Our daughter started in September 2025 and since the settling in sessions has really enjoyed nursery. The food variety is fantastic, and the updates that we get to see how our daughter is doing are great for keeping us up to date on her fun, development and progress. The "parents evening" sessions are great to get to know how the development has been and what the next steps are. All staff are enthusiastic, friendly and have been great at developing a bond with our daughter, and now she always smiles when seeing the staff in the room on a morning. A big thank you to Lara Nursery and their team!

My daughter has started the Lara nursery recently. She has settled there so nicely with in few weeks.I am so happy of their caring behaviour. I was really worried about her sleeping as she couldn't sleep without me , How she will stay with out me but she has been settled very well.She is enjoying the nursery and first few days I have seen her how confident she is ! Thank you Lara nursery.

I have been so pleased with the staff, processes, delicious food and activities that my daughter experiences at Lara Nursery. I was nervous about sending her to nursery but the staff have made me feel really reassured and I can tell they really care about the children and their development.

I can't commend Lara nursery highly enough. Since our son started attending in May he's developed brilliantly. The ladies in Dreamer room put so much effort into helping the children build their skills and confidence. Our son genuinely loves attending the setting. I'd also mention the food, which again is excellent. There is a big focus on variety and nutrition which shows in the meals they have. Well done Lara, keep up the excellent work.

My son has just started with Lara, he has been attending 1 month now. His confidence has come on lots. He is so interested in playing at home and interacting with the toys and activities we do with him. He loves being outdoors and Lara facilitates and support this amazingly. The food he eats is incredible, he is loving very minute. The team are absolutely fabulous, we feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful environment for him. Thank you so much.

We couldn't be happier with Lara Nursery. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about the children's wellbeing. Our daughter loves going every day! The food is nutritious and varied, giving us confidence in her health and development. There's a fantastic range of engaging activities, both indoors and out, including an adventurous outdoor space where safe play is always encouraged. The nursery is a secure, welcoming environment with a strong focus on progression, and we've seen amazing growth in our daughter. We especially love the unique connections with the local care home, fostering lovely intergenerational bonds, as well as the exciting visits from third-party guests-she cant wait for the animal day! Lara Nursery truly goes above and beyond.

Lara Nursery has been an incredible start to our child's journey. From day one, the friendly, welcoming staff made us feel at home. The support offered to both children and parents is outstanding, with clear communication at all times. The nursery follows a well-structured development plan with future goals tailored to each child. Facilities are second to none-safe, modern, and beautifully maintained. Staff are highly trained, caring, and professional. The food and nutrition menu is amazing, promoting healthy eating in a fun and engaging way. Cleanliness is exceptional throughout the building. We have total peace of mind knowing our child is in such a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment. Lara truly goes above and beyond in every aspect.

My little girl started here when she was 9 months old and she absolutely loves it. The staff are so supportive, caring and always amazing. The manager always goes above and beyond for the children and parents and nothing is ever too much. My little girl goes in with a smile, the activities are varied, educational and tailored to each individual child and classes at different ages. I couldn't recommend this nursery more if I tried. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

Amazing nursery with excellent facilities! Our son started here when they first opened last year & he is thriving! He's always so excited going in on a morning. It's so nice to see how much he's developed in the past 8 months! The staff are hardworking and so caring. The app is brilliant and always updated throughout the day. The food & snacks are always nutritious and varied, he never comes home hungry. The facilities are amazing inside & out. The nursery itself is so secure, we never worry about him when he's in their care. Would 1000% recommend this nursery to anyone in & around Thirsk.

We have been extremely impressed with Lara nursery as a family. This is our first experience of using a child care provider and we are very happy with the care our son receives. He has settled in quickly, helped by the staff who really show interest in him, his likes and dislikes, and show a lot of care treating him as an individual rather than one of a group. The team give a really warm welcome in the morning, clear hand overs, and keep us updated throughout the day with pictures and prompt responses to any messages we send. The food is also amazing, his nursery says are his best food days of the week! Finally, the management team have really helped with getting paperwork done beforehand and were able to help with getting the government funding sorted.

