Our baby started in the baby room at Spencerswood Day Nursery in January, and we honestly couldn't be happier with how things have gone. From the very beginning, the staff made the whole transition so smooth and reassuring for both our baby and us as parents.
He settled in amazingly quickly, which
we really credit to the caring and attentive team. It's clear that they genuinely take the time to get to know each baby, their routines, and what makes them feel comfortable. Every day he arrives with a smile and leaves happy, which says everything about how well he's being looked after.
Before starting, we did wonder if the baby room being in the basement would make any difference, but it honestly doesn't at all. The room is bright, welcoming, and full of engaging activities, and most importantly our baby clearly has the best day there. He's always busy playing, learning, and interacting with the staff and other babies.

Fantastic nursery with amazing staff. My child was quite unsettled initially starting nursery (as they all are) but the incredible team have done an excellent job in helping him settle. My child is on his fifth week and now he doesn't want to leave when I pick him up! Really value the communication
from the nursery and through the app, knowing how my child has got on with eating and sleep is very helpful. That being said the staff in the room always give a detailed update at pick up on how my child has got on. Particular shout out to the ladybird and caterpillar room team who have done wonders settling my child in and keeping us up to date.

The staff are always attentive to my child and I feel they know my child really well. The staff are also really friendly.
The children have access to a broad range of activities, equipment and resources and all activities and developments are regularly and clearly communicated.
There is a great
range of meals served throughout the week.
Hamdover at the end of the day is brilliant. I couldn't reccomend this nursery more.

Lovely staff.always get a feedback what happened during the day.
When I requested that child need to be helped after toilet time they fullfield my request.
Anything asked they do they're best to make parents happy.
Educating my child very nicely,and always welcoming.
Generally clean nursery:
What I notice negativity is / what can improve,is that some children's nose are running,(badly)they don't wipe it so they passing they're germs during the day on furnitures and on other children.
Indoor very nice,outdoor space isn't that big ,and I would develop it with equipment/slides and bits.
My child always happy there,despite when leaving him he isn't confident,but he is always given cuddles,so can settle quickly.

Spencers Wood Day Nursery always go above and beyond for both parents and children. My son always comes home happy and excited. He goes into the room with ease and on days that may be a difficult drop off, the staff always ensure he's calm either before I leave or reassure me how he's getting on not
long after drop off. The activities and education they provide for the children are fantastic, as well as the meals, keeping parents in the loop of any changes/upcoming events. I can't fault them. Keep up the amazing work SWDN! A kind, caring and enthusiastic community.

My daughter has been here a month now, and loves it so much, and as parents we are very pleased and happy with the nursery.
All of the staff from management, admin to nursery staff are so welcoming, informative and care deeply about every child in their care.
My daughter is thriving everyday,
and we are always regularly updated on her food, sleep, activities and any issues straight away. The team has helped us with her weaning development and daily updates on how shes been has been so lovely. It has honestly made going back to work so much easier knowing she is in excellent hands.

The nursery is very well managed given all the perils and hardships that go into managing the tiny angels :)
Every time I come to pick up my daughter the nursery staff make it a point to explain her day to me. They really do pay attention to the details of my daughter's days activity which is
evident from their conversation with me. This leaves me with a feeling of how her day has been.
One feedback: The entrance to the nursery which is two doors currently are operated from the inside through a camera based manual check from the staff. I would suggest the nursery hand over a non transferable access card to the parents who can use this to gain entry to the nursery. This especially saves trouble for parents left waiting outside when there is no staff to man the door. Please implement this. It is more secure in terms of combating tailing entries as well.
Overall nursery is a great place thanks to the highly able management and staff. I see an ever improving version of my daughter!

My daughter has attended this nursery for 18 months now.
She has created some amazing bonds with the staff and it is clear that the staff are also fond of my little one. She is always happy to go and see everyone. She is well fed and alot of the time has seconds which is nice to see that the
children are fed till they are hungry.
Concerns happen time from time. However the senior team are always there and easily reachable to address anything needed. Thanks for all you do!

