There's so much to consider in the education and wellbeing of your child what 'sold' the Mount at Edgerton to us was the sense of 'family atmosphere' the moment we walked into the grounds. This is perhaps enhanced by the fact the school is housed in a beautiful former family residence and grounds
but this is by no means the sole reason, everyone there not just the staff but the children too, is really friendly. I was under the misapprehension that the private school sector was full of snobbery but the Mount have shattered that illusion and I'm glad :)
The attention and accomodation afforded our little boy has been exceptional and beyond our expectation. To be able to, in this day and age, rest, reassured of your little ones safety and wellbeing is truly invaluable. Communication at the Mount is excellent and the staff genuinely try to accomodate your individual needs.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in strongly recommend the Mount pre school , and now school, to anyone who enquires.

We are extremely happy with our experience at The Mount School preschool. From the very beginning, the staff have been warm, caring, and genuinely invested in my child's development and wellbeing.
My three-year-old has grown so much in confidence, communication, and independence since starting
here. The environment is safe, nurturing, and stimulating, with a great balance of learning through play and structured activities. The staff always make learning fun and engaging, and it's clear they truly care about each child.
Communication with parents is excellent, and we are always kept informed about our child's progress and daily activities. It gives us real peace of mind knowing our child is happy, settled, and well supported.
We are very grateful for everything the team does and would highly recommend this preschool to any parent looking for a supportive and high-quality early years setting in Huddersfield.

Putting the trust and care of your child into another and an environment they haven't been in at such a young age when they are still learning and developing is a daunting experience with a roller coaster of emotions for both the parent and child. I can honestly say, hand on heart we have had a
positive experience with The Mount Nursery and couldn't have chosen a better , more safe, caring and amazing nursery. Our daughter attended the Preschool and now her younger brother started his journey there in January 2026.
The Nursery stands out for it's nurturing, supportive environment and the diverse range of activities it offers. Children are taught independence from a young change which helps with their development as they grow and learn new skills each day. They're encouraged to explore and reach their full potential early on. No other local nursery whether it be private or not introduces French, visiting library, Music, IT and many other lessons and activities from a young age.
Staff are amazing to say the least. My daughter was a reserved individual but increased in confidence with each day and loved waking up on a morning and getting ready. The same goes for my son, although he is a lot more confident and energetic than his sister, he is always so excited to tell me about his day and all the activities he's been upto when I go to collect him. They both love all the teachers and that is another positive. Their selection and vetting process is amazing and this is evident as all the members of staff are very loving and caring towards the children. I would recommend The Nursery without any doubt to whoever asks me about our experience. There is no other Nursery that can match to give your child the best possible start. Thank you always to The Mount, the nursery manager and all the members of Staff who make this Nursery such a welcoming, safe and loving place to be.

My daughter started at The Mount School in September and she's loved every minute of it. The staff were all amazing at making her feel welcomed and comfortable in this new environment she was in. The staff are great at communicating and at answer any enquiries that I may have, what a great school

I cannot praise this nursery enough. After a difficult experience with a previous nursery , mount have gone above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition for our little boy.
The love the staff show has been unmatched and you can see how much they really care about every child.

My children love coming to pre school and baby room. The nursery offers so much more than previous nurseries. Staff are so friendly they know the kids so well, teaching is great all the kids have great manners. Any parents I know I always recommend them to check mount nursery they won't be
disappointed.

Our daughter has been here since she was 13months when the nursery opened. The staff were supportive and helped my daughter settle in her new setting.
She's loved every minute of her time here. The staff are very attentive and very caring. They are knowledgeable in child development. They use this
knowledge and include activities that help them to expand their skills line their vocabulary and gross motor skills.
The space is very child centred and absolutely spot on. My daughter loves exploring and enjoys the play based activities. Theres plenty of singing, messy play, outdoor exploration.
The staff are very thoughtful in their planning and incorporate my daughter's interests.
The communication is great and staff respond in a timely manner.
I also love that my daughter is building friendships with peers.
I cannot recommend them enough.