I previously posted about how excited I was to have my son attend Lara nursery and now he has been there for three months. He has excelled in every way. His speech and development has come on massively and I am so happy with everything he does at nursery. The app is an amazing tool for parents to keep up to date through the day with what their little ones are up to. I honestly thought I'd have my son attend Lara for a little while to get him used to being in a nursery setting and then when he was ready, transfer him to a nursery attached to a primary school so the transition to school was smoother but I don't think I'm going to after seeing how he is thriving and how well he is getting on. Staff are welcoming and helpful and I couldn't recommend Lara nursery enough.

We recently had the pleasure of attending Lara Nursery for the Christmas presentation where we met at the door the nursery manager and several of her staff who were extremely welcoming. The nursery itself is a shining example of what you would wish to find and the thought and consideration that has obviously gone into its creation cannot be understated, it is little wonder why our grandchildren love the time they spend there and are often reluctant to leave. The presentation was a particular joy to watch with children and staff wearing Christmas hats and playing instruments whilst singing along to the songs they had rehearsed, all of them smiling happily throughout. The staff and children had obviously all enjoyed the time they had spent learning songs and playing different instruments as it was more than apparent on all of their faces. I cannot praise the staff enough for the care they show the children, for making us welcome and to feel part of the nursery family.

My grandson has been at Lara Nursery since it opened he has blossomed in every way. The staff and management are impeccable and nothing is too much trouble. The daily diary of your child's day is great. Lovely friendly atmosphere. The nursery itself is spacious and inviting. The outside play area is brilliant and always clean and tidy.

We couldn't be happier with Lara Nursery. Our 1-year-old absolutely loves coming every day and it's so heartwarming to see how much he's developed since starting. The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, always making sure he feels comfortable and happy. It's clear they truly love what they do. The food is also fantastic-fresh, nutritious, and he loves every meal. We've seen such positive growth in his social skills, motor development and overall happiness. We're so grateful for the amazing team at Lara Nursery and couldn't recommend them enough.

We went to look around Lara with our 2-year-old and were really impressed with the purpose-built facilities. From little touches like with window for children to look into the kitchen to the built-in sink in the water play area just at their height made me realise how much consideration has gone into the learning environment. Then big things like an indoor climbing frame for the older ones and floor-to-ceiling windows so there is daylight and always a view of the all-weather playground. The staff have been exceptional in helping my little one and me, for it is the first time I've left her with someone who is not family. I get regular updates throughout the setting-in period and I can truly say they went above and beyond to help her calm down. I also have a baby and won't hesitate to send him there either. The separate room for babies to sleep in was important to me and something I hadn't seen at another local offer. My daughter currently comes home singing songs they are learning for their Christmas presentation. It has been such a joy watching her develop. Thank you!

Lara Nursery is a wonderful and welcoming environment that supports children in their development and encourages them to flourish as individuals. Our daughter skips in on a morning and we struggle to persuade her to leave at the end of the day. The facilities are second to none but it is the staff, their attention to detail and the genuine care and enthusiasm that they show, that sets the nursery apart. The children are encouraged to play and learn whilst fostering a strong sense of independence; serving their own food, preparing snacks, tidying up, washing hands, choosing activities etc. And it is this choice and autonomy (in a supportive setting) that has seen our daughter flourish and settle in so seamlessly over the last couple of months. Last but not least, the food served throughout the day is excellent with a dedicated chef who creates fresh, healthy and nutritionally balanced snacks and meals. If you are looking for a local nursery, we would wholeheartedly recommend Lara's.

Highly recommend Lara Nursery and the manager and her team. They've made the whole process easy, not only have they supported my little girl but myself as well, my little girl went in with utter ease and confidence.

Very happy with this nursery, We moved to Lara after having issues with our past nursery and our daughter now loves it here, she goes on excursions, is always learning, gets to visit the elderly home next door and spend time reading/playing with the older folks in there. At Lara they focus on delivering a nutritious menu to the kids and my daughter never comes home hungry too! Lovely staff and just a great atmosphere in a well-thought-out nursery!

Such a lovely setting with amazing facilities and outdoor space. The team are all so friendly and welcoming and our little one is a big fan of the food! We're so pleased with how well our little one has settled in and it speaks volumes how happy and excited he is every time we collect him.
