View Full Details of Wild about PlayOur son just started at Wild about Play about 6 weeks ago and we are so happy with the whole experience. The settling in process went very smoothly, and even though he is only 2 he still has his nap so is still on a good routine. We can tell he us very happy on his 2 days there. He always comes out with a big smile on his face and loves telling us what he's done/who he's seen. The staff are so caring and friendly and have made a big impact on our little boy. And we've met lovely parents too! It seems to be a very nurturing environment and we've noticed our son grow in confidence more even in these last few weeks. It's great he can be somewhere where his curiosity and live if the outdoors is really nurtured.
We sent our 5 year old to WAP summer camp and he seemed to enjoy himself. He particularly liked his exploration of the Putney Common, picking wild berries and using these to make edibles back at the camp. I would very likely send him again next summer.
Without exaggeration, Wild about Play has to be the most amazing Nursery in the world. I can't imagine sending our daughter anywhere else!! Knowing that she's outside, spending so much time learning in a natural environment makes us so happy. Even in the winter, the kids are out playing, getting muddy and doing what they know best; they really learn to adapt and move with the changing seasons. Our daughter adores the teachers. every week, she comes home telling all the new things she has learned; she can't wait to go back after the weekend. I thank God for all the teachers, who really care about the kids and create such a loving space for them to grow and learn.
After looking around many nurseries, this setting felt completely different from the very first moment. My family and I would often see them walking out in Nature and it was evident how happy both the children and staff were. After waiting until our son was three to start, we were unsure how the settling in process would go, he was at ease from the first day and absolutely loved every moment of it. He has learned so much since starting, returning home from his days here happy, inspired and excited to go back. The teachers and management team are truly incredible, so nurturing, wise, engaged and committed to providing the best education and values. The children who attend are a reflection of the provision; connected, driven, creative and full of joy. We cannot recommend Wild about Play highly enough.
