View Full Details of Partou The Village Day Nursery & Pre-schoolMy son has been attending Village Day Nursery since he was five months old, obviously as he was quite young I was anxious to leave him but the small, family feel to the nursery made me feel confident he would be safe. As an Early Years specialist myself (to PhD level) I knew exactly what I wanted from a nursery, I viewed several in the area and although not 'Ofsted Outstanding', they are in my eyes and heart and that's why I chose them. The staff are excellent, they update me every day on what my son has done, they provide a range of experiences and an excellent menu, but most importantly my son literally jumps for joy when we pull up in the morning. I have no hesitations in recommending this nursery from both a personal and professional perspective - they are fantastic.
Excellent Nursery. My son has been welcomed so nicely and he is learning so much. Love the app for updates. The girls are great. Love that they take them outside even as babies. Food selection is good.
My little girl really struggled to settle into nursery as she was a Covid baby and had little contact with her family, the lovely staff at The Village Day Nursery helped settle my daughter and reassure both me and mummy, they provide a detailed daily diary in the baby room and we receive lots of lovely photographs seeing what she’s doing in the day, there outdoor space it amazing and very forestry you see the children on walks and double buggies looking at the boats and feeding the ducks when they visit the canal barge.
Our little boy has been at the village nursery since 10 months old (he has just moved into preschool) He is looked after so well, and the staff that care for him have all been kind, nurturing and loving. It’s been lovely to see how happy he is playing and enjoying all the fun activities that the staff plan for the children. The nursery is welcoming and warm and we feel safe and reassured leaving him there for the day whilst we work. Couldn’t recommend the nursery enough
My son has been going to the Village Day Nursery since January and he absolutely loves it. From the day we first visited, we knew it was just what we were looking for. It's clean, spacious, and bright; the play area is well-equipped, and there is a separate room for dining and a quiet room where the children sleep. The staff are brilliant. They all know my son's interests and they really care about his development and wellbeing. At the end of each day I am given a brief summary of his meals, nap time, nappy output, and activities he did, which gives me a sense of security - it almost feels like I don't miss out on as much, just by being so well informed by the staff. I love how it's not a one-size-fits-all all approach when it comes to our children. Individual needs are respected here, and if I ever had a request or a favour to ask, they always aimed to accommodate that. My son has developed so much since January and I could not thank the staff and management enough for their commitment.
My daughter has been attending The Village Day Nursery since Oct 2020 and has loved it since day 1. The staff and key workers have all been outstanding and shown a real personal care and interest in her and her development. She’s come on so much in this time and developed such independence and confidence. She’s got a really strong group of friends and loves to come home and tell me all about the fun activities and games she has been playing that day. All the staff are caring and so friendly and seem to get so much out of her. My little boy has been at Village Day Nursery since June 2022 and seems to be following the exact same pattern as she has - the staff are so good with him and he really enjoys going and he has developed so much since being there. The food options are really varied and there seems to be a great choice for them to eat and try new things. All the staff and management are excellent and there is a real personal touch and interest when communicating about the children.
Whilst our child has only been at this nursery for a short time, we have noticed a massive improvement in his development when compared to his previous nursery. Staff are welcoming, friendly and easy to talk to. Staff ask for daily updates from home and ask if there are any issues they need to be aware of. At the end of the day, we get a comprehensive handover including all meals and how much they’ve eaten, sleep and nappies. We are regularly asked to fill in sheets about our child’s interests so that learning is catered for each child to engage them. As we are in the early stages of potty training, staff have been on board with us helping our child through this. The app and Facebook are updated to show pictures of the children’s learning and regularly shows the children cooking. The nursery have many outdoor areas including a field which has room to explore. We are very happy with the standard of care and learning our child receives.
Great nursery and staff. They always put on activities and make use of the fantastic outdoor space. Food is fab, and a lot of thought and care goes into it. Always feedback on how your child is doing and really care for them.