Our daughter has attended The Mount since August last year. Provides a safe, caring and nurturing environment, where she she has been able to settle in very quickly.

My son attends the nursery in the pre school room and has thrived since going. He is happy and settled and the staff always go the extra mile to make sure he feels welcome. He has learned a lot since going and the variety of play and learning is excellent. I would highly recommend this nursery.

What can I say about The Mount School day nursery ? What a warm and friendly place. Our little boy has loved his time here . He's made so many new friends and formed great relationships with boys and girls he has moved into 'big school' with. Big School of course being into The Mount School
Kindergarten, I wouldn't dream of sending him anywhere else.
The Staff are first class . I was so proud when my wife and I got invited in to watch little performances the children had been working on. The kids seem so happy here. I would highly recommend The Mount School nursery. First class.

Our daughter attended the Mount nursery for the year 2024/2025 and we found it to be an excellent choice. Sydney wanted to attend every morning which is testament in itself. The staff were very warm and welcoming and we found her progress with learning to be also very good. A great preparation for
her next year in reception, which has carried on in the same manner.

The Mount Nursery is an absolutely fantastic early years care provider for my son. He has been at the nursery from the age of 12 months and he is now 18 months. In the last 6 months I have watched him develop in a multitude of ways, his language and singing are coming on leaps and bounds. Every
morning he rushes in excited to see what activities are planned. He's developed wonderful relationships with all the nursery staff who go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I honestly cannot praise this nursery highly enough. Our experience during Summer 2025 was absolutely impeccable from start to finish.
The setting is truly child-focused and nurturing. The environment encourages imagination, creativity and confidence, and it feels so much more than just a nursery -
it is a warm, inspiring space where children are genuinely supported to thrive emotionally and socially, not just cared for.
The facilities and outdoor grounds are beautiful and thoughtfully designed, creating such a calm and enchanting atmosphere. Even small details make a difference - arriving each morning feels uplifting and positive, and it sets both parent and child in the right frame of mind for the day.
What really stood out to me was the level of support for both children and parents. It never felt like simply "dropping off and collecting" - it felt like being part of a caring, attentive community where your child is truly known and supported. Seeing my child excited to go in each da

I found it's a nice environment for the children , the staff are very welcoming and site is secure ,with locked gate access via coms only . I am happy that my granddaughter well looked after she loves going to nursery and talks about the staff and children she has engaged with on a daily basis.

Our daughter has been attending the baby room since September 2025, when she was 17 months old. As first-time parents, we were naturally quite nervous about starting nursery, but the staff were absolutely amazing in helping to ease our worries from day one.
They are always approachable,
supportive, and genuinely have our daughter's best interests at heart. It's so reassuring to know she is in such caring and attentive hands.
We especially love how they keep us updated about her day, it really helps us feel connected and involved. Choosing this nursery has truly been one of the best decisions we've made for our daughter.

Our daughter has been attending the baby room since September 2025, and we couldn't be happier with the care she receives. As parents navigating nursery for the first time, leaving her at nursery was a big step for us, but the team made the transition so much easier than we expected.
The staff are
warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children's development. Over the past few months, we've seen such a positive change in our daughter - her confidence has grown so much, and it's clear she feels safe and happy in her environment.
She absolutely loves going to nursery each day, which speaks volumes about the care and support she receives. We can't thank the teachers enough for everything they do.

The Mount School create a nurturing caring environment where my grandson feels comfortable and enjoys his days immensely. Since the first day, he has flourished, and updates are provided in each area at intervals throughout the week. Safeguarding is excellent and at the forefront of everything at
the school.

Excellent nursery, I was initially apprehensive as it was new when we sent in my son, he has settled in very well, we get feedback everyday face to face and via the app. In terms of development, nursery is constantly assessing my son with targets after reaching each mile stone.
Friendly and
approachable staff. I feel they treat my son as an individual and not just a number.
Staff are open to ideas and suggestions.
