View Full Details of Little Elms Daycare Nursery SydenhamWe've had a generally positive experience with the nursery. The staff are absolutely lovely - caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's wellbeing. They've been incredibly supportive in helping our son with his developmental needs and limitations, and we've seen real progress thanks to their dedication. It's clear that he feels safe and happy there, and he seems to really love everyone he interacts with. That said, there are a few aspects that could use improvement. The payment policy is a bit of a concern - the fees are quite high compared to what is offered, particularly considering the number of children in the pre-school class. The space feels a bit stretched for the size of the group. Also the fees for pre schoolers in August, the kids are leaving, the policy really doesn't help the families. Staff turnover has also been quite noticeable in the past two years. Hard to built stable connections with children key workers.
My son has had an amazing two years in the nursery. Staff and management are friendly and welcoming my son loves this nursery and they have helped him so much with the upcoming transition to primary school. Amazing nursery!
A Wonderful Nursery Experience! We couldn't be happier with our experience at Little Elms Nursery. From the moment we joined, we've felt truly welcomed and supported. The teachers are warm, attentive, and genuinely care about each child's development and happiness. Our child has blossomed in confidence, communication, and curiosity thanks to their thoughtful approach and nurturing environment. A special thank you to the management team - their professionalism, transparency, and clear communication have made such a difference. They go above and beyond to ensure that everything runs smoothly, and their dedication shines through in every detail, from the cleanliness and safety of the setting to the engaging curriculum and activities. Little Elms really feels like a second home, and we are so grateful to be part of such a caring and committed community. Highly recommend to any parents.
Little Elms have shown themselves to be a confident nursery to care for my child. They are efficient and respond promptly to all requests issues and concerns. My son has thrived since starting here and his character has grown in a positive way. The staff are consistently pleasant, polite and kind which leaves me reassured. I would recommend Little Elms to other families. Our experience so far has been really positive.
My son left the nursery earlier this year to start primary school and I can honestly say Little Elms set him up for a smooth transition. He spent 4 years learning but having fun at this nursery, and now it’s my daughter’s turn. She started this year just before she turned 1 and she is loving it. We look forward to the next four years with Little Elms.
My child has grown in confidence and built good relationships with the staff who are kind and attentive. He always comes home tired and content. The staff do a good job of communicating what happens through the day and how he is getting on.
My daughter has really enjoyed her time at Little Elms Sydenham. I was so worried about her speech when she first joined and after 2/3 months of being there, she had progressed so much. The staff are always there and ready to answer all the million questions I have for them. I love the app and how I can see what she’s up to during the day, makes me feel like I’m there with her. Lovely setting and a homely feel, will really miss everything about them when the little one goes off to reception.
Very happy with the care of our little one! Lovely staff and management! She has settled in nicely!
My little boy has thrived since starting Little Elms at 14 months old, his speech and understanding have come a long way. Such friendly staff and really comforting to be able to keep up to date with his activities throughout the day.
We’re really happy we chose Little Elms Sydenham for our little girl. She started when she was 10 months old and I was so worried about leaving her (mum guilt) but the staff are so kind and caring and she quickly built up a relationship with them. She smiles and reaches out for them when we drop her off in the morning which is so reassuring. My little girl has lots of allergies and they have handled it really well providing alternatives at no extra charge including oat milk and soya yoghurt etc. The staff always take the time to tell us how her day has been and phone straight away if there’s anything you need to know. Communication from the nursery is great via the app. They put on lots of lovely events like a Mother’s Day afternoon tea and celebrate all the different religious and cultural events in the calendar which is great to see. Overall a lovely nursery.
It was my sons first time going to nursery he is 2 years old. He was very shy at first but with the help of all the amazing staff he is now going to Nursery smiling and thriving to be there. The staff are great as they are always making sure every child is happy and safe playing.
Neglect! I was appalled with my interactions with the Operations Manager, who was completely inconsiderate and has made my overall experience of the nursery appalling. My baby was returned to me with a raw bottom, there was literally no skin on part of his bottom so he was understandably in pain. I obviously complained to the Nursery and informed them that I would like to cancel my request I had previously made to increase his hours given the situation. To my astonishment, I was told that although the increased hours had not started they would still happen as I needed to give a month's notice. I thought that given the condition of my baby they would at least try to help rectify the situation by listening to my request. On top of that, I was overcharged for a month and forced to pay this although my baby did not attend nursery as they had requested. Overall the staff in the nursery are pleasant but be warned that if you have any problems you will get no help.
Since my daughter started Little Elms, she has blossomed. They really take the time to make the children's journey with them, as fun and as educational as possible. Her face lights up when she sees the staff, she constantly speaks about her time at nursery and can't wait to go back. They have supported her through toilet training and are happy to work with you through anything that may arise. Highly recommended!
Little Elms day is a fantastic nursery. My son has been going for over a year and he loves it. He has learnt so much and is speaking so well. His key worker is brilliant and my son adores her. The staff are excellent and always helpful, I can't fault the nursery at all! I would definitely recommend it.
I can't rate this nursery highly enough. Due to moving home and a change of circumstances, I managed to get both my girls a place in this nursery a week before Christmas of 2021, due to their other one closing down. Things happen for a reason, as my girls are super happier here, can tell the difference. They come home talking about their day and tired ready for bed. All the staff are hands-on and everyone knows everyone's name. My youngest wears hearing aids and all the staff are keen to learn how to deal with that. Also, they allow her support teacher to visit. There's been no issues. My eldest has now left and had a fabulous graduation send-off. Small, but great nursery.
The nursery is such a great environment for children, the staff are very attentive and the management help with every little need or concern you may have as a parent. Overall I'm very happy and satisfied for my child to be here.
It never ceases to impress me that virtually every member of staff including those in the kitchen recognise my daughter and know her name. The staff had concerns about my daughters wellbeing at one stage and I have to say it was handled with the upmost professionalism. I know that when I drop my daughter off and I know that she’s completely safe and she’s being looked after by people who really care deeply about her well-being. Couldn’t recommend the nursery highly enough.
We have two girls there who are/have been very happy at the nursery which is the most important thing for us! No place is perfect and there had been issues with management in the past which did seem to really affect staff morale. However, this has since been resolved and it has had such a positive impact on the nursery-both in terms of communication and how the different rooms are managed. The girls adore the staff and have created very special bonds, particularly with their key workers. Children are cared for and stimulated with lots of fun activities. Highly recommended!
I cannot recommend Little Elms Day Care Nursery highly enough. Our daughter started a few months ago and settled in brilliantly. She is so excited about going each morning and runs through the door without a second thought. She comes home singing songs and doing dances she’s learnt. She is quite shy and has grown in confidence and has developed new skills really quickly by spending time with the other children and the amazing key workers. I would definitely recommend!
Both my children have attended Little Elms with my youngest just moving into preschool which he is loving, environment and staff are great very welcoming. New management team work well together very welcoming and their door is always open.
