View Full Details of Kids Capers Day NurseryI have had two children go through Kids Capers, both starting at 9 months and staying up until they started school. Their experience throughout the three rooms has been great. Both of them have loved going and I cannot fault the nursery or the staff. Would highly recommend.
The team at Kids Capers are truly amazing, they go above and beyond to provide a high level of nurture and care to the children. My eldest attended here and my 1.5 year is now there, they both absolutely loved it and have flourished in their development. The thought that goes into the activities to support all areas of their development is so creative and well thought of. I can't thank the team enough for everything
My daughter has been a part of Kids Capers since she was about 10 months old, she is now almost 5, how time flies! and she will be starting school this September. She has high special needs and is non-verbal, and I can't speak highly enough of the care, support, and dedication the team has shown her throughout her time there. From the very beginning, the staff have gone above and beyond to understand her individual needs and to make sure she feels safe, happy, and included. Their patience, compassion, and genuine love for what they do have made such a difference-not only in her development, but also in giving us support and peace of mind as parents. Kids Capers has been a nurturing and positive environment where she's been able to grow, make connections, and learn in her own way. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done and continue to do for us as a family.
My daughter has been with Kids Capers for the last year and a half. She started in sunshine room and is now in rainbow room and she absolutely loves it. She's made some great friendships with other children and I've seen her development go from strength to strength. The staff are always so welcoming and have been so supportive and helpful since she started. We love going to the stay and play days together as she likes to show me around and it's great to meet other parents and chat to the staff. We definetly made the best decision sending our daughter to Kids Capers
My son has attended Kids Capers since roughly around 9 months old, he is now 3 and absolutely loves it here. My son is happy and looks forward to going to nursery and likes the staff there. The staff in each room that he has been have been lovely, supportive and attentive to my son's needs which has helped him to develop and grow. The staff have helped us with beginning the process of developing an EHCP as well as sign posting to additional support as my child has additional needs.
We are having a wonderful experience with Kids Capers. Our boy started in September 2024 and we didn't have any other choice but to send him to nursery 5 days a week. We were quite nervous and wondered how the little one was going to settle in. From the very beginning, the staff have been warm and professional. Our child settled in quickly and he looks forward to going to nursery every morning. All the staff are great with him, and he smiles at them as soon as he sees them at the start of the day. The staff always keeps us updated on how he did during the day, and we get the updates about meals, naps and nappy changes on the app. Staff are very reassuring, and the communication with them is great. Big shout-out to two members of staff!! He loves the daily activities, and we noticed real progress in his communication and confidence since joining. We are expecting a second baby at the moment, and we will feel very happy and reassured (without doubt) to send him/her to Kids Capers too.
Both of my boys have attended Kids Capers Nursery since they were 11 months old, and we've been very happy with the care they've received. It's clear the staff prioritise wellbeing and development, and our boys have loved their time there. As they've moved into the bigger room, they've enjoyed even more outdoor activities, especially forest play and hands-on experiences like food preparation. It's been wonderful to see them grow and form friendships. The food is excellent-both boys eat well and love the chef! We've also appreciated the approachable staff, regular updates, and parents' evenings. We're really happy with our choice of Kids Capers
We have had a very positive experience with Kids Capers. Both of our children are there and they are very happy and well looked after. The facilities are great, and I'm always reassured that the nursery is clean and well maintained. I was really encouraged by the time the nursery put in to make sure my youngest was settled before starting her full days. My eldest has learnt a huge amount since starting at Kids Capers and I'm always really grateful for the staff there. The manager is always prompt to respond to phone calls and emails, nothing is ever too much trouble. Definitely recommend this nursery!
My daughter has been attending Kids Capers since October 2022 and we have always been pleased with the staff and the care she receives. Their have been some recent changes to staff which has been dealt with extremely well by the nursery management and my daughter has arrived home to tell me about the wonderful activities she has been doing with the team, including going to the woods to gather wild garlic and singing together.
We really enjoy the stay and play day opportunities to see a day in the life of our little ones and for them to show us all their favourite parts of nursery. The team done a great job setting up fun activities across different areas so you can fully explore the environments. It's lovely to be able to see the kids interacting with each other and a chance to meet other parents. The fire pit roasting hot cross buns and marshmallows was a nice touch! Look forward to the next one.
Our son has been attending Kid Capers since he was 9 months old and enrolling him was one of the best decisions we have ever made. He has thrived during his time there over the past two and a half years, and the staff have been attentive, caring and supportive throughout. He has learnt and developed skills that he would not have gained elsewhere. Thanks again to the manager and the team!
