Our experience so far with Kids Planet Shortwood Lodge has been fantastic. Our daughter took a while to settle in initially, but all the team went above and beyond to help her to adjust and she's now loving it from what we can see. All the staff are great, updating us every pick up on how the day has been and all the key info (sleeps/food etc) and are really encouraging when it comes to the kids development. We'd like to see a few more updates coming through the app, at least one per day would be good (and for it to be submitted during the day so we receive it whilst she's at nursery), but other than that we have no complaints or areas for improvement at the moment.

We could not be happier with kids planet and would recommend to anyone. The manager is lovely and approachable. Our boy has been in the baby room coming up to a year and all the staff have been excellent, caring and go above and beyond. It's been amazing watching him grow and learn so much through the nursery. Nothing is too much for this team of lovely people, keep being amazing!!

My twin boys who are 4 and in pre-school have attended since April 2024 - they adore the setting. All of the staff are kind, helpful and most importantly they acknowledge that whilst the boys are "twins" they are two individual little humans - the boys key workers have got to know their characteristics and what makes each of them feel supported and connected and they run into their peers every morning :) whilst I'm looking forward to the next chapter of school in September I fan only hope they are as happy and feel as safe in this new adventure as are / do at Kids Planet. As a single parent I am also supported by all of the staff and they're always always on hand to "have a chat" and answer any questions or just be another adult ear to listen. Thanks everyone!

My child has been going to this Nursey for 1.5 years , this is a Very friendly and professional child care , the staff are lovely and my daughter likes going in 3 days a week . , the venue is very clean and up to date and have recently had a revamp

My second child started in February 2035 when I went back to work. He's settled in so well, and loves his nursery days. The team there are great with him, and you can tell how comfortable he is with them already. My first also went there until he started school, and he still loves visiting when we pick his little brother up.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at this nursery. The staff are truly exceptional - warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's development and well-being. From day one, they've made our child feel safe, supported, and excited to come in every day. Communication is clear and consistent, and it's obvious that the team is both highly skilled and passionate about what they do. We're so grateful to have found such a nurturing environment. Highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier with this nursery. Not only do my children thrive there I feel like the staff really do care about them. I am quite an anxious mum and I always feel supported and reassured. The needs of my children have always been met and they have always been happy to follow the same routine as we have at home which helped settle my youngest. They are always at the end of the phone and the door is always open if I have any questions. Any concerns I have had have been dealt with and explained straight away. It was a huge decision giving my babies over to strangers and I honestly feel like it's an extension of our family when my children go there. Activities for the children are age appropriate, engaging and fun, and my son has come on leaps and bounds with his confidence and speech. The outside area has changed and developed and they love playing and exploring out there. We really do love it!

My son has attended the Nursery since he was 12 months old. They Nursery has, in the last 12 months, moved over to Kids Planet and we are extremely happy with this move. They appear to have the children and Staff best interests at heart. We firmly believe that happy staff will result in happy children and this is very much the case for Kids Planet. My son will be disappointed to leave for school in September.

We could not be happier with Kids planet Shortwood. The staff really make the school. Each staff member we have been in contact with, in both the baby and the toddler rooms, have been so caring and nurturing to my daughter. I know when she's there, she feels safe and loved. When she comes home in the evening, she will tell us stories about times she maybe was upset or hurt and the staff members comforted her, in the same way I would if she was at home. The facilities are amazing and so focused on play and child development through play. The manager and another specific staff member are so approachable and respond to messages quickly. Thank you all for your support and the important role you play in my daughter's early years.

I moved my daughter from a different nursery to kids planet due to lack of care. As you can imagine this could've been very traumatic for my daughter but it was the complete opposite. Since starting in February she has done nothing but thrive and enjoy nursery. She's excited to go, talks about her day once picked up and has made really strong and close relationships to her key workers, staff members in her room and some beautiful friendships within her class. I couldn't recommend kids planet enough and thank everyone who has made such a negative previous experience such a positive one!

Kind nursery staff, who are all engage kids with lots of fun activities. Children are take outside and to the woods regularly, to build their relationship with nature. They are taught good manners and sharing.

I cannot fault Kids Planet Nursery Shortwood. They have been amazing with my daughter. This is my second child that has attended the setting. The staff are always friendly and professional they are always so informative on how my daughter has got on throughout the day. I know my daughter is safe and is thriving with them.

Our two daughters love Kids Planet Shortwood Lodge - the staff are all amazing and it's a really welcoming space with a massive garden for everyone to play in. We have nothing but positive things to say about it.

We couldn't be happier with Kids Planet Shortwood Lodge. We have been sending our first there since 2021 (when it was a different name) and were delighted to be able to send our second as well. The staff are wonderful - genuinely no complaints!

The team have always gone over and above to support and encourage our child whilst proactively engaging with us as parents to ensure all is being done to allow for growth in a safe, friendly environment. All of the team including the management team are welcoming, approachable and sometimes just there to listen when we have needed it! Our child is adopted and with that comes added trauma and time needed to create social and family bonds. We couldn't have asked for a greater team and engagement to offer the extra care and support needed.

We've had such a wonderful experience with kids planet. From the very first day, the staff have been incredibly kind, nurturing, and attentive-not just to our daughter, but to us as parents too. She absolutely loves going in each morning, and we've seen so much growth in her confidence, communication, and curiosity since starting. It's clear the team genuinely cares about each child and puts a lot of thought into creating a safe, stimulating, and joyful environment. Our daughter has attended nursery since she was a baby, so we have experienced the Baby room, Toddler room, and now preschool. Our daughter loves it here. She is thriving and loves the thoughtful activities set up, especially outdoor play. The staff are excellent. They ensure that the children are developing and nurtured through their play.

As an extremely anxious mum who works alongside ofsted within the social care sector, I held very high expectations for a nursery, not knowing whether I would even feel confident to leave my one-year-old daughter enrolled in a nursery. However, Shortwood Lodge have exceeded all expectations I had in the best way possible! I receive detailed and honest feedback and handovers each and every time I pick my daughter up. I call the nursery four times a day sometimes to see how she is and they always make time to reassure me and let me know how she is doing and in the early days they would even offer for me to settle in the office with management if I was anxious. My daughter has been reaching her goals and thriving all thanks to the baby room at shortwood lodge! My daughter is dairy and soya free and they continue to always ensure they are vigilant. From being an extremely anxious mum, not wanting leave my baby at nursery, I now leave confident and happy knowing my baby is happy there!

The staff at Shortwood Lodge are exceptional and have been so kind, caring and patient with my daughter who can be very nervous. She comes home happy every day copying songs and books that she's learnt. I couldn't be happier with our choice to enrol her here she really has come on leaps and bounds since joining. The managers are so helpful with any request and they put your mind at ease with any queries. Fantastic nursery!
