So pleased I chose this nursery setting.
All the staff are lovely from the office team, nursery workers and chefs. They are all so friendly and take time to talk to everyone.
Handovers are so thorough, I know exactly what my daughter has done throughout the day and everything she has eaten (or not
eaten)
She now walks in with a smile on her face and comes out just as happy and content. Going to the farm on a regular basis is such a bonus too.
They staff are helpful, encouraging and so supportive. Couldn't ask for more!

Our little boy joined in September 2025. He is my first and I was a bit nervous about nursery and how he would be as before he had only been left with family if not in my care. During the settling in period he was a bit unsettled when going in but was fine not long after he went in. The farm really
helped as he enjoyed that part the most especially during the settling in period. Working with the staff in the baby room it soon didn't take him very long to settle in and go in with no issues at all. Fast forward 4 months and my little boy gets excited to go to nursery to see all the staff and the other children on the days that he is in. I have loved seeing his development in nursery and it's so lovely when they send updates on the app so I can see what he has been up to. The staff are all lovely and nothing is ever too much for children or parents. I'm so grateful to the baby room so thank you to all of them. Also to Lauren when showing us around she answered all our questions. Thank you

My little boy started Barleylands from the very first moment it opened its door & he's has thrived ever since then. From Admin Staff, Keyworkers to Management I cannot fault anything with them to date. Nothing is ever a problem & if a problem has ever risen it's dealt with quickly. To watch my
little boy have fun and learn makes it all worth sending him. Thank you to you all, you really deserve a pat on the back

Can not thank the staff and how they are with my daughter, since starting there last year she's has grown an interested so so well, the amount of confidence and how happy she is going there daily just makes life so much easier and this is all down to the staff and care they give her,

I cannot speak highly enough of Barleylands Nursery. As an ex Nursery Manager myself, the quality of a setting was extremely important to me and the nursery is far beyond the expectations I could have wished for. The staff are excellent - they truly care about the children and all have wonderful
personalities, always happy and it shows how much they are valued in their roles and enjoy their jobs. Daily detailed updates with photos are provided on the app and handovers are thorough. The quality of the activities are outstanding, with clear intentions of learning objectives and a huge amount of effort put in to providing excellent opportunities for extended learning. The resources are wonderful and lots of natural led play and exploration. The children are able to play in a wonderful garden and daily trips to the farm extend their learning in a fantastic real world environment. My son has thrived at Barleylands and I couldn't be happier with my choice to send him here. Highly recommended

The staff are all wonderful. My daughter took a while to settle, they were so patient and comforted her always. She has blossomed since being there. She has learnt alot, made friends and become more confident in herself. She is very fond of her key worker also. She is happy to go in now.
We always
get updates on how she is doing, and at the end of the session get a detailed summary of her day. This Nursery is fantastic

.I've been sending my daughter to Barleylands Nursery for just over a year now, and I can honestly say it's one of her favourite places to be. She absolutely loves attending the farm regularly and has especially been enjoying the daily exercise sessions recently. She's developed invaluable social
skills and has made so many lovely friends along the way.
The staff are fantastic and have made the whole experience of leaving her there incredibly easy. As a first-time mum, trusting anyone with your child can feel daunting, but they go above and beyond to make you feel reassured. I also really appreciate the regular events they hold for parents and the way they recognise and celebrate their staff's hard work.
Thank you to all the staff for providing such a safe, nurturing, and happy environment where my daughter can truly thrive.

We absolutely love this nursery. The girls are so lovely and genuinely caring, and my son absolutely loves attending his sessions. He enjoys every single minute he's there, which says it all. It's such a comfort knowing he's happy, settled, and well looked after. I couldn't recommend it enough!xxx

Since my first daughter started Barleylands, she has come on leaps and bounds with her speech and social skills, she learns so much at Barleylands and the proof is in the pudding when she brings her learning home. My second started this month, and they let my eldest visit her in her room to help
her settle in, the love that the staff have for the children is exactly what you want to see and feel when you drop them off knowing they are safe and cared for. The attention to detail regarding their learning and well being is second to none and they do not only think about the children but they think about the family too, they have created a perfect parent area with tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit. In addition to this no job is too small or too big and they will do whatever they can to help you with anything in regards to your children. I feel a sense of safe and warmth when I walk through the doors to drop my girls off, we feel so lucky our girls have a place here xxxx

My son joined this nursery as a 1 year old in the baby room. The settling in sessions were excellent and really put my mind at ease. He's settled in really well and the staff are all very caring and attentive. The food offering is always varied and looks lovely! Communication has been great
throughout.

