montessori will prepare her for school and will guide and nurture her along the way to be an independent and engaged individual in the same way as my son. Would 100% recommend.

Overall Experience

Alba Marlow Montessori is a wonderful, nurturing nursery with very experienced, dedicated, and caring staff. It's a very warm, welcoming environment where the children feel supported to learn and are given lots of encouragement. The Friday Forest school with a particular teacher is a huge highlight

as well!
My daughter attended Alba Marlow Montessori from age 2 until she left for school this year. She absolutely loved her time at Montessori. The staff are a huge asset - they get to know each child incredibly well, and there is very little staff turnover - Two teachers in particular have been with the nursery for ages!
Alba Marlow Montessori was the ideal first environment for our daughter to start her formal learning/school career and I would highly recommend it to other families.

Overall Experience

Marlow Montessori is a wonderful nursery where the children get to be curious, independent, and have fun. I have seen so much growth in my children's self-confidence to do things on their own and to try things and practice if they don't know something straight away.
The nursery staff are so caring

for the children and support them in their growth.

Overall Experience

Marlow Montessori is a wonderful preschool. They have such a strong, stable, knowledgeable team of staff who love to nurture children. I have seen both my little ones grow and become so independent! Being a nursery school with a defined and rich Montessori curriculum, it is so much more than childcare.

Overall Experience

Nurturing, friendly amazing staff who communicate promptly are incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns parents may have. My child who started recently as a 2-year-old loves going to school and us as parents are so proud of a fabulous start to his education journey in a supportive understanding

environment! All the staff understand and support his needs effectively despite the fact his speech is not clear and his speech is coming on leaps and bounds as we at home and the staff at nursery are all working together effectively to help him improve!

Overall Experience

My grandson stays with us for half the week. He goes to Alba-Marlow Montessori School for 1.5 days. The first half day is Forest School which he adores. He has only been there for about a term but has settled very well. We feel confident that he is well cared for and stimulated. The staff are so caring.

He is doing very well, both us and his parents are very happy with the school.

Overall Experience

The warmth, expertise and dedication of the staff at this Nursery makes it an excellent place for little ones. My son has been attending since August 2021 and we are so happy with the nursery. My eldest attended until August 2018 and the fact the staff remembered him and his specific habits says much

about how much they focus on the children. Activities are varied and are focused on set themes for the week. Parents are kept up to date through an app with a daily diary and more focused golden moments around how the child is developing. The focus on mental wellbeing in early years (yoga, mindfulness) is extremely welcomed for establishing good habits early. The concept of the 'kindness jar' is excellent, not least because of the positive impact it has had on behaviour at home. As a parent, I am especially grateful for the flexibility of nursery staff. They, more than anything, are what makes this nursery such a good choice for my children. The nursery is situated in a sports pavilion and the outdoor space is well utilised through a play area in which there is a bug hotel, gardening area and before harvest they even had a scarecrow! It is a nice touch when children prepare food they have grown to have as part of meals and snacks. Many celebrations are marked at the nursery, from Christmas, Diwali, Eid, bonfire night and Halloween. For the latter, the staff put on an excellent party for the children including spooky snacks and face painting. They mixed fun with opportunities to learn and the children had a great day. Parent voice is taken on board - for example, they recently introduced an option to send a packed lunch or have a pre-prepared paid-for meal. This flexibility allows parents to do what suits them best. Overall, a gem of a nursery which does all and more that you would want an early years setting to do.
