View Full Details of Elmscot Day Nursery & Nursery SchoolWe're so grateful for the amazing care Elmscot Nursery gives our daughter. The staff are kind, attentive, and truly dedicated. Since starting, she's grown in confidence and is thriving in every aspect of her development. She comes home excited about what she's learned, and it's clear how much thought and love go into everything the team does. Thank you, Elmscot, for helping her shine!
Fantastic friendly staff who take the time to get to know your child and identify appropriate next steps for development. Clean room and lots of fun activities on offer! My daughter also loves the food and there is a good variety on offer.
Elmscot provides my son a clean, wonderful environment to excel in his development. There are so many different activities he is involved in and the staff at the Nursery are so polite, wonderful and supportive. I'm so pleased to send my son here and wouldn't think twice about recommending it to any of my friends in future.
Both my girls love going, come home telling stories (for the elder anyway) and continually surprise us with new things learnt. They eat better than I do. Staff are all lovely, wouldn't hesitate in recommending the nursery. What more can you ask for?
The nursery offers wonderful activities, a warm, inviting setting, fantastic staff and outstanding nutrition. The staff really focus on developing children, emotionally, physically and cognitively. They have brilliant extra activities like forest school, mental health days, yoga. I really appreciate the updates you get at the end of each day as well as a weekly oversight with pictures. My little one couldn't be happier and I feel very supported by the staff, particularly the excellent manager.
My children attend in the baby room and we have been thrilled with how quickly they settled and how great the team have been. We absolutely love our Elmscot family and are so happy we found this nursery. Our boys have special dietary needs and are one of the youngest in the room, and the team have taken so much care considering their needs and making us all feel comfortable.
Elmscot is an amazing place and we feel so lucky to have become part of the family over the last few months. The staff are all wonderful and the nurturing environment they create ensures children are encouraged to have fun and thrive. I was so worried going back to work leaving our 9-month-old at nursery but everyone was so reassuring. To see him so happy, how loved he is and how much he loves the staff is the best a parent could hope for from a nursery and we can't recommend the place highly enough!
My son has been going to Elmscot since the new year and in that time, he has developed leaps and bounds. More than anything we feel that he is safe there. The staff are all so friendly, even if they are working with other groups and everyone genuinely seems enthusiastic and attentive. We're provided updates via the online platform which we really appreciate. Overall a great experience with Elmscot, can't have any complaints.
We couldn't be happier with the nursery and in particular, the staff. They work extremely well as a team and are all so friendly and enthusiastic about their work. Their caring nature towards the children is evident throughout the setting and our daughter has always been very happy at the nursery.
The best of the best in every single way: 1. Facilities and space: each room (baby, toddlers and pre-school) have great developmental toys, the outdoors space/garden is very big (probably the largest compared to any other nurseries in the area) and plenty of green spaces nearby; 2. Staff: experienced and professional. It comes from the top because the manager has been there for many years and no request is big enough for her! 3. Opportunities for children: they go on daily trips to local parks, libraries, pet shops, forest school; they have weekly activities delivered by experts like baby yoga, sensory classes on top of daily activities provided by staff; 4. Menu: food is healthy and analysed by a dietitian. They get breakfast, healthy snacks, lunch (meain meal + pudding) and tea. I have had 2 children go to this nursery and they never rejected any meals (unlike at home); -5. Communication: we get frequent updates with photos on the online platform (almost daily!)
Love the baby room and all the staff there. Food is excellent quality and the communication from staff is also great. We are so pleased with our experience with our son so far and would recommend to anyone.
Our daughter has been at Elmscot since 2020 when she started as a baby and is now in pre-school there. We have been very happy with Elmscot and she loves going. They do a wide variety of activities and are great at keeping in touch and updating us on the app. The atmosphere at the nursery is always warm, friendly and personal and we have always found the staff to be caring and welcoming. It's been great to see our daughter starting to engage with more structured learning with the staff in preschool and the teacher there is excellent.
The staff our brilliant. The nursery is always well organised and tidy. It's very well run. Most importantly our daughter loves and can't get enough of the place, and gets so excited when arriving.
Our daughter started at Elmscot when she was 1 and she goes a few days a week and has a brilliant time. They do plenty of fantastic activities that I would never be able to do at home such as lots of messy play and creative painting. We get lots of progress check-ins and the progress we have seen in our daughter since she started has been amazing, in her gross motor skills, physical skills and in her cutlery skills at mealtime. They always have a varied, nutritious weekly menu giving our daughter exposure to lots of different tastes and textures. Our daughter has quickly formed fantastic bonds with her key worker and other workers in her room and this gives us peace of mind that she is happy and safe and has people she feels comfortable around. Our experience has been really positive.
Elmscot Nursery has been an utter delight from the very first day my son attended. My three-year-old is now in his last phase of the nursery prior to starting school. Every transition point to a new room has been professionally managed and communication has been continuous to ensure that as parents, we were aware of changes and what to expect. As a first-time mum, I had a lot of questions and nothing was too much for the nursery to answer. Further, they responded with ideas and support. My child has been in the safest of hands in every single room and adores the nursery. The use of the online app is also superb. Updates throughout the week are both reassuring when at work but also reminders of the right choice we have made. What I love about Elmscot is that they are family-based and my child knows all the adults there from the chefs to the cleaners to the nursery staff and managers. All the staff are linked with different rooms and the out-of-nursery activities are superb.
An amazing place to trust with kids. Lots of attractive and intelligent activities for children. I was anticipating a huge episode of separation anxiety from my little one as we started but she turned out to love going there. Also for my child, whose first language is not English, the nursery staff could competently accommodate to her needs. I would highly recommend Elmscot - Altrincham.
We have had a great experience with both daughters attending Elmscot, both from under a year old. The staff are caring and communicative and plan an array of fun and educational activities for the children. The weekly menu is varied and healthy and the girls nearly always enjoy what is offered. There is a large outdoor space which is currently being renovated which we cannot wait for them to enjoy! We are also grateful for the flexible approach from the management which helps support our busy working lives.
To leave your first child to be cared for by strangers is so daunting, but Elmscot could not have been more perfect for us as a family. As my first is about to leave for nursery school and my youngest is about to start at Elmscot (there was no doubt in my mind of where she would attend) - this time around, I’m much more relaxed and confident that she will have the best care and experiences. All the staff go above and beyond every day and have exceeded our expectations in the past three years. The variety of experiences and topics he has been taught, especially in the past year, have been outstanding. They’re no longer strangers but now a part of our children's daily life, of which my son speaks so fondly of.
Just a quick message to say how wonderful you and your team have been throughout his settling-in sessions. One staff member, in particular, has been most helpful and fabulous with him. The app posts have been flooding through, which as a mum, I really appreciate, but as a practitioner, understand these are time-consuming and tedious - so thank you very much. This morning, it was wonderful to see the children all being taken out in the big bus prams, and all the staff were so friendly and happy to chat. We already feel part of the Elmscot family. We can’t wait for him to start full days. Thank you to all the team. The more I’ve seen, the more I know it’s the perfect place for him.
The staff are lovely. Welcoming and friendly and so is the manager. Not yet had an issue but feel like if I did I would be able to voice my concerns without being judged. My child is very happy when I pick up.
