Our experience with the nursery has been positive from the start. The setting is welcoming and cosy, and our little one has thrived since going there. The staff are lovely and communication has been a key part of the setting.

My daughter has been attending since she was 10 months old. She is now 16 months and I could not be happier with my decision to send her to this nursery. I initally was really nervous to put her into a childcare environment but from her first session I felt very reassured and that she was being really well looked after. This is evident in the way she happily goes into nursery and I really appreciate how staff members go above and beyond, welcoming her in warmly and knowing what her favourite toys are and making sure these are accessible to her. Communication is good and I am well informed about her day. I particularly love seeing all of her observations and photos of all of the fun activities that she has been involved in. I would not hesitate in recommending this nursery.

So pleased with how my daughters speech has come on since been at nursery. She has also learnt to play with other children and would always come home telling me how much fun she's had. Her counting and singing has also improved since starting.

I highly recommend Children 1st @ Newark Town. My son has been attending the nursery since 2021 (10 months old). Before selecting this nursery, I had done thorough research and visited a few in the area. This nursery won me over with its attitude towards learning (and Ofsted rating), the warmth and professionalism of its teachers, the building and garden in the back, and its central location (in the heart of Newark). My son has thrived here. He has a mild lisp, which was identified by his teachers early on and was referred to a Speech & Language Therapist. At the same time, his teachers have been working with him following the SALT's recommendations, and I can see great improvement. We are always kept informed about his progress, either through the nursery app or verbal feedback from his teachers, who are happy to talk with us at the end of his session and answer any questions we might have or give guidance. I'm a very happy parent and already registered my baby daughter.

My son has been since September 2024 and he really enjoys going and the staff are all really helpful and informative. All the staff let me know how my son has been each day and what he's done and ate for the day and how much he's ate or slept which I think is really usual for me to know.

My child has been attending Children 1st at Newark Town - I was so anxious to leave him at a nursery and felt so guilty, but he is truly having the most amazing time there. The staff are very understanding of his personality and needs and I know he has developed significantly because of his time there and with everything the staff do. The baby room staff are who he mainly comes across but they are all amazing and he is happy going to anyone there! The managers and everyone you speak to are always very friendly and the whole set up is very well managed. The food has been amazing to progress his eating and the activities are varied, educational and relevant to his age. Whenever I drop him off I know there will be something new out for him to explore and it has made his world so much bigger. A very happy parent and a super happy child. Highly recommend!!!

From day 1 my son has loved going to this nursery, and can not wait to get through the front door every morning. He's got a fantastic relationship with the staff, especially the two ladies in the baby room, and I can walk away knowing he's in a loving and fun environment. They get to know the children's favourite foods and activities and tailor their day so they have the best time. The nursery itself is incredibly accommodating and I know any questions I have they're only a phone call away. I could not recommend this nursery enough, they go above and beyond every day.

Both of my children go to the nursery and we have had fantastic experiences through all the rooms from the baby room up to the Early Years. Staff are enthusiastic and make real efforts to know every child as an individual. There is a varied range of activities planned every day to engage the children, with a real emphasis on developing relationships both with nursery staff and the other children at the nursery. Staff are well trained to support children to meet age-appropriate speech, language, and communication targets (through play!) and these are regularly communicated at home. They use their outdoor space regularly (normally multiple times a day), which was a big attraction for us as our boys love being outside. We couldn’t recommend it more.

Both of my daughters have/are at Children 1st @ Newark Town. The care and support they've received has been excellent all the way through and I'm so grateful to them. All the staff members are so kind and caring.

My son continues to learn across a variety of learning areas. He enjoys coming to nursery and has made many friends. I consider the nursery a safe environment for my son and I receive good, honest feedback after each visit. There are plenty of themed days which provide variety and additional learning opportunities. The nursery is always kept clean inside and out. Communications are good and some of the more difficult nursery-parent comms are very well articulated. The only areas for potential improvement are try and teach the kids that they don't get pudding if they don't eat any dinner (maybe this is taught, I’m not sure). It seems a little crowded lately, but there’s always additional staff looking after the children.

Children 1st @ Newark Town has been a fantastic nursery for our daughter who started with them over a year ago. The nursery has supported my daughter despite her having long periods of requiring specialist care, and have been extremely flexible when illness and work requirements have meant we've needed to change our hours at very short notice. The staff are fantastic and my very nervous and clingy (to me) daughter is always extremely happy to go, and reluctant to leave! I am so glad we chose the nursery and I intend for her to be there right up to starting school.

Absolutely brilliant nursery, staff and surroundings! My child goes two days a week and soon my daughter will be starting. Since my son has started he is thriving in his growing and learning. He loves going, never an issue dropping him off in a morning. The staff are so caring and accommodating and I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

My daughter loves going to Children 1st in Newark Town, the welcome is very warm every day, some beautiful big smiles to greet us as we work through the hallways and up the stairs to early years. The feedback on handover at point of collection is detailed with activities undertaken and the menu of the day. My daughter attends on a flexible pattern, the nursery are so accommodating to this and actually understand that parents have to work shifts, which not all nurseries do! The online platform that they use is detailed, the observations that get uploaded are wonderful, heartwarming and have pictures, this is fabulous as it allows us to see what our little one has been up to as well as hear about it. I would highly recommend this nursery, and wish that my daughter had started here earlier.

I have sent both my children here and they have progressed amazingly since attending! Staff go above and beyond for all the children and it’s so lovely to see the connections they form with the kids. My youngest absolutely hated being away from me and he’s now happy to skip into nursery and be left with his favourite ladies. His speech and confidence and every aspect about him has come on so well since being at Children 1st and I genuinely wouldn’t have him go anywhere else. I always have and always will recommend this nursery without skipping a beat to anyone who asks questions regarding childcare.

My little boy has recently started and he’s loving it and seems really really happy there! Settling in really well, always getting positive feedback from the amazing staff who are always so helpful. He is developing so well in all different areas and since starting with Children 1st he is learning so fast and excited to learn more. Couldn't wish for a better nursery!

The staff at Newark Town are welcoming and kind and have a genuine care for the children. I have 2 children at the nursery and both love going. My 4-year-old amazes me with what she learns at nursery. I would totally recommend to any parent.

My little boy has settled in really well to this nursery. I feel happy to leave him there, knowing he is in good care. I have not tried other nurseries in the area, but after looking around some, this was the only one I liked. Bright and colourful inside, clean and full of toys to play with, and the ladies who work there are all so nice and helpful, nothing is ever a problem for them, and they definitely go out of their way to make sure you are happy with everything! Lovely garden as well, with a great space for the kids to run around.

I couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough. They have been absolutely amazing with both my girls and so helpful with all their needs. The staff are amazing and always so friendly and welcoming all whilst with a smile on their faces.

Absolutely amazing nursery! They have encouraged my son to grow so much, he's learnt so many new things and is slowly learning to talk as he was behind on this and I'm so happy I chose this nursery for him to attend.
