Honestly can't praise this nursery enough. I was so nervous about my child starting. But from the very first day, the staff completely put me at ease. Their reassurance, and genuine kindness instantly made me feel like we were in the right place.
My little boy has settled in so quickly it
honestly amazed me. It feels like he's been going to nursery for ages already - he's happy, confident, and comfortable, which is everything you could hope for as a parent. Seeing how at ease he is has been such a huge relief.
The staff are absolutely wonderful, caring, and always approachable. You can tell they truly love what they do.
I also absolutely love how much outdoor play they do. It means so much to me knowing my child is active, exploring, and enjoying fresh air as part of his daily routine :)

We have two children that go to Whitegate Preschool and they absolutely love every day they go, there is always a wide range of activities for them to do and they are also in the garden playing, the staff are super attentive to all the children and friendly towards parents and interact every day
telling you what your child/children have been up to, would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of sending their child here.

My child has settled so amazingly here in the last few months. We love the setting and so does our child. The staff have been good at settling our child who can be a little upset at drop off. The interactive music and movement day was her favourite.

Since starting at S4YC @ Whitegate Preschool eighteen months ago, our daughter has not looked back. She is sad when it's not a preschool day and has formed a lovely bond with her key worker. The facilities and environment promote being out in nature and the children are able to decide and play with
what interests them. At Whitegate Preschool, a lot of normal everyday items and wooden toys are played with rather than lots of plastic toys. It is a wholesome environment and we are happy with the choice we made in sending our daughter there. If there were wrap-around care options we would send our daughter more days. Unfortunately, the 15:30 finish is too early due to work commitments.

My son has attended this nursery since turning 2 last summer. He has settled really well thanks to the ever smiling and welcoming staff along with new and interesting activities he experiences each time he attends. Despite quite a few staff changes in recent months, due to change of ownership and
management, the staff have reassured parents and my son feels very happy to go to his morning sessions.
I love that each child is celebrated at Whitegate. I chose this setting for the rural connection, outdoor choice of play provision and experiences, as well as freedom for the curriculum to come to him; a very strong ethos of allowing children to make mistakes and grow in confidence as well as developing skills that will ultimately prepare him for school.
The only things that I would like to see happen is the parking area improved (although difficult as to who owns it), as well as safer crossing for the main road. Additionally, a flattened grass area for outdoor play as all uphill.

I wanted to share what an amazing team they are at S4YC @ Whitegate. My little boy started in September in the preschool room, he settled in straight away and absolutely loves going! They always update the journal and it’s lovely to see what he gets up to throughout the week! He has flourished since
being there and I cannot wait to send my youngest when he is old enough!

My little boy has been attending Whitegate now since the beginning of 2023. He absolutely loves it here and it shows. Even in his tough times, being overwhelmed and with changes, the staff at Whitegate have supported him and myself through it and this is what makes it more than just a nursery, it's
a second home for my boy. A home from home where I know he's cared for, safe, supported and he has fun. Thank you for all your ongoing support and being such a big part in his life, this time is so crucial for any child and knowing how caring and understanding you have all been makes me proud to say he's in the best place. It's also lovely hearing him talk about nursery while at home, it melts my heart and this is how I know it's a place he loves to be. Thank you all so much, it really is appreciated.
