It the best school/ nursery in Hendon.. my both the girls have been here and it is overall a great start for the kids. We trust the faculty completely, they are great with kids, and the overall development is also remarkable .. would highly recommend

My daughter joined Hendon Prep as soon as she turned three and spent two wonderful years in preschool. I honestly cannot thank the Early Years team and the school as a whole enough for the love, care, and support they have given her. They truly nurtured my daughter and prepared her so beautifully
for her school journey ahead. The Early Years staff are incredibly friendly, approachable, and supportive. They always make time for both children and parents, which makes such a difference. Communication between the school and parents is transparent, clear, and efficient, giving real reassurance that your child is in the best hands.The teachers clearly have a real passion for what they do and it truly shows. The activities are creative, engaging, and educational, and they have had a huge impact on developing my daughter's learning skills and confidence. The friendships between the children are also lovely to see and are so thoughtfully nurtured by the school.Absolutely amazing, thank you!!

I currently have two sons at the school, and my three-year-old daughter joined them in September 2025. It has been a wonderful experience for her; she truly loves going to school and adores her teachers.
As a parent, I have always had a positive feeling when dropping my children off. It is such
an encouraging, optimistic, and supportive environment. I am particularly grateful for the support provided during my daughter's journey in becoming comfortable and confident with using the bathroom.

Since joining Hendon Prep in September, our daughter has settled wonderfully into preschool and quickly become a valued part of the class. She approaches each day with curiosity, confidence, and a growing enthusiasm for new activities.
She is forming lovely friendships, engages well during group
time, and is developing her independence. Her imagination shines through in her play, and both her fine- and gross-motor skills are progressing steadily.
Socially and emotionally, she is flourishing - kind, cooperative, and increasingly confident in expressing her needs.
Overall, our daughter has made an excellent start, and we are delighted with her progress this term.

I have had a positive feeling about dropping my child off at school. it has been an encouraging, optimistic and supporting environment, having helped with my child's journey of being comfortable and confident with using the bathroom. Not just growth in learning and play, but can handle business.

The manager and the team are absolutely great, really helpful and friendly. Amazing infrastructure, our son has been there since April. He still absolutely loves attending the school every day. They do a lot of fun activities and we receive a weekly summary of what our child did during the week.
This nursery and its staff really go the extra mile, thank you Hendon Prep for your valuable support.

The Hendon Prep Preschool is a wonderful setting for the children to explore and develop in a nurturing environment. My daughter started in September 2020 having been home since the lockdown in March 2020 so we were concerned she would not enjoy it. Well almost 9 months in and she is loving it! The
Early Years Leader leads the preschool curriculum and is phenomenal with her extensive experience of working with young children and bringing the best out of them. The school is filled with happy children alongside an experienced and dedicated team of staff. In particular the school has a wonderful outdoor forest play area where the children spend a lot of time learning through practical play. Highly recommend this preschool.

Hendon Prep is a lovely school with wonderful staff and great facilities! The outdoor woodland area and digital boards are great. They are very caring and my son has grown in confidence there. He’s made lots of friends there. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly teachers. My daughter fitted in right away.
They have shown care and support from day one and went above and beyond to make sure she is well looked after.

My child joined Hendon Prep 3+ in April. He loves it. The teachers are very welcoming and nice. Also, there are lots of activities and educations offered to my child. I think Hendon Prep is a very proper preschool.

I only have good things to say about Hendon Prep and their Preschool class. My daughter started there in September 2020 and it has been a great experience for her. She loves going to school, she adores her teachers, you can see the impact the school has had on her: from becoming more confident, the
way she speaks and communicates, her vocabulary, numbers, letters, her French is coming along nicely. All of that is thanks to the school, the teachers and the excellent curriculum they have. She was happy in her previous nursery and we were not sure whether to change her or not but we are so pleased with the decision we made and so is she! It is great seeing her learning and growing in a nurturing and caring environment.

A fantastic preschool. I couldn't have chosen a better Early Years Foundation Stage setting for my child. The staff are well trained and the standard of the provision is exceptionally high. I am thoroughly pleased with the choice we made.

Early year leader has recently been replaced and follows a highly strict environment in her style of teaching.
The attitude of other staff members is nurturing but they clearly lack the support of right leadership. My kid found it very difficult to settle. They insist on a particular style of
writing and can often public shame the parents in PTA meetings. Feedback to parents is neither online nor regular and least constructive.
Kids do come back home with heavy and harsh words like 'disappointed' or 'hate' commonly used by Early year leader. My child has cleared entrance exams of another elite school but knowing this school is a non-assessment school and less academic, I decided to go with it. I don't think early year academic pressure is required. But EYFS expectation is of 2 batches up. The curriculum is wide and the food is good. Staff from upper batch seem friendly and welcoming. Can't wait for my child to move up and get the right support from his teachers. At present not the right school for my child.

This is informed by Outstanding interpersonal relationship of the teacher to the pupil with special focus on individual learning needs and ability. I also appreciate the keen attention in psychomotor and affective domains of instruction and learning. In particular also, is the attention on
developing and inculcating universal values and traits onto the pupils. I further take note of meticulous focus in developing traits aimed at inculcating a sense of self-esteem, and independent-minded persons.

All three of my children have attended Hendon Preparatory School. The new manager is fantastic and has made some positive changes to the method of teaching and types of activities the children are involved in. It is a very nurturing environment and I would recommend the school to any family looking
for a Pre-School for their child locally.

We completely relish Hendon Prep and consider ourselves lucky as it’s such a brilliant place on all fronts. It ticks all the right boxes for us and the staff are of first degree. It's a lovely environment with excellent teaching and learning. The activities that the staff create for all age groups
are very imaginative and original and develop the children's skills and challenge their abilities. I love the opportunities that my little girl has been given and I can see her flourish in such a caring environment. I honestly think Hendon Prep has significantly enriched her early year's experience. A fab manager and a fab team!
I thoroughly recommend this nursery.

I have been very happy with the school. Our child has thrived in this warm and nurturing environment. The teachers have provided excellent support to our child’s development and has matured as a result. There is a good balance between academia and play. Phonics, maths lessons, tennis and forest
school are good examples of this. I cannot recommend the pre-school highly enough.

The Early Years Lead and Deputy Manager are brilliant! They are so caring and nurturing but also aim to help children progress academically which I consider important. My son settled in so quickly - which is unusual for him! He really looks forward to attending which is a testament to the staff.

We are absolutely delighted with this choice of school for our 3-year-old daughter. The teachers are warm, friendly and caring towards all the children in her class and their attention to detail is fantastic. We are so impressed by resources that the children have access to every day. She seems to
be learning a huge amount and often comes home with some form of artwork which is wonderful! Physical, social and emotional skills are all covered in a balanced way and we rate the school 'Outstanding' and have already been recommending it to all our friends!