I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks to you and the entire team for organizing such a wonderful Stay and Play on Saturday. It was truly a joy to see just how much my son enjoys his time at nursery and how comfortable and happy he was. Once again, the staff were so incredibly kind and warm, and we feel so fortunate to have a nursery that offers my son everything we could possibly wish for. From the amazing care and education to the delicious meals, but most importantly, the safety and love you provide. We are beyond grateful. Thank you for everything you do! Kind Regards.
I think this nursery is brilliant. I always recommend and have made my son's journey in nursery fantastic. I will be gutted when he leaves in September to attend school. We moved away when my son was 2 and yet kept him at this nursery as was so good
Our daughter joined Kidscapers in July 23. Initially, everything went well until a few months in when the nursery moved her to the older room meant for 2.5-5-year-olds when she was still settling in and a little over 2 years old. Despite assurances it became obvious that the move was premature resulting in her regressing to being deeply upset both at drop off’s and pick-ups. This was made worse by what we can only describe as virtually non-existent communication both by Nursery management who refused to meet us face to face and her key worker who on the few times was seen gave us little insight into how our daughters day to day was. One included the fact that on arrival of her being emotional, she was handed a tablet with Cocomelon to calm her down! In short, we found the nursery to consider ratios more than a child’s needs, and on more than one occasion came away feeling like it was a creche more than a nursery. Which led us to making the difficult decision to move our daughter last month.
We had to withdraw our daughter from Kids Capers due to health and safety concerns over her milk allergy. In the space of a few weeks, they gave her food containing milk twice, even though she is dairy-free and has an allergy so severe that she can be hospitalised. Both times she was ill as a result of these mistakes. We met with management who took our complaint seriously and a report we made to OFSTED has been followed up (you can google their OFSTED reports), however, we didn’t feel it was safe to leave our daughter there. We never saw the nursery allergy policy or any other policies and procedures during our daughters’ time so if you have a child with allergies, I really urge you to speak to the nursery to make sure proper procedures are in place so your experience is more positive than ours was.
The team were excellent while my daughter, who now loves nursery, was settling in. She had not been away from me before and they were fabulous. She now loves nursery and after each session I hear how much she has been doing from playing with sand, glitter and glue to being outside or in the sensory room. A massive thank you to the staff, knowing she enjoys it, makes leaving her, a tiny bit easier.
All good.
Both my sons have attended this nursery - my youngest one still does. The environment is warm, bright and colourful. There is good outdoor space which, while not extensive is well used and interesting. The staff are caring and professional, and they know the children judging by parents evenings and informal feedback. Even though we have moved a little further from the nursery I continue to use them as I feel very confident in their ability to care for my child. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
I am a mother to a 3 year old boy in the Rainbow room of kids capers. My son first started in the Sunshine room aged 7 months and has been going full time ever since. My son is always happy to be at nursery and has made some wonderful friends, as have I. I have never had to fight with him, to go to nursery, but often have to drag him out as he doesn’t want to leave! In the Rainbow room, every day is different. They have stations set up so the children can move around freely joining in activities as they wish, the have free access in and out of the fantastic gardens that are secure, partially covered and very highly maintained. They have a sensory room, a story room, interactive television, story headsets and every toy imaginable! The nursery is always clean, and seems very well organised. Staff seem happy and are very friendly. Due to the location, the nursery also have access to the playground next door and the woodlands that adjoin the grounds. As the nursery manager is training to be a Forest School Leader, they are in the woods weekly, learning about animals, nature, woodlands as well as gardening and okaying games. The nursery also have a minibus, that they use for trips out. My son has been to Beaver Water World, Nutfield Priory Farm nature trail, Glovers Woods and Santa’s grotto in the town. He, like all the children love the trips. In addition to trips out, the nursery also organise an annual visit from the local fire station, the fire fighters bring a fire engine and let the kids on board an spray the hoses, whilst learning about fires. There is so much I haven’t even included, regular parents evenings, on-line secure learning journals that you can view and add to, summer Tea parties, fancy dress days, face painting, baking, Christmas Show, BBQ’s, the list could go on… I would highly recommend this nursery. We see them as out extended family. My son calls it ‘Nursery home’ – Says it all!
After initial teething problems with the nursery we believe they have taken on board feedback and enhanced the experience for both of our children and ourselves. A majority of staff are very approachable and helpful in assisting with queries, in particular the use of the reward chart to encourage good behaviour. We will be sending our third child in the future there as well as we believe that there is a good approach to the care and development of the children.
