A fantastic nursery and pre-school with caring and attentive staff, varied food, excellent communication with parents, all in a beautiful woodland setting which the children frequently explore all year round.

My child started Barley Wood nursery shortly after his 2nd birthday and had a really rocky start. He was welcomed beautifully by the staff but he was a nervous toddler who struggled with his separation anxiety and took a long time to settle.
The nursery was fantastic with him! Introduced nurture
packs where he had strategies such as timelines for the day, boxes for his special comfort toys from home and regular updates from the staff on the days where he really struggled to even enter nursery! This was all reassuring information to get as a parent. We had regular meetings to discuss his nurture plan and now we are thriving!
He now looks forward to nursery. He has made friends who he talks about at home and really enjoys spending so much time outside exploring. We are no longer on a nurture plan and this is all due to the hard work and dedication from all the staff at Barley wood. Would highly recommend to any parent considering a nursery setting for their child.

Both my children have had a wonderful experience at Barleywood. The staff are so nurturing and kind, and the children spend so much of their time outside in the most beautiful environment.

Our little one has flourished at BarleyWood in such a short time. Even at just one year old, she has been encouraged to explore, play, and engage with the world around her in such a safe and nurturing environment. Every day she comes home happy and full of excitement from the adventures she's had
outdoors and the new things she's experienced.
The staff are incredibly caring and attentive, always supporting her development while allowing her to discover at her own pace. It's amazing to watch her curiosity, confidence, and joy grow so quickly. We feel so grateful for the loving and inspiring environment Barley Wood provides for our little one.

We're really happy with the care our two toddlers receive at this nursery. The staff are kind, patient, and clearly care about the children. Both of our toddlers have settled in so well and are always happy to go in, which says a lot. There's a great range of activities each day, and we've noticed
real progress in their confidence, communication, and social skills. The nursery feels safe, welcoming, and well organised, and the staff keep us well informed. We feel very comfortable leaving our children here and would happily recommend the nursery to other parents.

Barley wood is such a special place for children and the staff go above and beyond. All three of my children have attended and we wouldn't choose anywhere else.
The outside space available is outstanding; from visiting the fishpond, to the cows or exploring the woods there is so much to do!
The
care provided is exceptional, nothing is too much trouble and children's have a wonderful time when there with lots of activities and experiences.
Additionally they were able to support daughter number two with her 1:1 medical needs to a high standard, with excellent communication and dedication to all the training required.

Both my daughters have been to barley wood and love it. The staff are incredible & take such good care of the children, helping them develop in every area. Both my children are always excited to go and sometimes are gutted when they have to go home because they love it there so much.

Barley Wood is an excellent nursery, my daughter has been attending for over a year now and has grown so much in confidence since starting. The staff are wonderful and so good with her, it is clear she is very happy whilst at nursery. I would highly recommend this nursery to others.

My daughter is having a lovely time at Barleywood Nursery, and is very fond of the workers in the Rabbits room (the youngest age group there). The members of staff that I have interacted with have all been very pleasant and helpful to deal with, and are very invested in helping the children in their
care settle in. My daughter took a long time to settle in as she is not there every day, but everyone has been very understanding, patient and accommodating. I would recommend Barleywood to anyone looking for a nursery locally.

We have had such a wonderful experience with Barley Wood .Our son attended for several years and absolutely thrived. He grew in confidence, made lovely friendships, and was always excited to go in each morning. The team supported him brilliantly through every stage, and the transition to school was
so smooth thanks to the strong foundation they helped build.
Now our daughter has just started in Rabbits, and we already feel completely reassured. The team has been incredibly caring and attentive, taking the time to get to know her personality and despite a few tears initially, helping her settle in beautifully. It's clear how much they genuinely care for the children, and the communication with parents is always excellent.
We feel very grateful to have found a nursery that is consistent, nurturing, and truly dedicated to the children's wellbeing and development. I would highly recommend.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery for just a month, and although she was a little unsettled at first, we've already seen such a positive change. The team have been really warm and supportive, helping her to feel comfortable at her own pace. She's now going in much happier and seems to be
enjoying her days more and more. We're grateful for the gentle care and reassurance they've given her during this big transition.

