View Full Details of The Nest NurseryOur daughter settled really quickly into The Nest. The staff are incredibly warm and caring with her and she quickly established a really strong bond with her key workers. Being so close to a large park is brilliant and the children are always out and about (weather permitting!) during the day. The staff are always really quick to reply to any messages and update us regularly each day. There's also a lovely community feel to the nursery with lots of special days and activities for parents to get involved with. There's just the right amount of focus on child development too. Our daughter has definitely come a long way with her speech and motor skills since joining the nursery which I know is something they encourage whilst also allowing plenty of time for just playing. Overall we're so happy we chose The Nest and are excited to see how our daughter grows during her time there.
The Nest is an incredible nursery. All staff who work there are warm, friendly and put the children's needs at the heart of all they do. They prioritise fun, learning and the outdoors and our boys have loved going to nursery!
Don't be put off by the slightly dilapidated building because the kind, warm and friendly staff are what make the Nest such a vibrant learning community. We have always felt confident that our 1yrs daughter is being looked after well.
All the staff at Nursery are warm and kind to the children at Nest. My child goes to nursery excited and happy for his day ahead, there is great care and attention placed on the children's interests with tasks developed with the children in mind. My child has absolutely loved his time so far at the Nest. I have loved that if my child had an interest in trains or planes that morning that by the time I collected him in the evening it would have turned into an activity. He's recently moved to the pre-school room and is thriving, the room is noticeably bigger but the warmth of the staff and their support has enabled a fantastic transition. Being so close to the park is amazing, whilst the outside facilities are limited in the building access to the park more thank makes up for it. My child also attends forest school which for supplementary fee, but it's so worth the money. He thrives being outside, and the staff are incredible!
Our daughter finished at the Nest a couple of years ago and our son still attends now. They both absolutely love it and had no trouble settling in. It is a lovely welcoming environment and the staff go to great lengths to put on a range of activities including day trips out and very regular trips to the park across the road. One of the highlights is the amount of outdoor time they get to experience. The staff are all very pleasant and communicative and it feels like they genuinely take pride in what they are doing. We couldn't recommend it any more.
My daughter has just finished at The Nest after two years as she has started school. We have been incredibly impressed by the commitment and innovation of the staff at the nursery during our time here. The team always comes up with new learning opportunities and events for the children. Outdoor time is frequent and changes with the seasons. At all times we were well informed and felt part of the experience. Our daughter's confidence has improved massively during her time at the nursery.
We have been really pleased with The Nest for our son, who has been attending since 2021. The activities are dynamic and child-centred. The staff are proactive, particularly in taking the children outside, whatever the weather! The focus on literacy and numeracy is fun and targeted, which has helped our son to progress well. Our son has developed close relationships with staff and other children, and we are confident he is ready to start school, thanks to The Nest!
My daughter started this nursery in April for three days a week and she absolutely loves it. She settled in very quickly and loves to go to the nursery. Staff are very friendly. Can I request that, if by any chance, there could be the three wheel cycles for them to ride, would be appreciated?
The staff have been very good with my baby/toddler now and she loves it there, they have accommodated my changes in days and times and they have been very helpful and helped my little one to settle in there nicely. From September she will be in full-time as we can claim the free 30 hours. I can highly recommend this nursery, they helped us also with speech therapy, thank you.
My daughter has been at The Nest Nursery since April 2021. She thoroughly enjoys going to The Nest and has developed excellent relationships with both staff and fellow pupils. She continues to grow and develop with the help and support of the staff at The Nest. I cannot speak highly enough of The Nest Nursery and have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow parents.
My daughter has attended The Nest Nursery from the age of 10 months and she really enjoys going there and runs in with a massive smile on her face. Due to the pandemic, she struggled with her confidence from an early age and the staff at The Nest put a lot of effort and care into helping her develop into the bubbly and bright toddler she is today. We love the variety of opportunities that are available for her e.g., regular trips to the park, forest schools and drama groups. The staff are lovely and friendly and my daughter feels safe and happy with them due to their kind and caring nature. As a parent I have always felt supported in any decisions regarding my daughter such as potty training/naps/bottle feeds. I would definitely recommend sending your child here.
We have been sending my daughter to the Nest since 2019 and have been very happy. There have been lots of improvements since the new management took over (e.g online communication). The outside space is a bit limited but they are always in the local park, which makes up for it. the staff are very approachable and willing to help. Fees are good value, especially after three, when they are flexible with how you use the funding from the government. Our daughter enjoys her days there, has great relationships with other children and staff and she is happy.
My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was six months old, just as the lockdown started, she is now three. I have always found the nursery to be accommodating, friendly and supportive. The current management has introduced a number of new things and they have always sought views and feedback from families, which I value. Approaching them is never a problem, the staff always make time to talk and listen. I know my daughter enjoys her time at nursery as she is happy when I collect her, despite her being a homebody who would choose to stay with us if she could! Staff at the setting have always been incredibly supportive. Whilst the garden/outdoor space at the nursery is quite small they make fantastic use of the local parks visiting daily if weather permits.
