View Full Details of St Thomas's Day NurserySt Thomas' has been a truly wonderful experience for our children. They are a warm and friendly team who want only the best for all the children they care for. They make the effort to really get to know and support each family. Their kindness has really allowed our children to flourish and they have developed hugely and are now ready for their next steps into school. The varied activities help the children learn all the skills they need through fun games. I cannot thank you all enough!
My little boy started here just before he was 3 and is now about to start school this September. He has made incredible progress since starting here. His confidence, communication & social skills have improved brilliantly. All members of the team are extremely helpful, kind & caring, and nothing is too much trouble. They have a genuine interest in his development & have been very helpful with any extra help he has needed. A really lovely nursery. I have been really happy with the care he has received here.
We honestly couldn't be happier with this nursery. Since our son started, we've seen such an incredible difference in him - he's grown in confidence, become more independent, and his communication and social skills have come on so well. He's always excited to go in and often talks about the fun he's had during the day. The staff are absolutely wonderful - so caring, patient, and clearly passionate about what they do. They make every child feel safe, valued, and supported, and that really shows in how happy and settled the children are. The activities are varied and thoughtful, with lots of learning through play, creativity, and outdoor time. We also really appreciate the homemade meals provided - they're nutritious, well-balanced, and prepared with care. It's lovely to know our son is enjoying healthy food while at nursery (he often tells us what he had for lunch!). Thank you to the whole team - you've made such a positive impact on our little boy's early years.
Sent my child to nursery called in advance to say his arms were bit red after playing outside and have numerous layers of suncream on they called me in the building to talk to say that it's was burning hot and safeguarding issue and got told to take him to the pharmacy so I did he saw the doctor there was told it's not burning hot he's perfectly fine to keep put suncream and after sun on. He's been here since he was 2 and half years old we have spent 30 pound on replacing juice bottle after they go missing as well as a lunchbox that is last great nan got that's disappeared without a trace aswell will not be send my other child here to save me the trip of travelling at 6 in the morning to come to nursery for my eldest son so wont be bothering sending my youngest will find a better nursery than here
My little boy has been attending St Thomas's Nursery for 2 years and staff have always been polite, considerate and caring. The amount of progress that he's made has been incredible to watch and it's comforting to see a smile on his face on pick ups. A massive thank you.
Fantastic nursery with family at its core. My eldest has been attending 1 day a week for the last year and a half, he lives his day at nursery and gets excited every Tuesday morning. My youngest will be starting soon. He will only be 6 months old when he starts, but I have no fears and you know that he will be in very safe, nurturing hands having a fantastic time whilst I'm at work. The other fantastic thing is how flexible they are, when my eldest started my partner worked shifts so my little one did different hours each week and it was never an issue.
My son has been coming here for 15 months now. He also has suspected ASD. St Thomas Nursery have been amazing and very helpful in all aspects and even though my son is still behind his peers, he has come a long way, thanks to the help of St Thomas.
I send both of my children to St Thomas’s Day Nursery, and they have both come on leaps and bounds with their speech, confidence, singing, drawing, potty training (for my eldest), knowledge. They both interact well with other children and adults now and my eldest holds long conversations and is always talking about his friends and the staff from nursery. They adjusted to going to nursery so well and settled quickly thanks to the incredibly friendly and patient staff. When we collect them from nursery they’re so happy and my eldest tells me all about his day. They eat and try lots of different food I wouldn’t offer at home and eat very well at nursery. The facilities at nursery are brilliant and there are lots of things for the children to play with. The staff create and do so many activities with them and they’re always busy. I am so greatful I found St Thomas’s and I will be sad when they have to leave.