This nursery seems great at first with children being able to attend the farm but once you look past this aspect, you see the care and support is actually pitiful. On 2 occasions (my child's birthday & leaving day), they "forgot" to share his cake out with his friends, resulting in my child becoming
upset and crying which ruined his last day. They admitted this failing was due to poor staff communication. You don't get Regular updates on your child and their learning (their last update was provided 2.5 months ago via the app!) f2f updates only typically include the farm visit and what was consumed that day). Also there is a lack of structured play. They focus heavily on child-led free play which ultimately results in the children not actually learning vital skills. My child has left and recently attended a new preschool and is already focusing on practicing letter recognition, scissor skills, school readiness skills ect. Please think twice about sending your child here.

As a first time mum, I was dubious to send my son to nursery but had to return to work. I put my son in Barleylands when he was 11 months old - and he has done nothing but thrive since. Since attending Barleylands 4 days a week, he has learned to walk, say a few words and gain social skills from
mixing with the staff, other children and the animals on the daily trips to the farm!
During school holiday periods, my son is also privy to extra curricular activities, such as summer foam/UV parties, alongside entertainment that non nursery children have to pay for.
The app is frequently updated with details of his day such as nap times, nappy changing and feeding - with a breakdown of what he's eaten and quantity.
My son has extra needs as he is hard of hearing and wears hearing aids. The staff have been critical in his development adapting to his aids, having had training to ensure that they are fully equipped to deal with his needs.
I am very pleased with my choice to send my son here.

Being a first time mum & new to the feeling of sending our little one to a nursery was very daunting. However, I cannot fault barleylands nursery at all. Always so welcoming & friendly to our family and our little boy has learnt so many new skills in such a short period of being here. Thankyou
endless amounts to all the team here at barleylands we cannot thank you enough!! Ps- the farm trips DAILY are a huge success with our son, not to add it's so clean & our son eats Michelin star meals each time he attends. He's adapted so well and will be sad to see it end when he's off to big school :)

My son has attended since opening and the staff have been nothing but incredible.
He had a really hard time settling in & the staff worked so hard to help make him comfortable, even providing additional settling in sessions for him to ensure he wasn't out the rhythm of being there.
He's thriving,
i drop him off with confidence that he'll have a fun day & love getting end of day updates of what he's been up to or what he's interested in most.
Most importantly, his eating has always been difficult & they've worked so hard in introducing foods, splitting his meals to encourage him to try things. The pride I felt when the staff excitedly told me he ate a strawberry!! It's truly lovely to have staff that are invested in his development.

Having moved my 3 year old son from another setting due to not being happy with them after he was with them for over 2 years, I was worried if I had done the right thing. I need not have worried. All the ladies at Barleylands are lovely and clearly love helping the children to grow and develop. They
show great encouragement, are personable, friendly and are a delight to have look after my son. I have already recommended them to numerous other Mums. Thank you to all at Barleylands, you're doing a fantastic job :-)

Our son has been attending Barleylands Farm since it opened and we couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention he receives. The staff are exceptionally nurturing and professional, creating a warm and welcoming environment that has made our son feel right at home.
Recently, the nursery
installed new privacy fencing, which has significantly enhanced the outdoor play area. The improved fencing not only ensures the children's safety but also provides a more secluded space for them to explore and play freely. We are truly grateful for the positive impact Barleylands has had on our son's development and well-being. The combination of dedicated staff and thoughtful improvements like the new fencing makes it a standout choice for any parent seeking quality childcare. I would also like to give a massive thank you to one lady for the outstanding work and effort she puts in with the children. You should be extremely proud of yourself and so should your management team!

My son has just started the nursery, from the settle sessions to his first few days, all of the team has been incredible. For the first few days, as my son was very unsettled, we got messages and phone call updates and photos to reassure us he was settling which made the whole going back to work a
lot easier. I am extremely happy with what they offer and would highly recommend. Since being at the nursery, he has visited the farm every day which is such a fantastic opportunity. They have also catered very well to every changing dietary requirements.