The Village Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery. My little boy is in pre school and absolutely loves it. The staff are brilliant, so warm and friendly and make it easy leaving him with them, I know he is in safe hands and will be well looked after as well as learning and exploring. The nursery has a real homely feel to it, it has a nice and relaxed atmosphere and very welcoming. He does lots of lovely activities with his teachers and enjoys playing outside. It would be nice to have a little more communication home during the day, photographs of what the children have been doing etc but the staff are great at documenting the day at pick up.
Our daughter loves The Village Day Nursery, she runs in every morning. The teachers are not only caring, but also make the time to get to know the children and their interests and tailor activities for them. Every week there are different themes and activities. There are multiple outdoor spaces and they sometimes go for a walk around the village. The chef makes sure all the children have a nutritious menu each day and food is varied.
We are really happy with The Village Day Nursery. Our son started in 2019 in Babies and went through to pre-school and my daughter is now there, starting in 2022. The staff are amazing and really hard working. They always put on great activities for the children. My kids have always been really happy to go and happy at drop off and pick up. My daughter has just started to speak and talks a lot about the staff at nursery which is lovely to hear. The food is lovely and a great mix for the children to try. The only negative would be the increase in fees this year, which was above the cost of living increase and above any other nursery that I know of. However, this is all to do with the head office management and not the actual nursery itself. I just hope the increase reaches the staff working hard at the nursery to make it a lovely place and not just the head office profit pot.
This is my second daughter to attend The Village day nursery, and I cannot praise the staff enough. My little girl is happy to go to nursery and is always full of beans when she comes home. I am kept up to date on her day-to-day activities, what she has eaten and her progress. All the members of staff are welcoming and friendly. When potty training my little girl they did everything they could for her and really helped her. They checked in with me on her progress at home and what could be done at nursery to keep things consistent. Lovely nursery!
My little boy started at Village Day Nursery in October 2022 when he had just turned one, I was so nervous about sending him to nursery for three days a week when returning to work but I had no need to be, he settled in so well and loves going as he has so much fun. He has developed so much since going and this is credit to the staff, they are all amazing and can't do enough for him. They take part in lots of different activities and they have such a great variety of meals and I am informed everyday of what he has done, eaten and how he has slept which is a great comfort. I would highly recommend The Village Day Nursery to anyone!
My daughter has settled in so well here, and the staff are absolutely amazing. She is clearly very happy and comfortable in their care. I am always kept informed of what my daughter has been doing that day and how she is progressing and developing.
Every member of the nursery team show genuine care towards all of the children. My daughter loves going to nursery and has developed significantly since starting. The classes are a nice size and each child gets the kind of support they need. In addition, the meals, experiences and activities are really varied. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking.
The nursery went through a bit of a bad spell when it initially got took over however in the last 6-12 months it has improved again and is back to a brilliant nursery. The staff are brilliant and my son loves attending.
My son absolutely loves nursery which he attends 3 days a week! He has come on leaps and bounds since he started at 11 months old, nearly 1 year ago. For all those worrying mums sending their children to nursery, the staff at The Village day nursery took notes on how my son slept/needed comforting and how many bottles he needed to ensure that I had peace of mind. They send home lots of arts and crafts and update us with pictures throughout the day. They have lots of themed weeks also. They just provide a fabulous experience for my son to enjoy!
Our little girl started going to Crooke Village Day nursery in August 2022 following 12 months of maternity leave. I was dreading sending her to nursery and returning to work full time. After our first settling-in days, I fell in love with the nursery and the staff. Our little girl's Key Worker is wonderful with her, you can see how much they care for the children and the interest/dedication they take in caring for the babies. Our little girl has developed so much since joining, she has pretty much bypassed crawling and gone to walking. We have noticed her confidence has increased and her desire for independence has grown. The nursery are incredibly supportive in any decisions you make, they will work with you to help your little one develop. I really do recommend this nursery.
My son has attended this nursery since being a baby (he's now in pre-school there). I would highly recommend this nursery, the warming environment, reassurance and comfort, the communication, the staff, everything! My experience as a mum has been lovely; his transitions moving up through the nursery have always flowed with no upset, his needs are always met, and they go above and beyond. My little one is always happy to be left for the day, and that speaks for itself. Thank you for being so amazing!
