The Old School House Nursery exceeds any nursery I have ever had experience with! My son has been here from 5 months old. As you can imagine, like any Mum, I felt anxious and worried about leaving him, especially being so little. But, wow what can I say. Cheryl and the team are truly magical! All
staff involved care so much about the children AND parents - they genuinely spend the time to get to know you as a family and talk through any worries or anxieties that we all as parents have. This makes leaving my son so much easier, and I feel so confident that he will have a fun, safe, fulfilled day every day that he is there. The staff in all of the rooms take the time to get to know the children of all ages, it makes us feel like one big family! My son is so happy going in, and the app ensures that his Dad and I get to see what is happening in his day, in real time - from nap times, food (which by the way is delicious), to nappy changes! Thank you so much, magical humans! <3

My 18mo baby girl stated nursery in January. I was really nervous about her selling in, but the colleagues working at the nursery have been fantastic throughout the settling journey. Beth, Charlotte and both Laura's have helped my daughter to settle smoothly in the Hedgehogs room by meeting her
needs and encouraging her feeling of safety while away from me. As a mum I can't describe how much I am grateful to the hedgehogs team.
Furthermore, if you ever need help with any office related queries Lauren is so quick at coming back and addressing the queries. Communication is very good across board.

All the staff at the nursery are so lovely and great with our daughter. They go above and beyond and each day is never the same with the range of activities they do.
From my experience and what I can see all the staff genuinely know each of the children, along with the parents too. You keep well
informed what your child has done in their care along with a personalised handover at the end of the day.

My son has been at The Old School House Nursery for a year since he turned three, and we've had such a positive experience. The staff are warm, caring, and genuinely know each child well.
He's grown in confidence, independence, and social skills, and always comes home chatting about his day. The
nursery has a lovely balance of structured learning and play, and they value outdoor time (encouraged to go in the garden every day). Communication with parents is great. We're always kept updated on his progress and activities. It really feels like a nurturing, happy environment where children thrive.

The team at Old School House, Walmley, have been fantastic. They were so supportive and reassuring when our little one struggled to settle in. 3 months later, and he happily leaves my arms to join the lovely ladies in his room. There are well thought out daily activities for the kids that seem very
engaging and entertaining. Lovely home-cooked meals that even our fussy little one eats happily now.

Such a wonderful nursery!
Beautiful rooms always set up for the children with purpose. The staff are lovely and give personalised handovers which make you feel reassured that they know and love your little one. Great communication with parents.
Has made going back to work full time easier as he
loves it there! Couldn't recommend more!

I can't recommend The Old School House nursery highly enough. From the moment we started, the entire team - both the fantastic management and the incredible nursery staff - have been nothing short of amazing. They are kind, thoughtful, and genuinely care about the children in their care.
My son
absolutely adores them - his face lights up every morning when he sees the staff, and to me, that says everything.
The activities are so well thought out, creative, and varied - there's always something new and exciting for him to experience. It's clear how much effort goes into making each day enriching and fun.
Like many parents, I was nervous about starting nursery, but the team made the transition so easy. They regularly sent updates and photos, offering so much reassurance and support, which really helped put my mind at ease.
Hand on heart, I know I made the right choice in sending my son to The Old School House. It's a truly special place, and we're so grateful for everything they do.

Our daughter started nursery in November and it was her first time being cared for outside of our home. The nursery went above and beyond to settle her in. All of the Practitioners and management were so patient and kind.
Everything about the nursery is to the highest standard, from the food to
the toys and sensory activities. Parents are invited in for stay and plays in honour of Mother's Day, Christmas etc and they also have themed days for the children too. Our daughter especially likes the Sing and Sign class and going outside in the garden.
The staff really care about the children. Our daughter is only 16 months old and we can already see her learning new things and growing in confidence. She is very happy there and we know we chose the right place for her too.

Absolutely brilliant nursery! Our son took a little longer to settle in and all the staff at the Old School House Walmley made every effort into ensuring that his transition was as smooth as possible. From an increased number of settle sessions to allowing me to come in on those sessions so they
weren't too prolonged all made a real difference. Not every nursery will do this as we found with our older daughter. The communication from this nursery is outstanding. We always know how our sons day has been through an easy to use app and any messages are easily sent and received, nothing seems too much. They have a wonderful outside area for the children to enjoy as well as fun and engaging themes and topics each week. The nursery is also kept very clean from what I've noticed. I can't recommend this nursery enough, my son loves it there!

