Our journey with Colourbox Barrow started in 2022 when our son started at the Nest. He went through Garden and World Room before starting school last September and we felt so emotional about him moving on, as his time with Colourbox was consistently wonderful in every way. Our little girl joined in
2023 and is now in the Garden Room. Again we are constantly blown away by the level of care, positivity, kindness and education that she benefits from at this nursery. The Colourbox Barrow team members are exactly the people know you can completely trust to do the absolute best for your children and are exceptional at what they do. I also want to reference the quality of the food as this is something really important to us. They provide home cooked, balanced meals that our children have both loved. I would recommend this nursery highly and without hesitation to anyone.

Choosing a nursery is never easy - and with a child who has a complex heart condition requiring daily, life-preserving medication, it felt overwhelming. Our biggest worry was whether anyone could safely manage her medical needs.
From day one, Colourbox Barrow completely reassured us. The staff are
warm, nurturing and highly knowledgeable. They took the time to understand her condition fully, and management are always proactive with any changes to her care. We have never doubted that she is safe.
The blend of Montessori principles with the standard early years curriculum creates a rich, balanced environment. The facilities are excellent, the team are flexible and accommodating, and our daughter has truly thrived. Her development, confidence and independence have flourished.
We are so grateful - it's a shame she has to leave for school!

Our 2 year old thoroughly enjoys the Garden room at Colourbox Barrow. The staff are fantastic and he has a brilliant connection with them all. He loves spending time outside in the garden, which is full of activities.

Our daughter has been at Barrow since she was 11 months old starting in the nest, moving into the garden room and now in their world room. She absolutely loves her days at nursery and the care she receives has been exceptional. The staff have been so wonderful and she talks about them all the time
at home. Watching her develop over the last 2 years has been a delight with a large part of that coming from her time at nursery!

The team, care provision and setting provided to my son by Colourbox Montessori Nursery - Barrow has been nothing short of exceptional. It far exceeds the level of care and encouragement my son was receiving from his previous nursery. Special mentions must go to Ms Jenna, Ms Farrah and Ms Chloe -
but the whole team has been superb. Our only regret is that we didn't send our eldest here as my wife and I feel that he would have also benefited hugely from the Colourbox Montessori Nursery ethos. A huge thanks goes out to the whole team.

We couldn’t be happier with Colourbox Barrow!
Our son started at ‘The Nest’ when he was 10 months old and since day 1 all of the staff have been caring, helpful and attentive. He has grown in confidence, is more adventurous with his food choices and has a huge smile on his face when he arrives.
I
love the daily updates and photos which give us an insight into his day. My son’s allergies are also catered for brilliantly.
For my son, who finds new situations and settings quite daunting, being in the same room since starting has really helped. He loves spending time outside in their gorgeous garden.

I highly recommend this nursery to anyone in the area!
My daughter was at Colourbox Barrow for 2 years, from age 1. They gave her the absolute best start to life and her education. The staff are all amazing and cared for her with love and got to know her. They expanded her knowledge in every aspect
of her learning.
The staff have a great understanding of the Montessori method and I truly believe she would not be the confident little girl she is now without their support.
If we hadn’t moved house she would still be there without doubt.
The staff are amazing and my daughter developed a real love for the nursery. We are so sad to leave.

All the staff involved with Barrow are really friendly and helpful. They create a safe and fun environment for the children and have developed a great relationship with both of my children. They have both learnt so much and developed some really good behaviours and traits from being part of the
nursery.

Our two children have recently joined the nursery. The transition to the new environment has been very well managed by the Colourbox team with both of them becoming settled in very swiftly. The approach to learning is great and the updates on the apps at the end of the day make us feel involved.

Colourbox is a wonderful company and my child loves his setting and it helps with our son's needs.
They have taken everything on board and adapted where necessary to assist.

Thank you to the team at Colourbox Montessori Barrow and Redwoods for giving my son a wonderful experience, along with a great start and foundation for school. His favourite day of the week was attending Redwoods. He loved the teachers and all of the activities. He made some wonderful friends during
his time at nursery and will cherish all the memories.

Such a lovely nursery with great staff. Our son loves going to Colourbox and has come on leaps and bounds since starting there. We are particularly keen on the amount of outdoor play that the children do in the nursery garden.

We love Colourbox Montessori School - Barrow! Our little boy started in February and they have been brilliant every step of the way in helping settle him and ensuring he is always happy. Their attention to detail and the way they get to know each child is wonderful. We have seen huge learning
advances with both our child's vocabulary and understanding of things - and he adores playing in their lovely garden! We would 100% recommend this nursery to other parents.

We couldn't be happier with Colourbox Montessori School - Barrow, both at the Nest and Garden room. We have watched both of our children blossom, grow in confidence and learn so much. Each week they come home with something new, and this is to do with the dedication of the staff. Both of the spaces
are amazing, full of activities to suit their ages. The garden spaces are brilliant. We both feel very happy knowing our children are in safe hands. Would 100% recommend this nursery and have done it to other parents. Thank you to all of the staff at Barrow.

The nursery has really worked on helping to improve my daughter's responses to emotions such as frustration. They have actively taught her skills such as sharing, writing and reading that will be valuable when she starts full-time schooling at the end of summer. The facilities are excellent and
appropriate for each of the age groups within the nursery and the activities are well thought out and executed by the staff. There is a lovely selection of foods and dining facilities that children are able to use to make tea independently towards the end of the school day.

I cannot speak highly enough of Colourbox Montessori School - Barrow and all the members of staff who work there. My little boy has been going for eighteen months and has loved it since day one. The daily routines make him feel confident and focused and give us lots to talk about when he gets home.
The updates given at the end of the day also allow us to have lots of great conversations about what he's been learning and the friends he's been making. Our little boy lost his granddad recently who he was very close to and the staff have been absolutely amazing with the support they offered to both him and us as a family. They even recommended books which helped and made sure they spoke about what was happening using the same terminology we were using at home. It really felt like we were a team, which made it all a little easier. They have also been fully involved and engaged with the speech difficulties my son is experiencing. Again, I feel so supported and know they are doing everything possible to help my son thrive.

The staff are very caring and attentive to my daughter's needs. The relaxed learning environment which really promotes independence, self-confidence and personal growth is great and the best decision we made as parents. No doubt I would recommend this nursery to any parent, family and friends. The
communication with us is also very good.

I highly recommend this nursery to anyone in the area!