My little one has been attending the nursery since May 24.
The two ladies in the baby room have been amazing along with another two ladies in the next room.
Nursery has had challenges with reception which is now fully resolved meaning we are all able to enter the building promptly and safely.
My
little one is enjoying their time in the nursery and from my experience would certainly recommend it for babies as I've only currently had experience with these rooms.

Brand new nursery with up-to-date and engaging development resources. Clean and tidy workspaces. My child always arrives and leaves with a smile on their face which gives me confidence the nursery is providing an excellent service. Settling in sessions went well at the start and fitted in straight
away which reflects on the amazing staff. The key workers are very invested in bonding with them and enthusiastic in providing feedback on development. I do not get any negative feedback.

Staff have been friendly and helpful and my child has settled in really quickly with the help of the staff, always full of stories at pick up about the day's fun with new friends. Clean and fun rooms with lots of toys and activities to engage with.

As a parent, I am very happy with the communication and support as well as the great variety of food my child gets. She is thriving there and the staff are great! The premises are also very clean and tidy every morning which is way better than previous nurseries my daughter has attended. No

The staff are fantastic and super helpful. The girls in the baby room are amazing and always happy to update you. So happy with them. I love the updates of what they are getting up to and I can't wait for my little boy to go more.
My only honest concern relates to the safeguarding with reception.
Reception is rarely staffed and you can easily enter the building when other parents leave the gate. You can sometimes walk into the building and straight into the rooms. I appreciate the staff in the actual rooms know us and are not likely to hand over a child to an adult they don't know but it worries me that reception is non-existent a majority of the time and although unlikely it worries me slightly.

My son has only been at Spencer’s Wood for 2 months and I am definitely not disappointed so far. We’re regularly kept updated via the app and any issues via a phone call. The relationship with his key worker is amazing which really puts me at ease! 2 months may seem like a small amount of time but
he has learnt so much and his confidence just keeps on growing! I can’t wait to watch him grow up at Spencer’s Wood.

Spencer Wood Day Nursery is doing good. I would like to see the staff more prompt in updating the daily chores of children on the app. At the moment I feel it's very minimum info about how the day was.

My children are so happy at this nursery and are absolutely thriving! The staff encourage my children through learning and play and really supports their growth. The entire setting is amazing with great resources. Children have a range of different tools and equipment to support their development,
and all of the staff treat my children like their own family. The app they use to update you on your children's day is amazing and so helpful, I love being able to see what they have eaten and what activities they have done. I don't have a single complaint or concern about the nursery. My children have never been happier or more cared for at a nursery and I am so glad we found a nursery which was such a good fit for our family! Thank you to all the lovely staff!

I had 2 children at this setting when it first opened. In the first 4 weeks and our only 4 weeks here, we have had a disappointing and concerning experience.
This was mainly due to the management of the setting and inexperience of staff (I would like to call out the pre-school room leader however,
as each interaction with her was always fantastic).
Since leaving, senior management has reached out to hear my views and assured me of steps taken to make improvements. Whilst I won’t be around to confirm this, the setting has potential under the right leadership, but until that is established, the current performance did not meet my expectations.
Due to my experience, it was enough to pull my children out of the setting and revert back to our previous nursery which was outside of the area.
The nursery is new and may need time to develop. I wish them all the best.

We have had such an amazing experience since putting our little boy in Spencers Wood Day Nursery. The amount of settling in sessions was just great and the staff have been so accommodating to our child's needs, including dairy intolerance. We get regular updates on the app throughout the day which
instantly eases us and we know he is having the best time when at nursery. The big smile when we collect him says it all.

When the nursery opened we moved our 2-year-old from a different nursery and found he settled in straight away and loved it.
We were very happy with the layout and the little extras that help with learning.
My son has had a great time every time he has been there, the staff are always polite,
helpful and give constant updates with pictures etc.
I would highly recommend the nursery and the staff.

The staff at Spencers Wood Day Nursery really make this place, the facilities are nice and new but the staff really do everything they can to make our child and ourselves feel comfortable. I've never felt like any request is too much and they think of so many extra little touches.
The app is great
for regular updates and also for general communication. The food is always nutritious and varied, there are many different activities they do each day and they spend a lot of time outside.
A massive thank you to management and all of the staff that help my little girl have great support and experiences each day.
