This nursery is excellent. The staff genuinely care about our daughter, and the other parents we know have the same experience. When we see our daughter's nursery mates out and about, they all call her name and want her to play with them, which is wild because she is only 15 months old and can just about walk. Some of the children who want to play with her are between two and four years old. You get the sense that not only do they teach and look after the children well, but they also foster friendship and establish community amongst them, which for us is one of the most important lessons we can teach our children.

It's hard to find the right words, but I'd say that this nursery was a kind of second home for our son. He was happy there from the very beginning till' time we had to move. The classroom is spacious, the stuff is caring and the place itself is spectacular - right at the waterfront. Honestly, highly recommend.

We love the Pier Head Prep School! Here's why: - Family-owned nursery: The Pier Head is a small structure where the turnover is very low. My eldest attended 5 years ago, and the staff is almost exactly the same. This is extremely positive for the child's experience, as changes in carers can be distressful for children. All staff members are very loving. My daughter loves going there! - Montessori curriculum: a lot of practical life activities - ideal for this age group! Their routine is also very structured and varied. - Location: the children are in a very spacious room overlooking the Thames. Lots of daylight coming in, and also a nice garden area where they go all year round and where they can play with equipment and sand/water. I highly recommend this unique nursery!! My daughter will start school next year, but will be back at Pier Head for the holiday clubs!

You have a fantastic team there, each time my nephew comes home he has a lot of good things to say, and his vocabulary is improving daily. You gave great outdoor and indoor facilities to keep everyone occupied.

We've had a wonderful experience with Pier Head Prep School. And highly recommend it to other parents. The staff are not only well-qualified but also compassionate, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the children. The facility is is very clean no toys ever look dull always have new toys and activities out , and strict safety measures are in place, ensuring a secure and healthy environment. The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate, contributing to my child's cognitive, social, and emotional development. The pier head excels in communication, providing regular updates on my child's activities and learning progress. The staff are flexible and accommodating, making it easier for us as working parents. We wholeheartedly recommend Pier Head Nursery for its exceptional care, dedicated staff, and enriching environment. Thank you especially to my child's teachers and all the team for fostering our child's growth and well-being. We are overall very very happy.

Staff kind and welcoming. Nursery clean and children happy when i have visited. Nice mix outdoor and indoor space with water and sand facilities and messy play. Accommodated our hours and responsive with emails.

Great experience so far. Our little one is very happy and loves the nursery. I was impressed with the great professionalism of all the staff. Also the fees are very competitive. Highly recommended!!!!

We have been attending the school on/off for the past 14yrs as all three of our children attended pre-school since the age of 2. My youngest is the last of all siblings to attend & we are very sad when the day will come that she will need to go off to big school. The school & staff are extremely friendly & is a very nurtured environment. My kids have loved attending Pierhead. The staff make learning fun & enjoyable with themed daily activities. We love receiving photo updates throughout the day, as we can relate to them & discuss the day when they come home, our little one gets very excited to talk about her day. Other nurseries your child feels like just another child on the register, at Pierhead kids are made to feel special & loved, the teachers take into consideration each child's needs & approach them with care & kindness. My kids have fond memories of their early years & love collecting their younger sibling from school & bumping into their old teachers.

Our son is very happy at the nursery and we are too! The teachers are all very experienced and they take very good care of the children. Also the hygiene level is very good. We are informed straight away if there is any concern and the communication is great. From the pictures shared I can see that the children are involved in all kind of activities and our son is learning so much! His language skills and motor skills are developing rapidly

My child has been attending this nursery since March. I'm extremely happy with the overall experience, teachers are extremely supportive and friendly also very informative always sending pictures over or different activities that are done daily. They have a lovely outside area for the children to play in which I was looking for.

I cannot recommend Pier Head Prep Montessori School highly enough! My 3-year-old daughter has been attending for some time now, and we are absolutely thrilled with the experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The teachers are truly outstanding-patient, caring, and incredibly dedicated to each child's individual development. The Montessori approach they follow is fantastic, allowing children to explore and learn at their own pace while fostering independence, confidence, and curiosity.

I've been so pleased with The Pier Head Montessori for my 3-year-old. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming environment that my child loves. I can see how much they've grown in just a short time - not only in terms of learning but also in confidence and independence. The Montessori approach really shines here, with a great balance of structured activities and free play, which encourages my child to explore and learn at their own pace. The communication from the teachers is excellent, and I always feel well-informed about what's going on. I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience at The Pier Head. Our two kids started attending when they were just 18 months and 3 years old, and from day one, it truly felt like a home away from home, we all cried on their last days. The nurturing environment provided by the staff made us feel completely comfortable leaving our little ones in their care. The attention and love they give each child are remarkable. The team creates a warm and inviting atmosphere where kids can thrive, explore, and make friends. My children still talk about their time there with such fondness and consider it a safe haven. We wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any families looking for a loving and supportive place for their kids. It has been an invaluable part of our lives, and we are so grateful for the positive impact it's had on our children!

I'm so pleased we picked this nursery for our child. He was well looked after throughout. We saw our child's willingness to learn and grow and how excited he was to go back every day proved how safe and welcoming The Pier Head is. Please don't hesitate, your child will be happy here.

Our daughter attended The Pier Head and always enjoyed going although now is too old and moving to Reception. The staff are always friendly, kind and attentive to her. Her behaviour had issues from her previous nursery we weren't happy with - this improved dramatically when moving to Pier Head, thanks to the staff being kind and caring towards her and helped hugely. The staff develop genuine bonds with the children and it's evident they care deeply about them at a personal level, which I believe is really important. I cannot thank them all enough for how they have looked after her so well and engaged and challenged her. Everyone is also responsive to the parents either on the door, phone or email. It was with genuine sadness we have had to move on.

My daughter adores going to The Pier Head Prep Montessori School. The teaching and learning activities as well as the learning environment are rich and allow children to flourish. The teachers are loving and caring and I feel my child is safe, listened and attended to. My daughter has made wonderful friends and feels excited about going to the nursery as they have a variety of activities. They have lots of fun. I highly recommend this nursery.

My child has attended this Montessori school for two years- we are truly amazed by her progress and learning achievements. This small school is based on the river Thames with views of the Thames. The setting and staff go beyond the call of duty. I visited other Montessori nurseries near by and they didn't seem like they followed the Montessori ethos.

My niece currently attends Pier Head and cannot fault the staff at all! She always comes home telling us how much fun she has had and is always well cared for by all staff members! The practice is always clean and safe for all children with a wide range of learning activities on display!

This nursery is like family. Small, cosy, warm, caring, full of love and kindness. My neighbours recommended it to me, and I wasn't disappointed. My daughter started here when she was 2, and she has been the happiest little girl since. It's a perfect little mix of good things. The Montessori program is followed very well, and parents are kept posted every step of the way. Children of different ages spend a lot of time together, which pushes them to develop better and form friendships. The team is lovely, easy to communicate with, and they truly care about every child. The space, location and outdoor garden are lovely and just what's needed. And with all this, the nursery is very affordable. Best choice in the area. Thank you team!
