My Grandaughter is new at the nursery and she loves it, when we looked around in settle in session we were introduced to her key worker who was very welcoming and polite she went through everything about nursery and what was expected all the staff we met are great. The staff keep you updated on
daily diaries and any events or updates in nursery, it is a great setting for children and plenty to do and learn i highly recommend to others.

Flying Start Marjon is an amazing setting, my little girl absolutely loves it. The staff have cared for her with the upmost attention from day 1, supporting her to firstly feel comfortable in the setting and then to develop her confidence. It really feels like a little family, my daughter even
thinks the staff are at 'work' on their days off! All of the staff are really friendly and enthusiastic and respond promptly to any parental enquiries.
My little one loves the half termly books and the focus on one story has really helped to develop her language and early comprehension skills. A very wide range of opportunities are available for the children including access to the outdoors, lots of opportunities to get really messy and trips to the forest.

Highly Recommend - Caring Staff, Great Routine, Excellent Development!
As a first-time parent, I was anxious about sending my daughter to nursery before her first birthday, but this nursery completely changed my mind. The staff are incredibly friendly and caring, and the day is so well-structured
that children learn routines, enjoy a variety of activities, and thrive socially.
My daughter eats well, tries new foods, and naps much better here than at home. I can genuinely see how nursery is helping her development, especially her social skills.
I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone-and I truly believe starting young is a big benefit. If anything, I wish I'd started her just one day a week during my maternity leave!

My son has attended this nursery since he was one and is turning three this week. He has moved through all of the rooms and settled quickly into every one of them, forming lovely relationships with all the staff along the way. The team are incredibly kind, caring and genuinely dedicated to each
child's development. They are always up to date with training, and you can really see this being put into practice across every room. The nursery provides a safe, welcoming and enriching environment, and my son absolutely loves going each day.
They are also fantastic when it comes to nutrition and individual food requirements, including allergies. As my son doesn't eat very much at home, it is really reassuring to know that he is encouraged to eat well at nursery and that his dietary needs are always taken seriously and carefully managed.
It gives me real peace of mind when I'm at work knowing he is so happy, safe and well cared for. I honestly couldn't recommend a better place for him to be.

Our daughter absolutely loves attending Flying Start @ Marjon which is such a comforting feeling as parents. She's always so happy going into nursery. We are regularly updated on her progress and the activities she has been doing throughout her days at nursery. We really enjoy seeing all the photo
updates so we are able to incorporate similar activities at home and discuss her days at nursery with her. All the staff are lovely and welcoming and our daughter is always happy to hand over with any of the staff whether it's her key worker or not. Our daughter's key worker as well as everyone else in the baby room are amazing with her and really take time to understand her needs, likes and dislikes. The staff really go above and beyond and we couldn't be happier. We strongly recommend Flying Start Marjons.

I love this nursery. I used here with my daughter and now with my youngest son, I wish we had used it with my oldest son too.
My youngest who currently goes here has been in the baby room and is currently in the toddler room. The staff are amazing! His key workers in the baby room and in the
toddler room have been amazing.
All the staff are great will take the time to listen to you about your child and will support you in every way! Both children who have been here have felt safe.
They have forest school and encourage outdoors as often as they can, my son does cooking which he loves, his speech has come on so much.
They have the best meals and it's cooked in-house which is just awesome!

Choosing a nursery for your child is such a big decision, but after viewing this setting I knew instantly it would be the best place to enrol my children. (Compared to other settings I viewed in the area). All staff are incredibly welcoming (even early in the morning)! And my child always gets
excited when we arrive - something I was always nervous about when returning to work.
Every interaction I have had with this nursery has been a positive one and the facilities are second to none. Throughout the day we always receive regular updates about the child's learning journey which is something I find invaluable.
All the above has had such a positive effect on my transition with going back to work much smoother. I would, (and have), recommended this nursery to close friends.

Absolutely love! From the moment we walked in, we felt like part of a welcoming and caring community. The team are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly warm and engaging with the children. It's clear that they foster a positive and creative learning environment where kids can explore, learn,
and grow at their own pace. The curriculum strikes a perfect balance between structured learning and play, and there's always something new and exciting happening every day. My child has blossomed here, and I couldn't be more thankful for the nurturing environment they've provided. Highly recommend it to any parent looking for a place where their child will thrive!

Our daughter is very happy at nursery, she is always excited to go and comes home all tired out and has made friends with the staff and the other children. The staff do a great job and are always happy and helpful.

Due to moving to Plymouth from Poole (Dorset), my daughter joined flying start Marjon in November 2024. She had been at her previous nursery for over 2 years and loved it there. The staff at Flying Start at Marjon have made her transition as easy as possible and she has settled in extremely well. I
find the approach extremely informative and caring. For those children in the over 3 year group, the balance between play, nurture and educating is great. I would highly recommend flying start, especially if your child likes a variety of activities and being outdoors.

