I would rate this nursery as outstanding for many reasons. My daughter attends the kid’s club during the holidays and she absolutely adores going. The level of care and attention the children receive is of a really high standard, the activities are varied and fun and the provision offered is superb as they are immersed in such creative and wonderful surroundings. I would recommend Songbirds to anyone wanting first-rate care in a safe and amazing environment.

Absolutely love the setting, couldn't have picked a better nursery for my daughter. Weekly visits to the local children's sensory room, which my daughter loves. Updates daily via the app, while working, put first-time parents at ease. My daughter absolutely loves the staff. The home-from-home setting is what appealed to us while looking at nurseries. Friendly and caring staff.

Since my little boy started Songbirds in 2021 he has come on so much, he has gone from saying very little words to being able to have a conversation with me. The staff at Songbirds are amazing I couldn’t fault them they are very kind and considerate. My child always comes home from nursery having enjoyed his day, he particularly loves to go out in the forest school and loves to get involved with all the activities. Songbirds is a great nursery and looking forward to my little girl starting with them soon.

Both my children attend this nursery and have done since they were both about 7 months old. It really is a lovely nursery and the best choice I made for my children. The staff and management are doing an amazing job.

Our son has been attending the nursery for a year. He enjoys going and has made good relationships with the staff. He enjoys the varied activities. It is lovely how often the children get to go out into the local community especially at such a young age. The app for communicating with parents is really effective and ensures we are kept well informed. Parents evenings are also a great way to ensure you are regularly updated about your child.

My little boy loves going to Songbirds and has a great relationship with all the staff. They are very friendly, informative and approachable. They keep me updated via the app and face-to-face.

Overall outstanding nursery! My son is very well cared for by the staff who put their all into their work and care. He has the best experiences and loves to go to nursery! Always such a friendly and homely welcome. Would highly recommend, I understand how daunting it can be for first time parents like myself, but the whole team and their work ethics make you feel right at ease.

We couldn’t have asked for a better nursery for our little boy. As first time parents, the thought of leaving our baby with someone we did not know was very daunting. We visited both Songbirds sites, where we were shown around by the owner at one site and manager at the other. Both ladies were very welcoming and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) which put our minds at ease. We chose to enrol our little boy at the Preston site and we honestly could not have picked a better place! He has developed a great bond with his key carer and so have we. The communication is second to none and we receive updates via the app throughout the day regarding his eating/napping. The staff even send photos of the activities he’s doing too. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking.

The only way to describe my experience with this nursery is outstanding. The love, dedication and hard work that goes into this setting day after day does not go unnoticed. My little girl has thrived so my much over the last year and has built some beautiful bonds with the staff. I am always given regular updates and information about her day. Over the past year the nursery has improved miraculously, not only in the quality of care but also with the opportunities available for the children. I would highly recommend Songbirds without hesitation. Thank you to all staff, management and directors for the impact you have on many young lives.

Review score 10. The staff are fantastic with both my children in their baby room and their after school club. They treat each child with their individual personalities and make their stays at the nursery enjoyable.

My child thoroughly enjoys going to Songbirds; he particularly enjoys all of the different activities that they do, including yoga and dancing to arts and crafts. He enjoys spending time in the garden around the animals, learning about the seasons and being able to watch them change. The staff are friendly and have a great relationship with my son and myself, as shown through great communication.

My little one absolutely loves attending nursery. She has a lovely bond with the girls and is always smiling at the end of the day. The care they provide and the activities they conduct appear to be excellent. The team prompt development skills when I ask for some encouragement. I love that they don't just sit in the building every day and actually get out and about, to the children's center, and things are planned at the nursery to celebrate occasions. I have had a few issues with the nursery that they are aware of, including lack of information on my child's day, putting formula into the bottle first (which isn't recommended), posting pictures online, etc. It's disappointing that management only want to communicate via the app when there is an issue, very impersonal. Say something has been done, but staff still unaware of 'special requirements' until I mentioned it, so feel like this might have been a cop out? Still no sign of the apology email. Overall, little one is happy and thriving.

Excellent nursery. Can’t fault a thing. Really happy with overall service. Both my boys have been to the nursery since 2018 and it has got better especially since being taken over in the last year by the owner and director. They’ve put a lot of time and effort into making the nursery more homely for the children and have really put a lot of thought into each specific area.

Songbirds is a very good nursery in my experience. The only negative is the communication between admin and room staff can be a bit off. There have been times I have booked my child as off and still get a message from the room staff asking if they are in that day. This has only changed since one of the ladies has been on maternity. In the rooms my child is in, again it's mostly positive. The staff are friendly and interact and care for my child very well. They are caring and kind. I have only had a few issues with missing bottles that have been found the next day. They are great at updating me if my child has gone in upset they will let me know when they are feeling better and settled in. Staff have been very helpful if I have to leave my child at the door when I have my other child in the car. I have had a rare few instances of my child needing new trousers on arrival as a wet accident hasn't been noticed fast enough. Other than those few things this nursery has been fantastic for my three.

Overall great. Staff are very warm, friendly and welcoming. All children seem very happy when you walk into the room to drop off. Meal times seem to have lots of choice and a variety each day/week. Would be great if the daily activity/activities were noted on the app like lunch, sleep, nappy changes and timings are. Would be lovely to be sent/see pictures (not everyday obviously, just now and again). I appreciate pick up times are busy for all; some children do get a little upset when it’s not their turn. Would it be possible for an activity to take place outside/in the middle room to distract if possible - just at the peak times? (Only a suggestion.)

Since the takeover of the nursery it has been utterly transformed. The setting is a fantastic space with so many opportunities for the children. The staff are fantastic and our child is so happy to go there every day. In particular the forest school staff and setting are outstanding, we’re super impressed. Communication has improved and any issues are dealt with promptly. The children have a varied menu with lots of fruit and vegetables. We really can’t recommend this nursery and their lovely staff enough and recommend it where we can.

My child has only been going for a month, but so far I like what I see. Child well looked after and enjoys all the activities. Am looking forward to the preschool age so that he can attend the forestry school.

We’ve had a really positive experience with Songbirds. My little girl has settled really well into the baby room and has made some good relationships with staff. Staff engage really well with us on drop off and pick ups and make me feel confident that she’s well looked after and treated as an individual.

Would highly recommend Songbirds nursery to anyone, cannot fault anything they do. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating, they go above and beyond. The facilities are excellent and is always been updated to be the very best! My little girl absolutely loves going and her learning has come on leaps and bounds so thank you!

We have used the nursery for both of our children over the last 11 years. Not once have we had any issues with the care they provide, and our kids have always been happy and excited to go. The staff have always been kind and friendly. Would highly recommend.
