View Full Details of Fairfield Preparatory SchoolBoth of my children thoroughly enjoyed kindergarten at Fairfield Prep School. It is an amazing setting with brilliant teachers and just a lovely environment for them to start their educational journey in. I think it works really well that it is its own separate space yet they still get to access the school and get them used to being around older children, with visits to the library, use of the PE hall, visits to Forest School, etc. There is also a bit of structure to their day which I think helps them prepare for school, but with so many fun activities they are exposed to. The class sizes are small which is also lovely. The facilities are brilliant with a covered and uncovered outside area, a sensory room, their own dining hall. I couldn't recommend it enough.
My son's kindergarten has been a wonderful experience for our family. The environment is warm, positive, and truly welcoming from the moment you walk through the door. The teaching staff are passionate, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to each child's growth and happiness. We've been impressed by the engaging activities, supportive atmosphere, and the fantastic facilities that encourage learning and play. We feel grateful to have found such a nurturing place for our child.
My daughter just joint the kindergarten in November this year, and it was her brother who start from the same classroom 9 years ago that took her in! This is a very good school particularly if you want your kid to enjoy creative learning. They have a very structured learning schedule but it is fun as well. Weekly newsletters come out every Friday so you know exactly which they are teaching. From Phonics to Spanish, Sign Language to Shapes. There is just so much for them to do! Weekly forest school is a highlight for my daughter as she likes making a mess. She is now 'practicing' her nativity song at home and said she has to get it right because she needs to perform on stage. BIG responsibility for a 3 year old but she's loving it! 9 years ago I asked my son what did he learn in school. He thought long and hard and said he doesn't know. But he went home, read his little story books, sang his songs and told me what happened in forest school. That's what a good school do!
Wonderful setting and amazing teachers. So much care goes into their learning and help him them settle. This is a perfect setting to prepare children for Reception and my little girl has thrived since she started. They do so many additional activities like ballet, forest school, music and languages with specialist teachers. Couldn't recommend it more!
A lovely setting with amazing facilities and brilliant teaching staff. There is so much focus on the individual abilities and tailored appropriate to the child's needs. Both our daughters went to the nursery and have continued in to the prep school Fully recommend it.
The BEST standard of care to be found for young children. Learning through all kinds of different experiences, connection to the real world and in an environment that fosters independence in a safe way. The teachers are an extension of our family, the lessons are full of fun and varied (forest school, music, PE, yoga, ballet, languages), they have visits from older children at the school, animals, external visitors and school trips too. They read, they bake, they learn about kindness and giving back, they learn boundaries, respect and look out for one another ..and they play A LOT. This is the best start for any young person and we feel very fortunate that it was the start we were able to give to our little boy.
