We hadn't expected to have to make a last minute change of nursery so when it happened it was very stressful. Busy Bees at Forres Street and Claire and all the team could not have made the experience any more welcoming and reassuring. As our 15 month old daughter joined she was made to feel at home and loved from the first moment. There is a lovely staff energy and a great diversity in the team which enriches the care. Our daughter settled so quickly and the staff worked hard to quickly establish trusting nurturing relationships with her so she could confidentiality flourish. Leaving your child in the care or another is the ultimate leap of faith and Busy Bees at Forres Street have delighted and reassured us all at all stages. I hope other little people and families get to enjoy their wonderful care also.

Busy Bees Forres Street has been an incredible for both my young children (aged 1 and 3) and myself as a father. The team there deliver a thoughtful, bespoke experience, and have been very tentative to my family's unique needs. I highly recommend Busy Bees Forres Street to Edinburgh parents. Firstly, the Centre Director has been warm, welcoming and responsive. The team she manages are a testament to her professionalism. She is very present and always has the door open for me. This is such a relief as I'm comfortable knowing that I'm always in the loop about my children's development and progress. My eldest is seen to by two members of staff, who have been very communicative with me as a parent about his developmental milestones. My youngest is seen to by another member of staff, he has only started but has instantly developed chemistry and a bond with the staff around him which is very encouraging. The entire Forres Street team are brilliant, and as a parent, I can't thank them enough!

We all would like to share some feedback over the last months with you. When we first viewed the nursery to see if it would be the right place for my son, it was undergoing renovations. Despite that, we could immediately tell how well-organised everything was, as the work didn't affect the children's needs in any way. We loved the nursery instantly, and soon after, my son joined. As the renovations continued, we saw a huge improvement-the space became even more organised, cozy, and baby-friendly, encouraging play and exploration in new areas. He comes home exhausted each day, and although he can't yet tell me everything, it's clear he's had a great time. He's always learning something new-using colours and apples to make shapes on paper, singing, dancing, playing in the sand, and so much more. The team is wonderful. Each child is given individual attention while still maintaining a consistent routine. We couldn't wish for a better place for him. We absolutely love the nursery

We have had a really good experience with Forres Street. One of the things we really appreciate is how much time the children get to spend outdoors - it's great to see them getting plenty of fresh air and enjoying nature. The nursery offers a nice variety of activities (including yoga, dance sessions, arts, even language lessons), which keeps things interesting and helps support different areas of development. The setting itself has been recently refurbished and has a fresh, welcoming feel that makes a good impression from the moment you walk in. Most importantly, the staff have all been consistently friendly and caring. It's clear they take the time to get to know the children and create a supportive, positive environment. Overall, we've felt very comfortable and reassured with the care our son is receiving.

My child moved to Forres st when Port Hamilton closed - the move was so smooth & he settled in with no issues atal. The site Manager is very welcoming,helpful & always on hand when needed, she is very understanding of parent & childrens needs. The staff in the room are great - they have my son outdoors alot which i love as he is outfoods alot when not in nursery, the staff are always coming up with different activites & experiences for the children so of which we dont do at home. My child smiles & goes in no problem - the staff are doing an amazing job from where i am standing :)

We've had an excellent experience with BusyBees Forres Street. Starting our little one off shortly before her first birthday, it was naturally a daunting time but the team have been wonderful at helping us to feel reassured. No little question or thought has been too much/little to be covered and discussed if we have wanted Our little one has such a great time there and has come on leaps and bounds since starting. Thank you to the whole team!

I cannot recommend Busy Bee Forres Street enough! Our daughter has been attending for nearly 7 months and has loved every minute of it. Since starting there, she has developed so much, and I love seeing what she is up to on the app. She goes in smiling every day and we can go to work knowing she is safe and well-looked after. The staff are just wonderful! They are attentive and caring and have supported us as a family through different stages of our daughter's development. As an (anxious) first time parent I am particularly grateful for the incredible manager who goes out of her way to keep parents informed and is deeply committed to seeing everyone at Forres Street thrive.

My child is always happy to go. I feel calm seeing him always happy. He always does many activities and is learning a lot. the staff is supporting me in potty training and this is really important to me. Every time I asked for additional sections I was always supported.

My son goes to Busy Bees Edinburgh Forres Street and he loves it. The nursery is wonderful and the staff are amazing. The centre director is so amazing. My son has the best time every day he goes and I feel so happy that he is safe and looked after so well.

