I have had the pleasure of having my daughter at JFS nursery since April 2025 when she turned 2 years old and it was the best decision I made for her. Not only has her speech and communication skills made leaps and bounds of improvement but she has made such strong bonds with her peers and the
staff. The staff here go above and beyond for every single one of the children and make them all feel special.
They always update the app and keep you up to date with what your child has done during the day which is so reassuring.
They take such good care of my daughter and this is the only nursery I ever recommend to people!

Just for Starters offers an intimate and ideal environment. My granddaughter has made great progress in language, knowledge, and social skills, especially sharing and caring. This is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the staff. Staff and management consistently uphold high standards of
professionalism. The app enables parents to observe inspiring activities children participate in. Parents are actively involved in children's learning, fostering a strong sense of community. The team is managed with great effectiveness, each demonstrating compassion, flexibility and empathy, always with a friendly approach. This extends to the wider family, contributing to a powerful sense of belonging. There have been no staff changes during our time, providing further reassurance for parents. Ultimately, children are the biggest critics. When my granddaughter returns home saying she has had a lovely day and is eager to go back, it's clear JfS is providing an environment where children are happy.

Our son has been attending Just for Starters (JFS) since he was 2 years old, and now at 4 he's thriving in their preschool setting. When he first joined, he was very shy and spoke very little. Thanks to the incredible fun, care, and attention from the JFS team, he soon out of his shell. He became
more confident, started talking more, and truly found his voice.
During his time at JFS, he has also made some wonderful friends and grown into a kind, caring little boy. It's been lovely to see him use that kindness to support some of the younger nursery children too - something we believe is a reflection of the nurturing environment around him.
Now in preschool, the team continues to support his development through creative play and thoughtful activities. We can see his confidence grow stronger every single day. The nurturing environment, patient staff, and engaging learning approach have made such a positive difference to his early years.
We're truly grateful to JFS.

Just For Starters is a gorgeous nursery.
It is all you could wish for your child to experience during their pre-school years - a comfy, cosy setting full of proper activities, classic toys & play areas, all led by staff who care for the children as if they were their own.
The nursery and it's
staff balance a home-from-home vibe with a high level of professionalism. Staff are kind, warm & approachable as well as being incredibly knowledgeable, forward-thinking & informative.
My son feels as comfortable and confident at nursery as he does at home, yet staff always seem to strive to provide children with experiences that they may not get time for at home every day - for example, messy, sensory activities that are always accessible, outdoor (and indoor) play using an abundance of play equipment, & time for all of the children within the nursery to come together and socialise through their play.
JFS is a really happy place - I am so grateful they are part of my son's early years.

A wonderful nursery experience! We've had such a fantastic experience with Just for Starters Nursery. From the very beginning, we felt completely reassured knowing our child was cared for in such a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment. Our little one has made lovely friendships, and developed
so many new skills and interests. The staff encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning, and they always make the children feel heard and valued. Everyone is kind, approachable, and genuinely caring - which makes such a big difference for parents too. We're so grateful for the thoughtful activities, the safe and happy atmosphere, and the way the team goes above and beyond every day. Highly recommended!

My younger son just had his graduation last week and I wanted to share how grateful we are for Just for Starters. We moved from Kent to Sutton Coldfield 18 months ago and were very anxious about finding a good nursery, as our previous one had been fantastic. But Just for Starters completely exceeded
our expectations. From day one, everyone was so welcoming, caring, and attentive. The team went above and beyond not just in daily care but in preparing children for school with genuine love and effort. The manager, is fantastic - always approachable and passionate - and the staff are simply wonderful. They've created such a happy, nurturing environment where our son has thrived. We always felt confident he was in the best hands. Just for Starters has made a lasting impact on our family and we can't recommend it highly enough.

Fantastic nursery, the staff did an excellent job helping my daughter settle in after having had a bad experience at a different nursery. The staff were kind and patient with my daughter and provided me with reassurance and regular updates to put me at ease.
Over the years my daughter has developed
a beautiful relationship with the staff which is a testament to the care and attention that they show the children.
The activities and opportunities for learning and experiencing new things that this nursery provides is fantastic.
The crossover that they have with the primary school to help settle the children when they leave just goes to prove that they really care about the child as a whole and not just while they are at the nursery.
I have recommended this nursery to all of my family and friends who have little ones and I will be sending my second child here too. I am very grateful to all of the staff and am very happy to have found this nursery.

The staff have had an amazingly positive impact on my child and have helped them grow in ways I honestly didn't think possible. My child didn't like other nurseries and it was heartbreaking trying to get them to go. That changed however when they came to Just for Starters. The staff bonded well and
the effort they put in with the children is shown in how my child developed during their time with the staff. A big thank you for everything you have done.

