We couldn't be happier with the care and support our son has received at Bardykes. From the very beginning, the staff have created a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where he has felt safe, valued, and encouraged to grow. The team are genuinely caring and attentive, taking the time to get
to know each child as an individual. A special mention to Maxine, who has been fantastic with our son. Her kindness, patience, and support have made a real difference, and it's clear how much she cares about the children. We're so grateful for the nurturing and engaging environment the team create. It's lovely to see how happy our son is there each day. The outdoor-based environment has been perfect for our son. He loves spending time outside exploring, playing, and helping to look after the animals - something truly unique that has really boosted his confidence and enjoyment of learning.

Our soon has attended Bardykes since June last year and the staff has been absolutely amazing at helping him to settle in. Everyone is so warm & welcoming and he now loves going to nursery and has made lovely connections with the staff. They have all went above & beyond to make sure he was happy,
and even done a home visit in the early stages when separation from me was an issue. He now can't wait to go and we are provided with such lengthy & in-depth feedback of the things he's learning and working towards. The daily updates are so reassuring and we really would recommend Bardykes to anyone!

We couldn't be happier with Bardykes. Our two-year-old absolutely loves it there, and it's been wonderful to see how much she has grown in confidence. The learning opportunities are fantastic - from hands-on experiences on the farm to creative play and exploration, every day seems to bring something
new and exciting for her to discover. Her time on the farm has been truly invaluable, giving her a real connection to nature and helping her develop independence and a love of learning at such a young age.
The staff are incredible - always so approachable, warm, and genuinely nurturing. They clearly care deeply about each child and make the effort to really get to know them as individuals, which gives us huge peace of mind as parents. It's also reassuring to know that the nursery aligns with the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, supporting children's development in a well-rounded and meaningful way.
It's a unique and inspiring environment and I honestly cannot recommend Bardykes more.

Our son has attended the nursery 2 days a week since his 2nd birthday. He is now 4 and thriving. The outdoor learning experience and hands on experience with different animals has given him so much confidence. He absolutely loves nursery.
They check in formally every 6 months with a report, a chat
and discuss milestones reached and the next steps. I have never found it a hassle when speaking to them. They know our boy well and I feel at ease leaving him in their care. Staff are fab, and go above and beyond. I wouldn't have any reservations recommending!

Bardykes Farm Nursery School has given our daughter an experience she could never get elsewhere. The outdoor facilities are fantastic, especially the farm area with its animals and the open fields the children can freely explore. She thrives outdoors, learning through play and real-life experiences
that have helped her grow in confidence and independence and we know her early years have been shaped in such a positive way because of the environment and the people here.
We've built a wonderful relationship with the staff, especially her key worker, with whom we share an open and honest dialogue about any concerns, big or small. Our daughter's needs have always been met with care and understanding, and we know we'll be sad to see her move on to school after the summer because Bardykes has been such a special place for her.
We're grateful for everything Bardykes has done for her and look forward to continuing our journey when our son - and eventually our new baby - join the nursery too.

Bardykes is an incredible nursery, they have made the transition back to work seem less by creating a warm and nurturing environment that my one year old is desperate to attend. All staff are hardworking and friendly but the staff in the baby room have helped to develop my daughter's speech and
social skills in such a short space of time. The focus on outdoor play and learning is so important to us and it is amazing to see the joy she find in visiting the animals and exploring her surroundings.
I cannot recommend the nursery enough and feel very happy with our choice.

Bardykes nursery is absolutely outstanding. The facilities, values, staff, approach to learning, and culture are incredible and what you could only wish for as a parent sending your child to be cared for by someone else. They foster such a nurturing and loving environment, enabling children to
explore and express themselves safely and confidently. They treat all the children as individuals and understand the specific needs of a. Child vary from one to another. I cannot explain the difference we can see in our son after moving him from a previous establishment to Bardykes. His confidence, ability to build friendships, happiness and curiosity have excelled whilst being a student at Bardykes and the whole family notice a massive difference. He is so much more confident around animals and the outdoor space gives him the ability to explore more than any other childcare setting I could think of. Thank you for everything Bardykes team! I don't know where we would be without you!!

Great nursery with amazing outdoor space. Lots of different learning experiences that you can't get at a standard nursery. Particularly love the learning provided about farming, animals, and nature. Highly recommend, both my children love it.

This nursery has it all. Kids learn so much from absolutely everything : looking after the animals which means feeding them, petting them, brush their hair, etc; real life experiences such as planting and gardening, use of real tools, cooking, visiting elderly and share with them quality time, calm
down time where they learn how to breath and transform their hyperactivity in a more calm emotion. They are absolutely brilliant. My daughter loves her pals and all the staff who are extremely polite. She gets home everyday super dirty that just means she had the best time ever.
We will miss the nursery once my daughter goes to school later this year.
For now we enjoy every single time we go.

Bardykes is a great outdoor learning environment.
My son has been attending since he was a baby, he's now 2.5years old and still loves it.
Kids rarely, if ever, I get bugs at nursery and cause it's fantastic for their immune system.
They get daily animal and outdoor experiences that other kids
rarely get.

Our son has been going to Bardykes Farm Nursery School since summer last year and it's safe to say it's one of the best decisions we've made. You really don't get many nursery experiences like Bardykes. The children are able to learn skills via looking after animals and being in nature. It's the
kind of thing you just don't get from being in a room all day. The staff also put on excellent events throughout the year that make it really special. Our son has made his first best friend here and loves the staff who take such care.

My son has attended since he was 2 years old and he absolutely loves his time there. He has come on leaps and bounds with his learning and wouldn’t think of a better place to send him. Being able to drop him off and know that he is safe with fantastic staff makes my day much easier!

Our son's development has grown massively since attending this nursery. Management and staff are always friendly and helpful.
The 'pets' that they help care for have developed a love of animals within our son, especially tortoises and horses.

Our son has been attending Bardykes Farm Nursery School since July 2023. We have had a very positive experience. The staff are nurturing, child-centred and passionate about what they do. They were responsive to provide extra support following a bereavement. The children have quality learning
experiences with a good balance of child and adult-led activities, from attending to the animals on the farm to exploring the secret garden and learning songs for the nativity! The children get a quality nutritious afternoon snack which they help prepare. We would highly recommend this nursery to anyone!

Our wee boy started at Bardykes Farm Nursery School when he was 2 and a 1/2. We were having issues with his speech and concerns he may have autism and a health visitor recommended getting him into nursery as soon as possible. We looked at local nurseries and just seeing all the open space and
discussing our concerns, we felt this was the right place for him to attend. Not going to lie, it took him quite some time to adjust to going in but he would settle quickly and always seemed to have so much fun. His confidence and speech have improved so much and now at drop-off, I’m lucky to even get a goodbye. The staff are great and there are always daily updates on the kids learning journal so you always know what they have been up to. They say a messy child is a happy child and our son definitely seems very happy at Bardykes.

My daughter started the nursery a year and a half ago and my little boy has just started last month. The two of them love the nursery and their teachers. The children get to participate in lots of activities that they enjoy and I love that they get to help take care of the animals as well as learn
all about nature.
The staff at the nursery are all fantastic and I feel like they all really make an effort to get to know the children. My two love all the teachers! I would definitely recommend Bardykes Farm Nursery School to others. I’m glad that my friend recommended it to me!