A fantastic nursery - Highly recommend! We couldn't be happier with The Old School House. Our daughter has absolutely thrived since joining - her confidence has grown so much, and she comes home chatting about all the fun things she's done each day. The staff are amazing, so warm and caring, and
they really take the time to get to know each child. One thing we love is how well they eat! The food is always fresh and nutritious, and it's great to see our little one trying new things and enjoying mealtimes. We've been so impressed that we're already planning to send our next child here too. A big thank you to the whole team for creating such a lovely environment - we couldn't ask for more!

We would highly recommend The Old School House Nursery. Since starting last year, our little boy's development has come on leaps and bounds. Especially his speech and social skills. The staff are always very kind and take the time to talk to you. The meals and snacks are always very healthy and
filling. The resources in the room are all age-appropriate and kept in very good condition. Our little boy comes home from nursery with a big smile on his face telling us the activities he has done that day.

A warm, welcoming, nurturing environment the moment I stepped into the nursery with my son. A beautiful nursery with staff who go above and beyond to look after my son. They have allowed my son to reach all of his developmental milestones through the most imaginative and creative activities that my
son absolutely loves to be involved in. The staff have supported not only my son but myself in feeling safe and secure in leaving my son for the day, providing me with regular updates throughout the day. My 1-year-old daughter started at nursery with some easing in sessions, of which the staff were very helpful and accommodating, with always what was best for my daughter in mind. All of the staff are incredibly professional and amazingly patient. After a month of being at nursery, my daughter has
formed a great bond with the staff, especially her key person and is really starting to show her development not just at home but at nursery too. The environment for the children to play in is also very good with a range of toys, sensory tools, etc. which also seems to be rotated frequently to keep all the children happy. I really appreciate and enjoy the time taken by the staff to post messages and posts via the app to let me know how my daughter is doing and what she has eaten throughout the day, each message and post is personalised and makes my day to see. Thank you to all the amazing staff!

Amazing nursery! We went to an open day in April 2024 and were told our daughter got free hours and could start within the next two months. The staff are all so welcoming and supportive. Nothing is ever too much trouble. My daughter asks every day if she can go to nursery and always asks for two
staff members in particular. The activities the nursery provides are great for my daughter, she comes home and shows me her yoga and wants to help with cooking. She has come so far since joining The Old School House in Walmley. You're all great. Thank you for everything you do for my daughter.

Such a lovely nursery! My daughter has been coming here now for nearly 2 months and the staff are amazing. Such nice resources, environment and the meals are good too. My daughter always has a great day when coming to this nursery and has settled in here very well. Would definitely recommend this
setting, I feel at ease leaving my daughter in their care and she is very well looked after.

Since my little one has started in June 2024 I could not be happier with this nursery. All the staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They take time to explain things and listen to anything you have to report about your little one. My child has made excellent bonds with the staff
as they are so caring and warm towards the children. The environment is always clean and the resources the children use are well looked after. They have a wide range of activities and toys available for the children and follow their lead with learning and playing. My child loves being at nursery and always comes out with a smile!

We're so happy we chose The Old School House! It was so daunting looking around the local nurseries and making a decision but for us, this nursery stood out from the rest and it really hasn't disappointed, only exceeded our expectations. The manager is so welcoming and helpful, and the team here are
great and just so caring. Our son has been going since he was 10 months old, we've been so impressed with the activities, stay-and-play events and the nice little touches the nursery put on for the parents as well. The app they communicate with you on is amazing, so easy to use and check in on your child throughout the day whilst they are at nursery, it really gives you peace of mind. We get progress updates on our son and they really are a joy to read and hear all about how well he is learning and developing. All thanks to the wonderful team at The Old School House.

I cannot fault the service and care provided to us by The Old School House Walmley. As an educator myself, I was very particular about where I would send my child. Their approach to learning not only fosters independence but creates a calm environment that I felt comfortable sending my child to when
he started at just 10 months old. They really use the children's interests to further their learning and I have been so impressed at how my child has developed through song since being there.

I really recommend the Old School House Walmley. The staff are really friendly and passionate about their job. I believe that the knowledgeable staff and the extracurricular activities, really helped my daughters advance much more than many of their peers outside of nursery. My eldest daughter
attended the nursery from when it opened and graduated in September. Her experiences have really given her a head start at school to the point where she's one of the top performers in her class. My youngest daughter still attends the nursery and has recently moved up to Badgers (pre-school) and loves the new environment and the staff team. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.
