Nurtured @ Skelmanthorpe is absolutely wonderful. The staff are so caring, friendly, and genuinely interested in every child's wellbeing and development. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can really see how much thought goes into the activities and learning opportunities each day. My child loves going and always comes home happy and full of stories about what they've done. The communication with parents is excellent too - you always feel involved and reassured. I can't recommend this nursery highly enough!

All of the team at Nurtured Skelmanthorpe are amazing. My son joined later on than most children, and I was amazed at how quickly they got to know him and worked out exactly what was needed to help him grow and flourish. They put a lot of effort, care and thought into everything that they do, going above and beyond what would be expected. My son loved going every day, and I always knew he was being looked after by people who genuinely care.

We couldn't recommend nurtured enough. All the staff are lovely and go above and beyond. An example of this is when our son came down with chicken pox, the manager gave lots of really helpful and friendly advice when she didn't have to which just goes to show how caring all the staff really are. The Nursery provide lots of extra curricular activities for the children, which are all amazing! Our son always has a big smile on his face when we arrive to pick him up and is always excited to go!

We feel so lucky that our son goes to Nurtured, since he started in May, he has loved going! We have seen massive improvements in his confidence with trying new activities, learning new words and learning new skills daily. The staff at nurtured are amazing, they always ensure good communication of what our son is up to at nursery and keep us updated on everything we need to be. All the staff have such lovely bonds with the children. We always feel so supported by the staff at Nurtured and they create such a homely feel, full of fun for the children! The nursery chef is also lovely, and all of the food that she makes is nutritious and homemade, which is a big bonus. We always feel confident in knowing that our child is eating well on his days at nursery. Nurtured is perfect for us and most importantly, our son loves it! We can't thank all of the staff enough for how they care for our little boy!

We have honestly had the best experience with Nurtured at Skelmanthorpe since my daughter started in May. They really put me at ease knowing she was looked after while I went back to work after maternity leave. The staff are so lovely and you can tell they genuinely love looking after the children. I always get picture updates to see what she gets up to and how much fun she is having. If I could put her in more days I would as I can see how much they are helping with her development and she loves it!

We have been attending this nursery since January 2025, we have other family members that have been here and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else! The staff go above and beyond for the children and the parents. My daughter has flourished being here and it's being a huge help going back into work. We use a app so we can keep on track how the children are doing throughout the day and you can contact the staff so easily as well other things, if you want the best start in education for your children I would highly recommend here

We have had the best experience with Nurtured since we moved our daughter there 9 months ago. She has absolutely flourished under their care and looks forward to going every day. The staff are so caring and attentive with her and we receive photo updates every day of what they have all been up to. The extra curricular offering is a great addition and I'm looking forward to my daughter trying Forest School once she turns two! They also have done little local trips - my daughter loved the visit to the fire station and when lambs from the local farm came into nursery for the day. All the staff go to so much effort with the children and it's wonderful to see. Thank you Nurtured

I am extremely happy and grateful of the staff at nurtured, they are friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and amazing. When I looked around the nursery it had a lovely, warm and safe atmosphere and I knew I was more than happy for my son to come here. Since my little boy had been at nurtured, he has progressed so much and enjoys going. Not only that, the staff are fantastic and do everything to make your little one happy and comfortable. The communication from the staff is spot on and whenever I ask of my little boy is okay, they will respond and let me know how he's getting on during the day. My son has been referred to physio and the staff at nurtured make sure they do these exercises with him to progress his development. Nurtured have their own chef as well and they always make nice healthy meals which my son loves. Nurtured provides amazing care for little ones and I'm just so glad I chose to put my son into this nursery. I 100% recommend this nursery.

I couldn't recommend Nurtured at Skelmanthorpe enough, my son began attending here in July 2024 and since then I've noticed the world of difference in him, he's confident and thriving in his development since staff promptly picked up on behaviour challenges that were missed by his previous setting, they were supportive and reassuring throughout the process to myself as a parent. The staff are very enthusiastic and creative and always have a selection of well thought out activities based on children's needs and interests which keep the children engaged in learning and learning fun! The staff have a very nurturing approach to the children and really care about their opinions alongside parents, they really show children's voices matter. I would never send my child or any future children anywhere else after my experience.

I was very worried about my little boy starting nursery as he would get very upset in new environments and around new people. All of the staff have been very reassuring, sending pictures and updates regularly. He has now formed great bonds with each staff member, who have gone above and beyond for him to help him settle, even buying new toys because he has taken an interest in certain items! Very happy with Nurtured.

Our son (almost 2) has been attending here for around a year and we couldn't be happier! They know him inside out which is reflected in the observations we are sent. We get regular updates and photos of his day, and the range of activities they pack in to sessions is amazing! We also have to mention the food- he clears his plate every meal and snack time and speaking to other parents I know this is representative of other children too.

The staff are excellent with my child at nursery, made her feel very welcome and apart of the nursery family. She loves spending time at nursery and she is coming on leaps and bounds after her sessions The extra curricular is amazing for the different ages groups and I couldn't be more happier

All the team are friendly and my daughter loved going to nursery. She only left because she was going to school. The nursery did plenty of activities to keep her occupied and she throughly enjoyed the trips she went on.

The manager and her team are just amazing! The whole team are all so dedicated and always have excellent activities, themes and little trips happening as well as amazing extra curricular activities to choose too. The team always know how to bring the best out of my child and really give her opportunities to explore and develop. Can't thank you all enough!

My daughter loves it here. She is cared for, supported and seen. When we had concerns, her key worker and other members of staff observed, monitored and reported back to us. We are so happy with Nurtured @ Skelmanthorpe and the staff there. They are very experienced and it shows.

My child loves going to the nursery all the staff are kind and welcome me and my child into the nursery! So happy for my child to be there! The outdoor space is safe and has lots for the children to do. Also, the inside space is amazing for the children with the sensory and many more for them to play with during the days.

My twins joined the baby/toddler room in July. Since then they have absolutely thrived. We love everything about Nurtured from the staff to the meals to the activities. The daily updates are brilliant and there are always lots of lovely pictures to see what the girls have been up to. We can't thank all of the lovely staff enough for helping the girls settle so quickly. They always go to nursery on a morning with smiles on their faces!

There is no need to write names because every member of the team here are amazing with the children. My little one is so happy to attend this nursery and is thriving. He has learnt so much, both educationally and socially. The app used to communicate is updated daily so I not only see what he has eaten, but also see what activities both in groups and individually he has been doing. I love that they also link this to the curriculum. The food made is always healthy and homemade so I know he is eating well. Plus he is trying new things all the time. From dropping him off in the morning, to picking him up I know he is going to be healthy, happy and busy. The manager is an absolutely amazing manager who plans so many great activities. In particular forest school and a First Aid course for them all to do. What a great skill to learn and to help with confidence. The environment here is amazing and the areas they set up for the children look amazing every time I go in. Thank you.

My child has been going to Nurtured at Skelmanthorpe for nearly a year now, and it was the best choice we made. He's really settled in and we can tell how much he has come along with the help of the staff that care for him and everyone else that is around! Communication from staff is excellent and they go out of their way to make you feel at ease by dropping a message about how my child's doing if we have a bad drop off on a morning. The updates I receive via the app are really good. They let you know how much he's eaten, what he's up to throughout the day and everything else that you wish to know.
