The top nurseries in the UK have been revealed by leading nursery reviews website daynurseries.co.uk.
Each year, in a bid to make it easier for parents, families, and carers to find the right childcare setting, daynurseries.co.uk names the Top 20 nurseries in all regions of the UK, alongside the top nursery groups.
The early years sector continues to face significant challenges — from staffing shortages to challenges related to SEND provision and adherence to new guidance around essentials and extra charges. Yet despite this, the sector is also seeing additional opportunities to grow.
As of this week, eligible working parents of children aged 9 months old before this September can apply to receive up to 30 hours of free childcare per week. This expansion could save families up to £7,500 a year per child, and up to £8,000 for those with school-aged children — a move expected to boost both nursery uptake and workforce participation.
Out of 14,967 nurseries in the UK, the top 20 in each region have been selected based on over 70,000 reviews written by parents, relatives, and guardians between April 2023 and March 2025. They are not only delivering exceptional standards of care but also creating nurturing environments that give every child the best possible start in life.
The Top 20 awards are based on the reviews received by the nurseries, which are rated on a number of important elements including care, food, facilities, staff, safeguarding, management, and value for money. daynurseries.co.uk makes it easier for parents to choose between the wide range of nursey options available by offering comprehensive information about the kind of childcare on offer, as well as fees and opening hours.
