View Full Details of Pony & Panda Bilingual Nursery at WimbledonWe have friends with children in other nurseries and hear many stories. We tend not to mention our experience at Pony & Panda, to avoid making them feel even worse. But the truth is, this nursery is fantastic. Where to begin? The longstanding team is wonderful and nothing like the staff elsewhere. The children do trips out every day. The food is better than we eat at home for lunch. It's genuinely bilingual, with an international group of families. Like most nurseries there is an app, but unlike most nurseries they take the time to post photos, videos, food, sleep and nappy updates. They follow an early years curriculum and the children are constantly doing science experiments, cookery, art, music etc. The venue is perfect with no miserable little sections/rooms. I could go on. What are the downsides? None, unless you count (1) our child not wanting to leave at the end of the day, or (2) our sense of inadequacy as parents when we try to compete with the fun stuff they do at nursery
We moved our kid here from another Wimbledon nursery when we instinctively felt he wasn't really getting very close care and attention. It's been the best decision! The manager and her team at Pony & Panda are not just excellent teachers and carers, but more importantly we can just tell that they personally all really like and adore the kids they're looking after, so we feel so at ease now everyday when we drop our son off. And every day when we pick him up, we can just tell that he's had the most wonderful day from his big smiles and energy. I can wholeheartedly recommend.
Our son has been going here since he was 1 year old. I was concerned about sending him at such an early age and whether he would eat/nap there as he was doing at home. Nursery was super flexible accommodating to his schedule that we set at home - he slept with ease since Day 1. Staff shares daily updates and photos which are the highlights of my day! Our son always goes in smiling and happy when we go to pick him up. He is still not talking so can't comment on bilingual study's impact but he has great friends and caring staff with him every day all day so I cannot ask for more!
Daughter has been attending for approaching a year and can't speak highly enough of the benefits it's had for her. She can't wait to go in the mornings and has always had a great day when she is collected. The syllabus and activities on a daily basis are brilliant, as are the staff and the ongoing feedback they provide, and it's just a very nice nurturing environment for a little person to develop in.
Our daughter has been going to Pony and Panda since she was 15 months old. The moment we made our first visit, we knew this was the right setting for her. The staff are warm, caring, and attentive. Being a bilingual nursery, this is a big plus for us as we would like our daughter to be exposed to Mandarin as much as possible. She has learnt so much and is always happy and looking forward to going to the nursery. I highly recommend this nursery to any parents who are looking for a nurturing and loving environment for their child!
My son attends Pony & Panda Bilingual Nursery 5 days a week. He had learned mandarin in Beijing, and was happy to continue his bilingual education here. He enjoys the teachers, other students, food, and outdoor activities. Pony & Panda is a good choice at a reasonable price for bilingual English-Mandarin education in London.
Our 2 year old has been at Pony & Panda Bilingual Nursery for a few months now, and we're really happy with the school. The teachers are super friendly, and the lessons are great. We get daily updates on activities and progress, just what you'd expect from a top-tier nursery. He literally jumps out of bed in the morning when we say he's going to school and often doesn't want to leave at pickup - a great sign he's loving it there. The place has a homely feel and a nice environment, nothing like some nurseries we visited that felt overcrowded and with overwhelmed teachers.