We have had children attend St Thomas's since 2017 and will continue to for a couple of years to come. We couldn’t speak more highly of the setting and all of the wonderful people who work there. Firstly the setting is a lovely size, small enough to cater to individual needs and build personal relationships whilst being large enough to have ‘rooms’ for children to be based with others of a similar age. The staff turnover is exceptionally low and being a family-run setting these values shine through in their approach. All of the people who work there go above and beyond to welcome the children and ensure they enjoy their time there. They have catered to our children’s many allergies and have also supported our varying needs for days and hours as schedules have changed. The children always learn so much, activities are fun whilst building key skills in all areas. We will be genuinely sad when our final child goes to school in a few years and we have to say goodbye to all at St Thomas's.
Lovely nursery, our child has come on leaps and bounds since starting in June. The staff are amazing with him and really care about the children. We are always given regular updates about his development. He also has a lovely homemade meal every day.
My son has been attending this nursery for the past 6 months. From the start the staff have been fantastic, really friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell how much they care about the children. It's really reassuring to see how excited my son is when he runs through the door into nursery. The amount he has learnt in 6 months of going to nursery is phenomenal!
I am extremely pleased with St Thomas’s Day nursery. My child is always happy to go and really enjoys it whilst there. She learns lots and is very happy to talk about what she has done during her day. The day is structured with lots of opportunities for learning, and the staff are always very helpful, happy and flexible.
Excellent nursery, my child thrives here, the nursery staff all know the children so well and help them to develop from babies to well rounded pre-schoolers. The nursery is set in a lovely spot and being a smaller nursery it gives a more homely and family feeling compared to bigger national run nurseries.
Our son goes to St Thomas' Day Nursery and he absolutely loves it! The staff are incredible, the building and outdoor space are fantastic and the nursery has amazing resources and learning tools. Our son has come on absolutely fantastic from the time he started when he was 9 months old. Our son was born prematurely and the staff have always been amazing with him, making sure they all knew about his individual needs and supported him accordingly! He is now 3 and asks to go to ‘school’ even on the weekends! Wouldn’t want our son going to any other nursery and any children that we have in the future will attend St Thomas' too! We can’t thank the staff enough.
Wouldn’t send my children anywhere else! Excellent care is given, always regular updates and the most loveliest staff! My children love the food and the staff, and I enjoy checking the app to see pictures of the children whilst I’m working. I can’t thank you all enough!
My son has been at St Thomas' since he was 11 months old, and he loves it. He’s now 2, and loves his couple of days at nursery. The staff are all so friendly, and communication with parents is brilliant. We get to see lots of pictures on the app about his day and the variety of meals he gets to have. Lovely nursery, very welcoming and accommodating with our shifts.
Friendly and understanding staff. My daughter loves going to nursery! She eats all her meals and has done really well with potty training. She’s also made some good friends there. I would definitely recommend this nursery.
My daughter has been attending St Thomas’s Day Nursery for a couple of years. They have lots of activities to offer that have helped with my daughter's learning and speech. All of the staff are friendly and caring and always offer support.
All the staff at St Thomas's have been so fantastic with both of my children. They are really good at keeping you informed throughout the day and at pick-up time. The staff are very warm and caring and have always given lots of support to our family. The activities they do with the kids are fun and help them all to develop important skills. They are very flexible and accommodating to all the children and parents. We couldn’t ask for a better nursery!
If you are looking for a nursery for your little one, don't look any further, as St Thomas' Day Nursery is the perfect place for all children. My son was 3-years-Old when he started to go to the nursery. I was really worried as he had never been away from me and it was just after lockdown, so he wasn't used to strangers. Yet, it only took a couple of weeks for him to settle in and it is down to the wonderful care and support he has been getting from the staff at this fantastic family run nursery. The nursery offers delicious and nutritious on-site cooked meals, which my son loves so much he usually has second helpings! If you decide to go for this nursery, your child will be well cared for, enjoy going to nursery and will be engaged throughout the day with different activities where their carers are involved too. All the staff are lovely and provide great feedback on how your little one was and what they did that day. I feel my son is happy and safe here and highly recommend this nursery.
