My child attends preschool and since starting he has grown exponentially in his maths and English as well as his social skills and confidence. He really enjoys going and often doesn't want to leave when I pick him up. Communication with the nursery is also excellent, and they have been very
accommodating when I've needed to change session times.

The staff at Mama Bears, The Bush really care about the children they look after, and I feel that they show genuine interest in the development of our daughter. We appreciate the updates they provide throughout the day via the app, including the specific areas of development which they are focusing
on. The staff are always kind and caring towards the children.

My child started in the baby room in July 2025 when my partner returned to work. The settling process was well managed and staff supported me throughout. Any concerns I've raised have been addressed promptly. Recently, drop-offs have been hard and she's been upset, which is difficult as a parent.
However, the staff are always kind, reassuring and supportive, which really puts my mind at ease. I feel confident she is in safe, caring hands. The room lead and deputy manager has been particularly wonderful. She has had two key people since starting and the transition was handled smoothly. She now has a lovely bond with her new key person and is clearly very happy. Handovers are positive and reassuring. Overall, I'm very happy with the setting and would happily recommend it to other parents.

We're so pleased our little one is at Mama Bear's! The staff are all lovely - they genuinely seem to enjoy working there, and have all been so wonderful settling her in at the nursery. She absolutely adores going to Mama Bear's, and we really like the communication and updates that are sent each day
she is there.

My little one started in the baby room at 10.5 months old after finding another childcare setting very difficult. She has always loved being at Mama Bears, and gets very excited about attending each time. The staff are really lovely and communication has always been very good. Management has always
been very helpful and easy to talk to.

My son has been at Mama Bear's Day Nursery since he was 7 months old and absolutely loves going to nursery! He's well looked after and is thriving in all areas, socially, educationally and emotionally. The only downside is the lack of care arrangements from 5-6pm due to staff shortages which means
little consistency with key practitioners. That said, I appreciate that this is an issue that cuts across the industry. The management is great, proactive and friendly. Thank you team Mama Bears!

My child has been coming to the nursery for 1 year.
She loves to come and is always happy at drop off and pick up.
The staff are wonderful, and Hannah feels safe and happy at all times.
Communication is excellent. An online portal is always updated, so we can see what she is up to.
We are
extremely happy with the level of care and will definitely recommend it!

We are very happy with the attention and amount of creative activities they do throughout the day, and they keep us updated through the app which is useful. Our daughter is very happy there and she is very comfortable with the members of the staff and the other kids. The early 5 pm is a challenge
some days so we are hoping they find the extra staff they need to cover a later pick-up.

My daughter only started a few weeks ago but I can see she enjoys it when she is at the nursery. Love that they also have an outside play area and inside plenty of facilities for kids. Staff including the manager are really friendly, helpful and attentive.

I am extremely impressed with this nursery and feel confident leaving my daughter there. She started when she was 8 months old and her development since being at this nursery has been remarkable. She comes home speaking sign language, singing new songs, talking about new books she has read and her
speech has developed massively. It is clear the nursery workers are all trained to industry standards and they are all genuinely lovely and are really invested in my daughter's development. We get daily updates on the app so we can see what she has been up to. My daughter has specific dietary requirements and the nursery has been fantastic and so thorough in ensuring she is catered for appropriately. Communication is great between the nursery and parents and as a parent I feel confident my daughter is safe, developing well and generally having a really fun, happy time at this nursery.

We are overall very happy with the nursery. The staff and caring and friendly. I get regular updates about my child's progress and love receiving photos every day. The nursery provides a range of activities to suit my child.
Unfortunately, the nursery has been limiting the hours we originally
signed up for due to staffing- this has made juggling work and nursery care very tricky for the last few months and it is affecting our work-life balance as work is having to be done on a weekend to make up for missed hours.
Our child's name is sometimes spelt incorrectly on their work and personal things they bring home.

My daughter enjoys going to nursery and has been very well looked after. Staff turnover and lack of provision from 5-6 pm due to lack of staff have however been an issue. No other issues with the nursery, staff are friendly and competent.

Having started our son at the age of 8 months, we were initially very apprehensive about the return to work and imminent nursery enrolment. That said, the Totterdown Mama Bears team could not have been more supportive and kind in easing any worries or apprehensions we had. The kindness of the baby
room staff and nursery manager has been amazing in making our little boy feel happy and at ease. The facilities are great and the daily access to the outdoor and soft play area is really special. Big thank you to the team.

All three of our children have gone to/go to Mama Bear's Day Nursery & Pre-School (Totterdown). The staff are helpful, attentive, know our children well, communicate well with us throughout the day and outside of nursery hours if necessary and they provide a wealth of information and resources. The industry is under so much pressure which obviously presents challenges to the nursery with staff turnover etc. but all in all, I’m

Our child started at Mama Bear's in 2023. We thought they were happy at their last nursery but it’s nothing to how content they are at Mama Bear's.
The staff have got to know them really well and it feels like they have developed a real bond. The updates we get clearly reflect they know them well
i.e. we don’t feel like we’re hearing/reading something generic, it’s our child who doesn’t eat pizza!
The staff are so friendly, we really trust them. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, which works for us, and they seem to be led by the child. Again, works for us.
Our child is happy every night we pick up and has come on leaps and bounds since starting in terms of skills and confidence.

We have had a very positive experience here - the staff are attentive and caring and the administrative side is organised and efficient. Our child has thrived and he comes home every day with a new story about something he has learned that day.

The staff at Mama Bear’s Day Nursery are professional, friendly, kind and great with kids. The nursery is really well run with a personal feel. It's extremely hard to find a nursery this good especially in a city!

My three year old is thriving at this nursery. She's been attending since late 2021 and moved from babies to bouncies and is now in preschool. Her vocabulary has expanded, her learning astonishes me and she's so well-socialised with other children and adults. The staff are amazing and go above and
