Our son joined Barfield in September and we couldn't be happier, when we went to view the nursery we instantly knew that it was the right place for our son. All of the nursery team are so caring, kind and patient and the manager is just amazing, she is so passionate in creating the best environment
for the children and you are met with such a sense of genuine care everyday. The opportunities that the children have at the school are wonderful with new activities and exciting days planned nearly every week and they get to play outside within the impressive grounds daily. We are so happy with our experience so far and are looking forward to the years ahead at Barfield.

The staff at Barfield are so supportive (of both parents and children), experienced and attentive. Their energy and enthusiasm is a joy to see, and I feel so grateful that my child is experiencing this fabulous start to their education.

Our son has recently started at Barfield. Our experience has been wonderful so far, the parents' community has also been very welcoming. He loves it there (even though we still have some tears). The grounds are very impressive and I'm sure that he will thrive at Barfield in years to come. The admin
staff & Hatchlings team are wonderful! The whole school has a near community feel to it.

Our first visit was in december and we loved the place. The primises are amazing and the staff was very nice to us showing all around. taking with the headmaster was very pleasent and was what ended up for us deciding to send my daughter there

Our son joined Barfield in September 2025 after we made the decision to move him from a different nursery. We have found Barfield to be exceptional and couldn't be more positive about it if we tried. Our son's speech has improved massively and he will literally run in in the mornings. The children
and staff seem happy to be there, the outdoor space is incredible and it fosters a very nurturing and proactive environment (where staff are clearly looking out for issues with children's health and development). We've been particularly impressed with the staff who are all brilliant. The Nursery Lead is very impressive and her skills and training shine through. All staff are incredibly approachable and kind and we couldn't be happier with our experience so far.

Our 2 children have attended Barfield nursery since age 2. The elder (a boy) has just moved to reception having completed 3 years, and the younger (a girl) is in her 3rd year of nursery.
We have been very happy with the Barfield nursery - the deputy manager and her team have given our children a
fantastic start in life!
Steven had tried 3 other nurseries locally before we found Barfield - and he was bored in all 3 of them and hated them.
Barfield gave his days structure and he took to the school instantly. The staff are phenomenally caring and really encourage the children - both in learning and play.
We cannot recommend Barfield nursery highly enough.

We have two children who have attended nursery at Barfield for the past three years. It really is the most wonderful, friendly and supportive environment for the children. The staff make you feel like you are part of a family and the activities including outdoor learning, music, swimming and ballet,
provide exceptional opportunities for the children to learn new skills and thrive. I particularly love the amount of outdoor space available to the children, which is unusual for a nursery. We couldn't be happier with the quality of care and nurturing they provide.

Our daughter joined Barfield in April with our need for an all-year-round nursery. Some would say quite daunting for a 3-year-old, but the nursery staff, room leads, and amazing manager made sure the transition was as smooth as possible with an abundance of support throughout. The variety of the
timetable is just great, swimming, French, Music, PE, outdoor play to name a few, and the focus on special relevant topics gets talked about a lot on our journey home. I am also told how yummy the food is! A wonderful nursery/Pre-school through and through.

We couldn't be happier with the care our two children have received at Barfield nursery. Both boys started when they turned two and all staff have been incredibly warm, nurturing, and supported them. What really stood out was how quickly all staff (from across the nursery) knew each of them and
formed a relationship.
The nursery has an incredible way of teaching and developing the children in such a way they just think it is fun. Trips to library's, forest adventures, swimming, it's an incredible week for a little one.
When there have been weeks where they have a wobbly at drop off, a message to show them happily playing really shows the way they go above and beyond. The communications excellent and they truly care. I could not recommend Barfield or the room lead enough. We decided to keep the boys in the school because of the nursery experience.

The room lead and the crew are the best out there. Couldn't recommend them enough. They are always available to help and have made our tricky-to-feed 2 year old eat healthy food. Our daughter loves it there and so do we.

You're kept informed and involved at every step, with updates that reflect not just what your child is doing, but how they're growing. It's clear that the team takes pride in building strong relationships with families. We are very impressed with everything that Barfield has to offer.

The nursery at Barfield is wonderful. Our child has gone from strength to strength as a result. The classroom is fun and stimulating. The children benefit from a full week of swimming, music, library use, French and outdoor activity which is superb. The teaching staff are exceptional.

We could not be happier with our experience at Barfield. From the very beginning, the manager, has been outstanding. She is warm, approachable, and truly dedicated to creating the best possible environment for the children. Her nurturing leadership shines through in the high standards of care and
the strong relationships between staff and families. The facilities are excellent, offering a safe, engaging, and stimulating space where children can thrive. The learning schedule is broad and exciting, with opportunities such as swimming, French, PE, and outdoor learning, making each day both fun and enriching. Our son is genuinely happy here and has built strong, trusting relationships with the staff. His developmental progress under their care has been remarkable, not only academically, but socially and emotionally too. Barfield offers an excellent standard of care and education, and we feel so fortunate to have found it. Highly recommended

Our first child finished at the nursery 2 years ago and our second is current there. I can honestly say that it is the most wonderful place. With Teddy, we had tried three Farnham nurseries before ending up at Barfield and it is leagues ahead of the rest in our experience.
The staff are just
amazing, totally different to the level of attentiveness we found in other places. The school is delightful, the facilities are great and the ethos the teachers have, and look to impart in the kids, is second to none.
I have recommended to friends and family and my brothers kids also go there and my best friends. 10/10!
A special mention to the room lead who has played a huge part in both my kids young lives - the whole team are amazing and she is the glue that holds it all together! Thank you!

Barfield is a wonderful nursery. Our son has only been attending for a month, but he has already formed such a close bond with all of his teachers. The team are incredibly nurturing and have been really helpful with the transition to daycare.
There is a real family atmosphere at the school and the
nursery staff always take the time to update us on our child's progress at the end of each day. We're often invited to look around the classroom to see photos of what the children have been up to or projects they have been working on.
The variety of activities offered at Barfield and the level of organisation is outstanding. As well as music, swimming and PE lessons, the children draw, paint, bake, read, sing and spend plenty of time outdoors in nature.
We visited several nurseries in the local area before making our decision, and Barfield by far outshone the other options for daycare.

This is an excellent nursery connected to a private school. The staff are wonderfully caring and always put the children's needs first. I was initially worried about my daughter's transition into a larger classroom, but the team made the process incredibly smooth. They arranged around ten induction
days in her new classroom with her future teachers, which meant she felt completely comfortable and confident when the time came to move up. The facilities are also excellent and lots of outdoor learning. They have swimming classes onsite every week, ballet and even started learning french. Can't recommend enough.

Barfield is an incredible nursery and school. They have done so many amazing things for our daughter with regard to her development. She has such lovely bonds with all the staff and other children. It’s a wonderful thing to see her go in so happily every day. They are so caring, creative,
professional and nurturing, and we particularly love how much time the children spend outdoors. We’re so happy we chose Barfield for our daughter.

Barfield School Nursery is an excellent all-round childcare provider. Our daughter is challenged, fulfilled, well cared for and thoroughly exhausted at the end of each day! In a very short period of time, her development has accelerated which is great to see. I would recommend Barfield School

Barfield School Nursery is excellent. It is a very nurturing environment for the children and the teaching staff take special care to ensure that each child's needs are catered for. I particularly like the fact that the nursery is integrated into the main school meaning that they are able to mix
with other children and learn from them. The range of activities available is fantastic, swimming, music, forest school, cooking etc.