Busy Bees Edinburgh Forres Street staff have been very helpful as my child got settled, supportive of us, and engaged in reporting activities and goings on during the day. My child clearly looks forward to going to Busy Bees each morning, eagerly getting his shoes and coat to get out the door, and jumps right into playing on arrival.

Our daughter has attended Forres Street Nursery since 2023. During that time she has received excellent care and loves going to nursery. All of the staff are, caring and attentive and are genuinely passionate about their jobs. Changes in the management of the nursery have also brought about some excellent improvements. New security, upgraded facilities etc. We cannot recommend this nursery more highly. Huge thanks to the team for all of their hard work.

The nursery's exceptional staff have forged strong bonds with both of my children, making it easier for me as a working parent. The 2023 incident of a missing child at the nursery initially led me to consider removing my children. However, reassurance from another parent highlighted that the nursery's safeguarding measures are now likely among the strongest in Edinburgh due to increased scrutiny post-incident. Changes include enhanced safeguarding measures, new leadership and stricter protocols. I am now confident that my children are in excellent care at one of Edinburgh's top nurseries. With a nurturing and educational environment, the staff go above and beyond, treating the children like their own. The exceptional food options provide a well-balanced diet, allowing older children some meal choices for a sense of ownership over their health. Recent upgrades to the kitchen and outdoor play area, with upcoming room renovations, promise top-notch facilities for the children.

We've had one child at the nursery for 4 years now and a second there for just over a year. Although the centre suffered from a rotation in managers in quick succession following the pandemic, the new management team (from early 2024) and room staff are all fantastic and, once again it's as great as when our first child joined. A new parent app has been introduced with check in/check out times, updates are really thorough, and every morning we're asked how our children are that day to ensure a good handover. There are structured activities for all ages, loads of outdoor time and lots of learning and development for the older ones. The first ever carol service was held just before Christmas too (parents were invited). Parents evenings/open days are regularly held. With nursery having their own chef, the children are exposed to a fantastic range of foods throughout the week and come home telling us about the amazing food, baking and snacks that they get.

Would not recommend this centre. We have had to move our 2-year-old after he was left in a park during an outing. He was thankfully found unhurt by a local dog walker! The parent app is never filled out and pick-up is so chaotic it's difficult to speak to anyone to ask what they have done that day. Staff turnaround is very high with unfamiliar faces daily.

There are scary moments in a family's life, especially when you move to a new country and your little son will start nursery in a language that he does not speak. However Busy Bees, Forres Street welcomed him in the most appropriate way, helped him to settle, has been patient with him and also with us as parents. The whole atmosphere gives you comfort that your little one will be safe and will have fun, too. Special thanks to one member of staff in particular, who dedicates wonderful attention to our son and we hope to stay long years here. We are very thankful!

My son has been attending Busy Bees, Edinburgh Forres Street since January 2023, when he was 10 months old. We are very happy and all the staff has been communicative and helpful always. Also due to unexpected day changes we needed, the nursery has been very flexible. Thank you for taking care of our babies!

I have had all three of my boy's journey through all the rooms as New Town and am so impressed by the team there. I have felt extremely comfortable leaving my children there under the management of the director. Superb experience and one I have recommended to friends already.

Thank you to everyone at New Town Nursery Too! Our daughter has attended there since she was one, and she has loved her time in each and every room. The staff have always been so welcoming, warm and approachable and always take time to provide feedback and a review of her day. They have supported her to settle into nursery and have always been flexible and thoughtful with her transition to new rooms, tailoring each step to her. We will be so sad to leave due to our home move, but we will forever be grateful for all of the wonderful development opportunities, fun, adventures, play and learning that she has experienced. A huge heartfelt thank you!

Both children love going to the nursery and have very much enjoyed their time ever since they first started at 8 months old. My husband and I have been incredibly impressed with all their nurturing care and professional approach to childcare. For the last 2.5 years, we have been with the nursery, we have come across very low staff turnover. The staff are always friendly and approachable. The management team are very helpful and constantly provide communication to the parents. Thank you so much for all you have done in making our children feel comfortable, cared for and safe which give us full peace of mind at work. Fantastic five-star care and I cannot recommend enough to all parents.

The manager and her team at New Town Nursery Too have been so fantastic over the last 18 months looking after our son. It is with such a heavy heart that we have had to change nurseries and is only due to moving house. The communication from her and team is always incredible and it really feels like she knows each child individually. There’s a real feeling of family and love in the nursery and we only hope our new nursery can live up to the high standard set by the Manager and her team.