My son is graduating from Just For Starters this summer and he has been so happy there. All of the staff are so nurturing and supportive and they provide him with so much care, attention, and positivity.
I would highly recommend JFS to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and I feel very lucky
to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my son.

I am very happy with the nursery Just for Starters. My little one has only two months now that he is attending this nursery and in this little time, I have noticed a lot of positive changes. He has started to express himself more and saying a lot of new words with us at home. He learned to say the
colours and to be clear about the things that he wants. He also started to eat a lot of different healthy vegetables and fruits. At home he even refused to try to eat various types of food and now, thanks to the nursery he enjoys eating them. I noticed that he is also more sociable towards children of his own age and now even outside he likes to play, and participate in games with other children. Overall I am very happy with the nursery and I would like to thank you for all the positive behaviours that my son has gained since he started to go there. Thanks again!

We are so happy we chose Just for Starters for our daughter, she is loving her time there and settled so quickly. All the staff are so nurturing and friendly and the children have a huge variation of activities which is over an open plan layout which I love! Would highly recommend Just for Starters!

Just for Starters Day Nursery has provided such a nurturing environment for my daughter. Following our job relocation, we moved to the area in January this year and we were extremely worried that our daughter would not settle in. Thanks to the caring staff in the Just for Starters Nursery, they made
this transition much more smoothly than we expected. My daughter was very happy about staying full-time in the preschool class, and she grew so much in all aspects within the last six months when she was there. The close link with the local primary school makes the transition to the school much easier as well. The manager and the staff also spare no effort to arrange various activities for the children and families.

A lovely nursery with kind and caring staff. They really helped our little girl feel safe and we know she was well cared for. They took time to find out what she was in interested in and set up lots of activities so that she blossomed. The links with the school are great so they often used the
outdoor space there. They also made a great job of getting her ready for school and the transition has been totally drama free!

Both my daughter and son have attended the Just For Starters Day Nursery over the last five years. During this period, we had the best experience; all staff were professional, nurturing, and caring. I cannot emphasise enough, just how much they have cared for my children; it has become their second
home. Their individual key workers have been amazing in supporting my children’s needs and overcoming any difficulties, equally, the management team have always been very accommodating.
There are new daily activities and experiences planned, which have helped my son thrive and prepare him for his reception year in school. The nursery app has been fantastic in providing a platform where I can receive daily meal and activity updates, as well as key journey observations. I regularly use the app to communicate with the staff and receive instant responses.
I would highly recommend Just for Starters Day Nursery to anyone in the area looking for a warm and happy environment where your child can flourish.

As our son leaves this nursery to start his school journey I wanted to let any future parents looking for a safe and happy place to leave their child whilst they work that Just For Starters is that wonderful environment. Our son has grown emotionally and socially and as a working mum the nursery
have supported us 100% which is so important. The dinners are healthy and always eaten and the rooms are filled with interesting and fun toys! We are so sad our nursery journey is over but so grateful for all that this nursery has provided, safety, fun, support and care.

My third child has been at Just For Starters for a year. I have used 5 nurseries between my 3 children due to multiple house moves, and have visited many others when choosing a nursery.
The staff at just for starters are second to none. They will make not only your child, but also parents and
carers feel part of the nursery family. Staff here are incredibly caring, knowledgable, nurturing, and supportive. My child attended here and another nursery at the same time for a while, and it became clear that just for starters was the far better fit for him. The way he is, and the way he is spoken about is so much more positive, that we decided to go full time at the nursery. We haven’t looked back.
As his time comes to an end at the nursery, I’m really sad to say goodbye to the staff and kids, but I know they’ve prepared him for school in every way possible. He’ll thrive because of the time and effort that all the staff have put in to his preschool experience. Thank you all.

We are delighted with our experience of Just for Starters so far. It is our two-year-old daughter's first time in a nursery setting, and we have been so appreciative of the care and attention she has received during her settling-in period. Staff are warm and attentive, and we are very happy with the
array of activities on offer for her - it's lovely seeing updates of what she's been up to throughout the day via the app. Communication from staff has been great from day one - whether, by phone, email or app, they always have time to talk through any concerns. We 100% recommend Just for Starters.

Our 3-year-old recently joined Just For Starters Day Nursery, and we couldn’t be happier. She previously attended a nursery we weren’t entirely happy with, but we were very reluctant to move her due to settle ins etc. She was very nervous to start at the nursery, however, the management/staff always
put her at ease and make her feel settled, which puts us at ease too.
The app used by the nursery to provide parents updates is brilliant; we receive these daily, and it’s lovely to see her progress and what she gets up to with her friends.
The nursery provides so many engaging activities through learning and play, and she is always excited to tell us about what she’s been up to during the day.
I love how I can speak to any of the staff, including management, and they all know how she has been getting on showing the level of interaction she has with the staff.
The nursery has fantastic facilities, which enable the children to play and learn in a clean and safe environment.
