Our youngest is currently at Dickybirds (in the baby room) since early January and the staff have been fantastic. They took the time to prepare with set in days in December and he has blossomed since, becoming more confident in social interactions, more interested in trying new foods, and generally
a happy boy when he is picked up each evening. They really go above and beyond and we would have no hesitation to recommending the nursery to other parents. Special shout out to Nahid who is always there with a smile to offer advice and give us feedback on how our son is doing. And to all the baby room and management for supporting us.

The team are committed, friendly and reliable. I recently had a close and unexpected bereavement and they took my child in on the day of the funeral at no extra charge.
Day-to-day, they provide lots of experiences such as painting, garden time, sand play, bubbles, reading as a group and trips to
the park.
They check in on sickness, and highlight issues they see, once leading us to get checked out and ultimately a 2 night hospital stay.
Everything they do is recorded on an app, including what food is eaten, with pictures and occasional key-stage updates. They also send weekly group emails with roundups of the week.
They are active on events too. In nearly a year we have had parents evenings and various themed parties for parents and children so we could meet other parents too.
I can only give 4/5 on management as there have been a few changes at short notice.

The staff are very supportive. Just worry they are in much pressure as seems quite short of staff from time to time. Improvement on the app is great so therebus more clarification on if the child has soiled and how many times nappies were changed

We are very happy that we chose Dicky Birds Dundonald for our children. Our oldest left to start school, while our youngest is still there. We had a really good impression of it from day one, which has been confirmed over time. The staff is great, very helpful, and some of them have their own
children there. We also like the space, especially the outdoors bit, of which they make good use.

My son always looked forward to going into the nursery, so does his little sister now. We are a family who have been with the nursery for many years through multiple kids, and we are not the only one.

Our eldest daughter attended this nursery straight through from 11 months to when she left for school in September. Our youngest has now been at the nursery for over a year. We are really happy with the nursery, it is small and personal and they know our daughters really well and always seem to have
their best interests in mind.

We feel very lucky that our daughter attended Dicky Birds Dundonald Road for almost 3 years - across the Baby, Toddler and Pre-School rooms. The environment is safe, clean and engaging, there are interesting daily activities (with lots of time outside including excursions to the local park) and a
varied nutritious menu. Communications are clear and timely. What has really set the nursery apart for us, has been the incredible team. All staff are friendly, warm, caring and welcoming, and have built really strong relationships with our daughter which has set her up for school with no concerns. Thank you Team Dundonald Rd!

Our son joined 'Woodpecker' in Dicky Birds Day Nursery (Dundonald) after we decided to change his nursery. We believe we made the right decision. The nursery is smaller compared to other Dicky Bird Day Nurseries. This is what we like as it is easy to communicate with the staff and managers there.
Low staff turnover also gives children a stable mental environment. Our son enjoyed every day there and never cried or refused to go to nursery. He enjoyed all the activities: show and tell, weekly sports lessons and especially the forest school away from the nursery. We wish we had sent him to this nursery earlier. We would like to say thank you to the management and all the staff who looked after him. To one of the main carers "You are such a good friend" as our little one said. We would like to especially thank my son's main carer for looking after him, sorting out his potty training and eating issues almost immediately which had been our headache for years. We wish you all the best in the future.

Both my children attended Dicky Birds Dundonald Road Nursery at the age of 9 months. We love the staff and manager at the nursery. They are engaging and really care about the children and it's a great environment for the children to spend their days playing and learning. We feel very safe having our
kids there and feel that they've been looked after well. The food is varied and nutritious and has greatly helped shape our kids into non-fussy eaters. The garden is a lovely space and there are frequent outings to the lovely parks and outdoor space next to the nursery. The staff are motivated to provide the best learning-through-play in each of the age group rooms. Our kids loved going to nursery and we will miss all the lovely staff and managers there. Thank you Dicky Birds!

My 1-year-old daughter is now attending Dicky Birds Day Nursery and Preschool Wimbledon, Dundonald Road. It’s such a caring and friendly place to attend. Carers in the baby room love children. My little one loves going to nursery. Highly recommended.

The staff at the nursery are really good with the children, warm, welcoming and very engaging. The management team is very involved and up to date about what's happening with each child. The children have a lot of variety in their activities and we often get very cute and thoughtful art pieces to
take home. Some thoughts for further improvement: It would be helpful to get more details about meals eaten (type of food, drinks etc). Some younger children in the senior room don't take part in every activity. It would be lovely to see everyone involved in all activities. Newly toilet trained children would benefit from more information at handover about what they attempted and achieved each day. Children also need extra help with toilet use until they are more comfortable with it. If big decisions are being made about a child's comforter, it would be useful to agree that in advance with the parents, to avoid upset. It would be good to use washable paint, to keep clothes clean.

Amazing nursery with lovely, caring staff who give a warm welcome to my daughter every day. She has learned and developed so much since she joined the nursery and is always so happy to go to see her teachers and friends. I would highly recommend Dick Birds Dundonald Nursery to everyone!

Our two kids both went to this nursery, their happy faces are the best endorsement of the quality care they received. The staff is very attentive and caring. We are delighted to see how our kids are prepared for the next school.
We are always happy to recommend the nursery to other families. We
love the sense of community in this nursery, many families have all their siblings in the nursery, and the staff know the children since they are young and have been with them during their early years.

This is an amazing nursery, the staff are so caring and really tend to the needs of each individual child. My little boy loves going to nursery and always comes out with a smile, he’s learning loads and developing so quickly thanks to the amazing staff at the nursery!

I’ve had both my kids at Dicky Birds, so they are like family. The staff are attentive, and the kids thrive in the environment. Kids love/d going to nursery, and they seem to just have so much fun! From a learning perspective, they follow the standard curriculum, so no complaints there.

Staff go the extra mile to ensure children are comfortable in the nursery setting once they join the nursery. As a new parent, I was extremely worried about my girl feeling good in the nursery, and I am impressed by how understanding and supporting the staff have been. Overall, we are happy we

Very pleased with the nursery. The staff and the managers are caring, warm and tentative! They are so passionate and always excited to keep us posted with our little one’s daily updates. Our son settled in so well and he is very happy! Highly recommended nursery!

We just moved and we heard a lot of good things about the nursery from parents and neighbours and decided to send my son to this nursery. I love that they have very flexible and long settling sessions which is just perfect for my son’s personality. Carers are extremely caring.
I’m also very
impressed with the amount of different activities they do. Overall I’m very happy and wish I knew about it earlier.
