I am really happy with Banana Moon Nursery, Hamilton. Since my son has started, his development and curiosity has increased. He is playing more on his own and has started to eat by himself as well. He likes the staff and always looks forward to going in the morning. He really enjoys the food they
prepare for him.

A fabulous nursery - so caring and nurturing for my 9 month old son. The way that my son is looked after is reassuring as I know he is in great hands. Great activities and nutritious food as well as brilliant staff. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone with little ones.

The staff at Banana Moon Day Nursery have been nothing but welcoming and supportive since I chose the setting for my foster daughter. I feel at ease entering the setting and confident that any problems that may arise will be resolved quickly and professionally. The management team has been nothing
but accommodating and flexible.

As a grandfather, I am deeply concerned about the poor hygiene standards I've witnessed at this nursery. I've seen children with runny noses and dirty hands being left without support from staff, which raises serious concerns about infection control. On one occasion, my grandchild came home with
food-stained hands, suggesting they weren't encouraged or helped to wash after eating - a basic but essential part of care. These are not minor oversights, but repeated lapses in cleanliness and attention. We raised our concerns directly and received written acknowledgment and an apology from the nursery, confirming the issues were valid. While we appreciate the response, it doesn't undo the worry these incidents have caused. Urgent improvements are needed to ensure a clean, safe environment where children are properly cared for and basic hygiene is prioritised.

My daughter started here in April 2025, since then I have noticed how much she has progressed with her communication skills and sharing skills. The staff have been amazing and very helpful with her settling in as she still gets upset at drop off. They have always met her needs and encouraged her to
do new things and make friends with the other children. Since starting the nursery my daughter has tried so many new foods and fruits which she has now took a liking too and asks for them at home.

Overall I am happy with my child attending the nursery and how much he has developed and learnt since being there. The food menu is great and allows my child to try a variety of foods. The staff are fantastic and always so friendly. I have no worries when my child is at nursery.

The nursery is nothing short of fantastic. Staff are attentive and caring to every child who walks through its door. It's a wonderful day care for your child albeit more expensive compared to other nurseries.

Very good nursery especially the staff there are very helpful and collaborate with parents to get the best outcome for their child. The facilities are also good with caring staff who stimulate learning and genuinely care for the children.

Both of our grandchildren have attended this nursery, our eldest for 3 years before starting school, and now our youngest since January. They've both been so happy and well cared for, and we love the updates and photos on the app. We couldn't have wished for a better start for them both!

I'm not too sure if you are aware, but the NHS allergy service waiting lists are extremely long, which is exactly why many parents, including ourselves, choose to go privately. We provided you with a written allergy plan from a private consultant, the Doctor, a recognised allergy specialist. To
claim you did not receive an allergy plan from the NHS is misleading, irrelevant and frankly insulting - an allergy plan is valid medical documentation, whether it comes via the NHS or a private specialist.
What's more concerning is your version of events. You state that medication was given "without delay" when we actually sat in your office and watched the CCTV footage which clearly showed it took over 4 minutes before any medication was administered to our daughter during a serious allergic reaction. That is an unacceptable delay in an emergency situation where every second counts.
Let's also not forget that you yourselves have admitted fault.

Our child's life was put at risk at Banana Moon Hamilton due to repeated failures to follow clear medical instructions regarding a severe allergy. Despite providing documented evidence from a leading consultant, staff still gave the known allergen on multiple occasions. During a serious reaction,
our child was left sitting in vomit and staff delayed administering the prescribed medication for over 4 minutes. This level of neglect is deeply unsafe.
We have reported this to Ofsted and Leicester's LADO service. Worryingly, this nursery has a history of concerns around food and drink, which are noted in official Ofsted reports. We have also shared our experience publicly through a local newspaper article to raise awareness and protect others.
We strongly urge all parents to think very carefully before considering this nursery.

Banana Moon have been amazing with my daughter, she has come on in leaps and bounds with her learning all the staff are so kind and caring always full of smiles and full of enthusiasm when your child walks through the doors, my daughter loves attending Banana Moon she does so many activities enjoys
playing out in the garden and has enjoyed visits out to the park. Staff always have time to speak to you and inform you of your child's day as well as the app which keeps you updated with videos and photos, management have been so caring and understanding and you feel listened to when you talk to them, always there greeting you when you come in and leave the building, My daughter enjoys all the freshly prepared meals that they provide and now she will always try new things! (Food always smells amazing) I feel my daughter is safe here and I have recommended Banana Moon to family and friends.

Since moving our child to Banana Moon Day Nursery she has improved so much! The staff are all amazing, the communication between everyone is always the best it can be. Our child loves being there and gets so excited seeing the staff in her room.

My son has thrived in his behaviour, communication and manners. He's very happy going to nursery and we have seen very positive changes in him. We attended our first event with our son for Christmas dinner, absolutely loved it! Thank you.

My daughter has been at this nursery since March 2024 and we've had a really positive experience since. She started in the baby room and has now moved over to the next room, the transition for this was very smooth to ensure she was comfortable beforehand. She always seems happy when I collect her.
They have an app which tells me what and how much she's eaten and how long she's slept for as well as all the activities she's done with pictures. This is reassuring, as a parent, because I get updates throughout the day. Would recommend this nursery to anyone.