My son started here in November of last year due to a house move and we were worried it would take a while for him to get settled after coming from a different nursery setting, however, he settled in so quickly and always came home saying he had so much fun asking when he will next be in. The
settling in sessions at the very start were so helpful in seeing what he would do and where he would play day to day. Everyone was so informative warm and welcoming during the whole process and day to day, they are really lovely and easy to talk to, and they keep you updated with pictures of what your child is getting up to throughout the week through an app that we have full access to which is amazing. We are looking forward to seeing what he gets up to in the lead up to primary school, and we will most definitely be sending our youngest here when he's ready too!

Absolutely amazing staff and team. When my child started, she was still struggling to form coherent sentences and took a while to get involved with other children. Since last September, she has grown so much (in height and with her vocabulary)! The team are understanding and does their best to
support the children as individuals. Regular updates as well on how my child's been doing. Highly recommend.

Flying Start is absolutely outstanding! Our little girl has settled in perfectly from a young age, she loves it and is thriving. Every day she is so happy to go in with the team and has the best time exploring, learning and developing new skills. All the staff are amazing and so supportive it's like
one big family. I can confidently go off to work and not worry as I know she's well looked after and safe. I am so glad I chose this nursery and would recommend it to anyone. When all the children come out happy, smiling and laughing you know your children are in the right place.

Since my son started in 2023, the care towards him and us as a family has been exceptional! They do go above and beyond. My son loves attending nursery and has built up a great rapport with staff members and has lovely friendships with children. They have a broad range of activities on offer and
ensuring its child led. The outdoor space my son especially loves! He's come on so well since starting nursery and we can't thank the staff enough.

My daughter has been at the nursery since she was one. The baby room was so amazing with her and done super amazing accommodating her advance motor skills. All baby room staff and friend helpful and great and feeding back how the day has been when at pick up. She is now currently in the toddler
room and preparing for her move up into the pre school area. The toddler room identified her lack in speech and done 1-2-1 sessions with her to help her along and not be delayed she is now fully chatting and singing her heart out. She walks into the nursery and doesn't wave goodbye. Again all the staff in the toddler area are super helpful kind and clear with communication. Always happy to help and supportive when we went through potty training and sassy tantrums. I love all the updates you get each week and seeing the activities that the staff do daily and regularly with the kids. It's a massive learn through play and guide them in social skills and sharing. My daughter goes to this setting. The staff are lovely and know my little girl really well. She has a great relationship with all of her key workers (special thanks to Hannah in the toddler room and Sarah in pre school!) I love that I can talk with staff and have a quality handover. It's great that
they tell us what books they are reading so we can do this too at home. My daughter always comes home happy, I'm really grateful to the staff for her positive experience. Thank you!

Flying Start is an exceptional nursery and my little boy has thrived since attending the setting. All of the staff are welcoming, smiley and passionate about the children. Even the ladies in the other rooms know my little boy by name which makes me feel so comfortable leaving him in their care.
Everyday I hear stories of baking, playing outside and singing / dancing. My little one is only 18 months old but walks in waving me goodbye and comes home super confident and showing off his new skills. Being a parent of this nursery feels like you're part of a family and every child I see being dropped off and picked up has a smile on their face. My little one's key worker is fantastic, she is so in tune with the children and always smiling even at a 07:30am drop off!

Flying start @ Marjon is hands down the best nursery I have sent my children to (2 & 4) and we have tried a few now. They have both been there for around a year and a half and I can honestly say that I have had nothing but positive experiences. My girls adore the setting and have a wonderful time in
the outdoor space and spending time in their hut. The staff are so friendly and you can really tell they all genuinely enjoy being with the children. They always spare time at the end of the day to catch you up on how your child has been. They are always happy to help with any concerns and are so accommodating. I am only slightly devastated that my eldest will be moving up to school soon as I wish she could stay in such a wonderful nurturing setting! Thank you so much to the amazing staff who work tirelessly to ensure all of the children have a good day everyday, you are very much appreciated.

Flying Start @ Marjon is absolutely outstanding and I couldn't ask for a better setting for my daughter. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, super friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. My daughter has additional needs and the team have been incredibly supportive. We have built such
strong relationships it is likely they are a part of the family. We will be leaving to start school shortly and will miss the nursery a lot! Thank you all for everything!

Our son goes to this nursery and has done so for the past 2 years. He absolutely loves it and the nursery gets the kids involved in all sorts of exciting activities. A good day in our opinion is when they come home messy from play, he is constantly covered in something from either outside in the
garden or indoor activities and always comes out with a smile. They get the kids involved with growing food to show the cycle to sometimes getting them involved with making their cooked lunches.
Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone that asks.
