View Full Details of Outdoor Owls PutneyNot enough space to shout loud enough about Outdoor Owls! Sending our little one there was the best decision we've made. The settling process was smooth, the staff are so genuinely caring (it speaks for itself when your little one is impatiently waiting at the gate and can't wait to go in and see everyone), the pickups and drop offs are seamless, probably the best catering out there (cooked from scratch, nothing processed, sustainable kitchen practices), being surrounded by nature all day and all the good it does for the nervous system, the other kids are all so well adjusted and happy too (which speaks for itself). I could go on. Ultimately, do one of the camp visits and feel/see it for yourself. I honestly have no idea how it's not oversubscribed, not sure if people are hesitant bc of the fact that it's a forest/outdoors which is a bit different for UK but I couldn't imagine sending my little one to an indoor/classroom environment having now experienced the Owls!
Truly magical! We cannot recommend OO enough. Our daughter settled in quickly (after a year struggling to settle at her previous nursery) and has clearly thrived from being there. The team are all kind, patient, caring, passionate, inspiring, creative and full of fun - everything (and more!) you could hope for in early years educators. They understand the unique needs of every child. The environment is healthy and wholesome, with a strong emphasis on adventure and the outdoors, which we absolutely love. It's been wonderful to see our daughter grow in confidence and independence, and to develop such a genuine appreciation for the natural world. She is happy (and often excited) to go off each morning, which speaks volumes about the warmth and positivity of the setting. Thank you to the whole team for nurturing our children so well and for doing what you do, we are eternally grateful! We can't wait for our son to start in a few months. We often say we wish we could come to OO too :)
My child has been attending the nursery for over a year now and he has thrived! He's come a long way in terms of his communication and physical delvelopment, I'm extremely grateful for the exceptional Educators who have helped my child achieve every major development smoothly. I'm very very happy with the nursery.
Amazing school l can recommend from the bottom of my heart. I fell in love in first opening day. That is the place and beautiful nature l grew up and my son is the same love outdoor area. He can burn his energy by doing lots of different activities. Teachers are so nice. I do have full respect what they do for them, every day is different. Thank you!
Watching this forest school grow from its early days has been nothing short of inspiring. What started as a gentle, playful way to introduce young children to nature has now become a powerful foundation for raising confident, kind, and curious young people. The staff here are truly exceptional. Their care, patience, and deep understanding of each child's unique journey is what makes this place so special. They don't just teach - they guide, nurture, and inspire. It's clear that every child is seen, heard, and supported to grow into their best self. Thanks to the incredible team , the children learn far more than facts. They grow in spirit, creativity, resilience, and kindness. They climb trees, solve problems, build friendships, and learn to love the world around them - all in a way that feels natural, joyful, and deeply meaningful This forest school is a rare gem. The work the staff are doing is shaping beautiful minds and even more beautiful hearts. We are so grateful for everything
We absolutely love Outdoor Owls, the team is the best I have seen and we went to check many nurseries before we decided to apply for this one. We are very happy with everything, from the cool outdoor activities to the minibus adventures that they have every time. I wouldn't consider any other nursery than for my daughter.
Outdoor owls is a fabulous place to send your child to. It is everything I could have hoped for and more. Crucially my daughter feels safe and happy there. She has learned so much and her development has been amazing. The team are very caring and loving. We get very detailed reports which clearly show how well they know our little one. I love knowing that every day she goes she is outside in the fresh air and developing her physical and emotional skills. Please don't let your fears about weather/cold winter days put you off. You get plenty of information on what to dress them in with suggested links for clothing outlets. She also loves her mini bus journeys there and back. Conventional nurseries will also not have as many male staff working there which, for me, is an added bonus. I strongly encourage Outdoor Owls and a visit to see the magic of the forest for yourself!
We have spent three years paying absolute top fees at the most expensive nursery in Wandsworth. I just wish we had joined Outdoor Owls sooner. It is, hands down, the most magical childcare experience I have seen not just in London, but elsewhere too. The staff are all fully engaged, active, empathetic, and proactively role models. The curriculum is carefully and thoughtfully laid out. The outdoors and physical activities are second to none. I noticed such positive changes in my daughter in just a few months, more positive self-talk, way more physically confident and outgoing, and every single day she's happy and grubby and tired and talks about the fun she's had. Don't let the fully outdoors bit put you off, the kids are perfectly kitted out and the teachers are on it. There are also sensible contingency plans for really bad weather. I finally feel zero mum guilt about childcare, and that's priceless.
Our daughter loves to go to Outdoor Owls! We are so happy to send her to a nursery where she gets so much nature and outdoor time with a good education. She barely ever gets sick anymore in comparison to her old indoor nursery which is a huge bonus for us all. Highly recommended.