I honestly can't thank this nursery enough for what they've done and continue to do for my son. From the moment he started, it felt like everything finally clicked for him. The outdoor space is one of the things I love most about the setting-he absolutely thrives when he's outside, and seeing him so
free, happy, and himself in that environment makes mine and his day.
I was a little concerned about his speech but since joining he has come on leaps and bounds and I'm no longer concerned.
He's not always the easiest character, and I know he can be a real handful at times, but the way the staff handle him is amazing.
The excitement he shows to be going to nursery is priceless. The way he runs in with a smile, tells me everything I need to know. This nursery has given him confidence, joy, and a place where he truly belongs. I'm so grateful to the entire team for the love and care they show him. I can go about my day knowing he's in safe hands.

My son attends Barley Wood and I feel very lucky to have found this place as he settled so well and I believe that is largely down to the caring, kind and friendly team at Barley Wood. One of the key other reasons we chose this nursery was due to the grounds and I love knowing my son has been
outside exploring for much of the day. The staff are very dedicated and passionate about children's development and happiness.

Our two children, currently four and 18 months, both attend Barley Wood Nursery. It is located in a beautiful setting with various gardens, woodland and spacious rooms for activities. Our children have a great time at this nursery and have bonded well with the staff. The staff are fantastic with the
children and encourage really varied activities. The management are very welcoming and well organised. We feel very comfortable and happy with Barley Wood and would definitely recommend it!

My son had a short-term placement at Barley Wood in September. The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and my son absolutely loved it. Perfect place for being active and outdoor adventures. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Both my children attended Barley Wood Nursery from babies and have been extremely well cared for. There has been excellent communication with staff. They have always listened to my needs and supported us as a family. My son found settling into nursery difficult and had a few struggles throughout
his time there, the staff really understood him and ensured he was supported well within this environment. As my children move on to school and pre-school they are both going to miss their time at Barley Wood Nursery. As a family we are grateful for the love and care our children have been given, they have helped our children grow into the great little people they are now and will be in the future. Thank you to all at Barley Wood, you do an incredible job!

From the moment our daughter joined, we've been impressed by the excellent communication. The staff provide daily pictures and updates that put our minds at ease and show exactly what she's been up to, like feeding the cows or enjoying time in the fresh air.
Our daughter, initially struggled to
settle but thanks to the supportive and attentive team, she has come on leaps and bounds. The nurturing care, exceptional outdoor space and activities have really helped her grow in confidence.
We've seen such wonderful progress in her, emotionally, socially and developmentally.

Staff who very clearly care about the children and take their roles seriously as professionals. They also listen to feedback from parents, inviting input and keeping us informed. They encourage the children to develop their skills and explore their interests. We've noticed a big improvement in our
child's social skills since joining. The nursery itself is set in a beautiful building and outdoor space where nature is explored and the kids are allowed to get messy to make the most of it. Cannot recommend Barley Wood Nursery enough.

We send our two year old boy to Barley Wood and I could not be happier with the nursery, staff or the setting, its absolutely brilliant, he is so happy and really comes home full of the joys! The outside space is second to none and the staff are all wonderful and caring. I have no hesitation in

My daughter has been with this nursery for the past three years, and I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough. The team have been consistently caring, nurturing and supportive, especially as my daughter can be quite reserved at times.
They've created a safe and encouraging environment where
she's been able to grow in confidence, and I've always felt reassured knowing she's in such good hands. The staff have also been incredibly understanding and patient during those occasional difficult drop-offs, which has made all the difference.
A fantastic nursery with a genuinely dedicated team! I'm so grateful for everything they've done for our family.
