Our daughter loves going to nursery at High House. The staff are amazing and she has learnt so much whilst being there, especially getting ready for school. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone
Our daughters experience at this nursery's has been absolutely amazing. She had moved from a previous nursery and was made so welcome. All the staff are so polite and welcoming would highly recommend this nursery
My son is extremely happy at High House, he is learning something new every day and loves playing with his friends and nursery staff! The staff are all amazing and my son loves them, which really puts my mind at rest. Thank you. :)
My daughter has been in High House since she was 19 months old. She absolutely loves it, made new friends and developed all her social skills. All the staff are friendly, well-experienced, and nothing is too much. The lady from management has been extremely helpful with me and my requests. I am so lucky that my daughter is thriving in such a safe and friendly environment.
My daughter is always very happy to go to nursery & is always happy at pick up. Her key worker has been excellent and has made a very good effort at forming a bond.
An amazing nursery, my son has SEN problems, and they have been brilliant with getting him to drink and eat. He has learned so much, and his speech has come on so much with their help. The manager has been amazing, she has gone above and beyond to help me with his problems and always finds a solution to help him. Best nursery he has been to, and currently helping him get ready for school.
High House is a really lovely nursery where they help the children settle. All the staff are kind and friendly.
My son is very happy at High House. He is always happy to go in the morning and comes back home each day and tells us what he has learned. We are getting more frequent updates on the activities the kids are enjoying each day, what they’re eating and observations about our son’s progress. A huge effort is made by the manager and the team to make High House a welcoming, fun, safe and learning environment. The staff are all friendly and approachable and frequently ask for feedback so they can implement positive change at the nursery.
Lovely nursery. Lots of different activities and lots of parent involvement. Great outdoor space with lots of learning opportunities. Pumpkin trail was great fun and so was the parent tea. Good selection of food and opportunities to get involved for the children.
Our son has recently moved up to the barn, and we could not be happier with his progress. The ladies work very hard to provide entertaining and educational activities for the children. They spend lots of time outdoors, which is really important to us. Thank you very much, High House!
My little one has had a difficult time adjusting to nursery, and even though mornings remain tricky, the staff throughout are absolutely wonderful. My little one always comes home with a smile on his face, telling me all about the ducks and his adventures outside, with remnants of fun arts and crafts on his hands. I love to see the updates of what they’ve got up to throughout the day. I’m always impressed that even management welcomes my little one by his name and knows him as an individual and how he is progressing personally. It’s positive to see investment going into the facilities, the room my little one is in is vibrant and stimulating, but I value most the time the staff take to get the children outside come rain or shine, and when picking up in an evening, there’s a vibe of tired but happy and content little ones. Happy son, happy mum!
My daughter has been at High House for almost a year from 11 months and she has thrived! The staff are attentive, communicative and caring and the management are transparent and trying to offer the best nursery experience possible. She has developed very well. The outdoor area and Forest School is awesome too.
The barn has come a long way with their room leader, she ensures the children are provided with fun and educational activities every day and has the greatest sense of imagination I've come across yet! Staff are a great assest to the nursery, they communicate tremendously, being able to listen, empathise, provide support and take action to any issues raised. I feel reassured when my daughter is in their care.
My son attends this nursery and the staff have a naturally caring nature when it comes to settling children. It feels me with such confidence in the staff when I ask my son how his day at nursery has been he's able to recall some wonderful activities he's done and tells me how much he enjoys going to his nursery now. As a working parent, I feel very much involved in what's going on in my son's nursery with stay-and-play sessions for parents to attend and updates on social media.
Our daughter really enjoys the days she’s at High House Nursery. The staff are incredibly friendly and the conditions are very clean (considering a lot of children are constantly playing with toys and enjoying themselves). Recently, all parents are kept in the loop with notice boards and regular updates on what the children will be learning on the day/week they attend the nursery, including what food is on the menu for the week! We have never had to force our daughter to attend as she really looks forward to seeing her friends, interacting with the staff and really enjoying herself at High House Nursery.
The team at High House Nursery have worked so hard over the past year to improve the experience for my daughters and all the children. It’s been a challenging time for all preschool service providers, made even more difficult by the change of ownership. The manager has deftly steered the ship day by day to enable a stable learning environment for the children. I love hearing all about the day my children have had and see how energised they are when I pick them up.
We have been very happy with the nursery for our little boy, he attended the setting for just over 5 months and we were sad when we had to leave. The staff have been great! They were very caring with him, they made him feel at ease and happy and the communication with us was amazing, they have always kept us up-to-date. I would recommend High House Nursey!
Been downgraded to "Requires Improvement" by Ofsted despite what the manager's email signature says. The place is a shambles at the moment. Staff are leaving. I've been told their morale is very low. The communication from the management is dreadful. Decision-making is terrible. My son was sent out in the cold without his jacket but some random child's thin rain mac onesie. Some of the meals my vegetarian son has been given have either contained meat or "potato and vegetables". I'm pretty sure most parents are looking to move their kids away from this nursery. It's that bad.
I have been very happy with High House Nursery for my two boys. I have felt very comfortable knowing they were safe and happy when I am at work. The staff are very friendly and built good relationships with my children and helped prepare them for school.
